I love their versatility. They’ve said they don’t want to be a one style band. They are doing songs to give Mayu some breather from screams during shows. But they’ve said they recorded very heavy stuff. It’s not on Evolve. So well find out eventually. Hazuki had said she was listening to Nu metal stuff, and enjoyed it. They have such variety in influences. Grunge, Metal, Hard Rock, Prog, Nu Metal, Rock. Haraguchi San a Slipknot fan. Hazuki an Arch Enemy fan. Mayu a Foo Fighters, Grunge fan. Saki a Saikema II, Babymetal fan. Tamu a Dream theater, Opeth fan.
Music by Hazuki. She's a absolute riffmeister beast. I hear some of her demos for Ibanez and it's like, why don't they unleash her more for Nemophila albums?!
I love the Indian metal feel, but I think Hazuki & Nemophila have put their own original stamp on it and taken it to the next level! Nemophila are completely unafraid of trying out new things and it's what I love most about them (*next to them as musicians, of course)
I hadn’t made this connection before you mentioned it. Koiai (w/ Hazuki) performed at the same festival as Blosdywood in India and then watched their performance. They all loved Bloodywood. You’ve probably scene that video, but thanks for making me think. Spot On.
However, Amaterasu is the most representative goddess of Japan, and the lyrics and theme are based on the Japanese goddess. "Dance and make noise!(odoreya sawageya)" is the chant of Japanese festivals. The only part that has a Bollywood feel is the intro and a little bit in the middle. Moreover, it's not Bollywood itself, it's just that she was inspired by little bit Bollywood. If this was a Bollywood song, they wouldn't have named it Amaterasu. "Light up this world" is a Japanese myth about the sun goddess amatererasu. In terms of ratio, it's about 90% Shinto and 10% Bollywood.
@@novrinkov0053 I appreciate your insight and opinion. I’m not sure what you didn’t like about what Hazuki said. What you mentioned was pretty much summarized by what she said: "envisioning summer festivals," wasn’t it? It means Matsuri and has a direct connection with Shintoism, which totally aligns with Amaterasu Omikami. By the way, people might say "odoreya sawageya" or similar things. In fact, Su-Metal says "odotte sawage" instead in "PA PA YA," which means the same, but those aren’t chants. Typical chants you hear are "Wasshoi," "Dokkoi," "Dokkoisho," "Sore," and so on, which you often hear in Babymetal songs as well.🤘🦊🤘

NEMOPHILA IS BACK!!! 🤘🤘🤘 Wow! Great reaction guys! I would love to see a breakdown of this song Alan. Haraguchisan's bass and vocals in thios would be great to hear on a separation of the tracks. That was phenomenal. Exactly what I expect from Nemophila. My CD should arrive this week.! Can't wait! 😃
Whoa, what did I just hear? It took a couple of listens to digest it. Now my favorite Nemophila song. I hope you GG will do another video really breaking this one down. Doing all those covers earlier Nemophila learned from the masters. I hope some American kids starting out will learn to cover this.
Impresionante canción, me saco el sombrero por Mayu y todos! Santo dios, hoy fue un día muy abrumador, escuchar tantas canciones tan buenas en un solo día de Nemophila! Esos gritos tan hermosos fue una locura! Qué hermoso!
In my opinion, Japanese Rock/Metal are making an innovation in international Rock, but Nemophila is simply a separate style within global Metal. And Mayu is the most peculiar voice in the Metal world. Incredible! Greetings from Brazil!!✌✌✌
Great reaction guys. Shivers up my spine listening to this.Nemophila never in doubt for me. They were always going to do something like this. Exactly what? That is the only unknown. It’s still going to be Nemophila though.
Official music for Japanese Special Forces to listen while halo-jumping from MV-22, at the crack of dawn, with the Sun Goddess Amaterasu rising behind Mount Fuji and glittering in the ocean. Or... John Wick 5 OST. Same thing.
@@michelm.6033 Remember that "Barra Barra" song from "Black Hawk Down" movie? That... "Hey! Ho! Let''s go!" kinda vibe at the beginning... I imagine everybody in full gear, listening in the aircraft, and when the heaviness hits...they jump... and then there are a few seconds of bliss, of peace in the air, falling... and then the heaviness just go full metal gear, terminal velocity, and sheeeznuts!
@@RazvanMihaeanu Yes, great memory (I mean the movie scene).. I was actually a very very small supporting cog in that situation. Amaterasu is the god of the sun in Japanese mythology. One day, Amaterasu retreated into a cave. The world falls into darkness because Amaterasu is the sun god. Everyone throws a party in front of the cave. Amaterasu comes out of the cave looking happy. I think this song is about that kind of myth.

Hazuki wrote a banger. This song is phenomenal. The new album is absolutely incredible
I've listened to this at least a dozen times today. I haven't done that since Revive.

Fanático de Opeth! Voy de inmediato a buscar esa banda!
My favorite band anywhere, and their ridiculous versatility (while always maintaining their core sound) is just one of the reasons.
Saki obviously loves it, the way she moves at the start is enough to get you hyped by itself.
This song rips. Genre-mashing but making it their own. No solos. Just incredible feel from all of them. Hottest band on the planet, hands down.

Nemophila is my favorite girl group now they just hit you different already love this song
Yep striate into my top 5 as well you just can not stay still you gota move .And the fast beat close to the end is amazing .

Always bangers!
Wow - This is so great. I seem to like anything this band do. Such a versatile band. And I love Mayu's vocals so much. 10/10 performance.
NEMOPHILA big hole in my heart.🤗🌸
Yes, definitely in my top 5. Haraguchi-sun's bass lines in this was sic.
Hazuki mentioned being inspired by BLOODYWOOD and wrote this song while envisioning a summer festival in the recent Nemophila streaming session. 🤘

As a genXer who grew up on 80’s metal, the word expression “old school nu metal vibes” just sounds terribly wrong to me. 😂😂😂
Godzilla appears in a tribal society in India. 🦖

It was Maximum Nemohone😁😁😁
Amaterasu is a Japanese goddess.
This goddess brought sun to lightless Japan.
An educated man, very nice. 😁👌
Let me add a bit.
Amaterasu is a top of Japanese gods and an ancestor of Japanese emperor.
I knew it @JohnReavesLive !!!
