I just recently also bought a lightweight backpack made for women. After many years of having twice the weight of a backpack made for men, it was a wonderful experience to actually notice a difference in the shoulder straps made for the female body!
I appreciate the specifics you pointed out with the women's version; frame vs frame less in particular. Never realized that the frame allows for more adjustment of weight

I have a Gregory day pack that is now old enough to not only vote, but to also drink! I have taken it on many travels. One time back in 2017 I got soaked in a tropical rainstorm, and everyone with me put their phones in my Gregory pack. Several others who were not with us in the group had malfunctioning phones after that unexpected downpour, but not us. The pack was still water proof after more than 15 years. I’m looking for a slightly bigger pack because we are hiking rim to rim at the Grand Canyon later this year. Definitely considering getting a Gregory pack, and maybe the one in this video. They make quality packs made to last.
Love the backpack it is similar as mine and I really like it as well enough compartments for me too , mine also has a big bottom compartment , Thank's for the review of this backpack Wendy. London Ontario Canada .

well one does not have to hike long distance to be enjoyable long as we get out and do it , i feel it is good for the body and sole. . be safe until the next video
I had a Gregory pack thirty years ago and it weighed more than eight pounds. Everybody is different but I have used Ospry packs for the past twenty five years, I had a pack fall apart on the PCT and it was my fault I overloaded the pack and I did not plan for a bear canister but I walked in to an outfitter and they upgraded me and never charged me a cent so I have been a customer since.
Nice review! Thank you for taking the time. I admire how agile you are - it doesn't look like you suffer from any inflammation/arthritis or aches and pains. At 58, my knees hurt and my ankles are weak. I love to hike and have found hiking with a variety of friends allows me different experiences. I definitely need to get in better shape so I can do it longer in life - hopefully right up until the end. Do you ever hike with groups of women?
Hi Shannon- so far so good with the joints but I do find I tire more easily for sure. My trips are more calculated now. I do hike with 2 different groups , one mixed and one all women. Both are great and keep me going . Both are day hiking so if I want to do an overnight I either find a friend or go alone. My partner isn't into the tent scene any more. However, if careful I can make it work. thanks for asking.
I try not to carry more than 25 lbs max. I prefer about 22. I keep my gear pretty basic- bedding, tent, safety equipment. 1 change of clothes , food. Maybe I should do a gear list when I go next time. Thanks for the idea!
