Great video guys, you crack me up with simple things that I hope other people understand. Being busy isn't bitchin about it, it's just how things should be. Some of those rains were just timely enough, glad to see the harvest pick up to average in some areas. Ragdoll was going thru my head as soon as Brian said it during that call. Glad you missed that kick to the knee Cole!

I went to school in Ohio in farming country. It was a common thing to see trucks of all sizes in the parking lot. Most of them with cattle racks on them and a gun rack in the back window with a gun on it. This was when kids were taught guns were for hunting and taught the safety of owning one. I grew up before everyone had trailers to haul cattle in. There were pickup trucks up to coal trucks.

I like a father & son farming operation. It is a different level of cooperation & support. I watch another channel in Alabama called Triple RRR. They do much the same as Sonne Farms but farm each side of the Alabama River & yes droughts hurt here as much as in South Dakota.
Take care of the knees. As they say about eyes, you only have two & one will only do half.

We were deer hunting in an area where the rancher had weaned the calves from their mothers. It is an unsettling time. We could tell by the number of cows mooing for their young ones from across the river. We sat listening to the cows for a few hours. . . . and the tune of the day is, . . . "The times are a changing." 😊

Cole, your drone shots could win an Oscar for editing, & great photography.
What is the name of the song you had playing in the background ??? I really love the song whether your bailing hay or harvesting corn. I am sure if it has words they are not: All day all night Maryanne.: " . But those words seem to fit the tone of that song. You & your neighbors are busy with their harvest, but are still willing to give others when they need it. They are a testament to when you talk about the organization where farmers help other farmers who have health issues, suffer a fire & need hay to replace what they lost, or have machine issues. All the Sonne men are good people. That is why you have such a large number of faithful viewers. Bless you all and your wives, for understanding why you work so hard for your farms; but are willing to help others who are in need.

I happily sit through the drone shots now that you've changed to that bucolic music!---I saw on the news tonight that ND (north of Dickinson) has icy/snowy roads, speeds down to 40-45mph, early closures of the schools. Here's hoping you get your harvest in & the cows moved w/o too much fanfare.

Your little runs with the pellets remind me of long ago days when we had to feed sows protein pellets. My brother and I took turns. One would try and fake out the sows by making noise down the fence line while the other would jump the fence in the other corner and string out the pellets and jump the fence on the other side of the pen. Lets say we had the sows on a high protein/low carb diet to keep them from getting to large/bulky for the farrowing crates. Lets say the 5 gallon paint pail had multiple dents/creases. Worst case we would sacrifice the pail and drop it to get over the fence. Lets say the pail really got batted around. The sows had a couple hundred pounds on us so speed was our only option.

Yes! I salute all farmers working relentlessly and hard like you here on Sonne farms in SD. I am not a farmer but it is I can feel in my blood as I enjoy every bit of watching. I am watching from South Africa. Do you know that our farmers in SA are targeted by what only can be described as terrorists sponsored and supported by the dysfunctional and criminally infested ANC government. Under their rule over the last 25 years 500 000 citizens had been murdered .... the rate being around 80 a day as published in the media as it comes from the even more useless Police Services. Out of that the highest % rate happens to be farmers - babies, toddlers, adult, old, young, female, male, cripple or blind... brutally and cold bloodedly. With the governing ANC smirking and grimacing about it all doing sweet fanny blue all about it. Now the farmers'' land and water rights are in racially driven laws being taken away from them. I so wish our farmers could have the freedom and liberty, with the protection and safety, you are experiencing there in the USA. Keep up the good work and may there be many years of fortitude and bliss still coming.
