Cole, those last feelings are mutual for a vast majority of us, I can guarantee it. My grandfather passed back in Winter 2020 and he had stopped his angus operation many years prior to that. You take me back to those simpler days, where you saw the work as important no matter what because it was your work that you were putting in toward your operation. I see all that I wished I would have done while my grandpa was alive, but thankful for the memories I do have and the way watching you fellas make me reminisce about it.

Cole we, as seniors, can't thank you enough for taking us along with you & your Dad on the workings of your farms. It takes me back to when I was a little girl helping my Dad. Many hours of work that I sometimes didn't want to do but that's what farm life is all about. Work together for the end result. I enjoy the conversations you have back & forth with each other. Storla Station is my kind of my place founded by my set of principles. I thought I was going to be able to get there last fall but unfortunately it didn't work out. Later this spring for sure. I live in North Central Wisconsin and I'm sure the 7 hour drive will be worth it. Who knows?? Maybe Brian will be waiting on me?

Those are some mighty fancy tractors you boys have. That Cerakote finish is holding up nicely. And England Swings by Roger Miller is a classic. My grandparents owned the local tavern in the small rural town I grew up in and when they got new records in for the jukebox, I got the old ones. One of them was England Swings on the A side and the B side was You Can't Roller Skate With a Buffalo Herd. After the 10,000th time I played those, my mom threatened to smash them into pieces. It was driving her nuts! lol And our local skating rink was called The Idyllwild. When they called "couple skate!" over the intercom and Styx's Babe started playing, that's when the real romance started. Holding hands with your sweetheart while roller skating was something special! How can you grow up straight without detasseling corn on Saturday, then taking the money you made, all $10, to the rink and listening to the best music ever recorded?

For me you guys have become the best farm channel on UA-cam......get bored watching the other guys spit shine their combines all winter.....this is the real stuff right here, I used to feed cows when it was minus 30 degrees, trying to keep waterers working in that weather was no fun. The winter of 1983 the weatherman predicted minus 30 and 70 mph winds( like minus 100 degrees windchills) I went out at midnight got the 4230 started and dumped huge scoops of old hay behind the windbreak by the tree strip and the cows just burrowed into it that night. The next morning when I walked around the farm everywhere I went there was dead mice.....frozen in position...they came out looking for something to eat and payed the price.....thank you guys for doing this....takes me back.

OMG!!!At the store when you guys were fixing tire brought back so many good memories I had in my life working on the Ohio Turnpike& Farming for my dad & brothers after my regular job . Tks gentleman. Hope your 2024 is great. My dad always had 50 head of cattle in the barn when I was growing up. What memories 👍❤️

The Way, what a song by Fastball about Lela and Raymond Howard. Sad story all around but I like the way the band starts the couple out as young without a care in the world, God rest their souls. Good song. England Swings by Roger Miller was a fun one at the skating rinks. I can see Brian, elbows and the guys they connected with flying, laughter and and mayhem on four small wheels. Now that was fun.
Scraping and hauling and fixing and driving and on and on and on...The beevos are lookin' good guys.

I hope you guys caught the lighter side of the snow and weather that just hit your area, it was hard to tell by the swirling weather model I saw. Hi Cole and Brian, you never seam to amaze me by the amount of jobs you find to do on the farms. I know it's not staged for the camera, just doing what's necessary to make life easier as a farmer in Sth Dakota, USA. Its been another interesting year starting with a drought in summer and lots of rain in December. The cows, calf's and bulls are all looking good and they should fetch a handsome prices at the sales barn in 2024. I was thinking Brian has been working most of his life on the farm and has put Cole through his apprenticeship, so he should take more holidays and treat his wife to some time away from the farm. Cole and his wife have proved quiet capable of running the farm and looking after all the cattle for a couple of weeks when things are quiet. To Cole, thanks for all the interesting videos in 2023 especially with some great camera angles on the machinery, keep it up. I would like to say to Brian and Cole with your families, a very Happy and Joyous New year for 2024. Chris from Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺.

I was thinking about your spring in the feed lot. I was wondering if you you could dig it out and use a large concrete pipe with a lid to contain it. You could add a throw hole attachment and either let it drain under its own pressure or hook a small pipe to the hose and pump it wherever you want to a water trough. Hope it works out for you

I guess in farming the daily plan of action is to tackle what's in front of you, including a flat tire. I never, ever see either of you get frustrated at a sudden break or engine failure or something generally going sideways. You just keep moving forward with knowing there's plenty of light in the day and headlights on all the vehicles once the sun goes down. It's a good life, or so it seems from where I sit. PS: I can't be Brian's boss or anything else while the house is being remodeled. Maybe next year. :) In the meantime, I'll pray you and yours have a fruitful 2024!

When I was a kid helping on our farm, we never had those “fancy” cabs. I’m so impressed how much room there is in a JD cab. Happy New Year to all, keep up the good work!
We raised hogs, and lots of them... everything on concrete, farrowing barns, hot nursery's and finishing barns... So for all you city folk, its 24/7/365... there is never a day off... minimum of two hrs/day feeding on the weekends in off time if you're lucky... Great channel guys,,, your dad is a hoot!!! I'm probably just a hand full of years older, love his music taste!!!! Happy Holidays!!!
