Had a static leader that that basically was telling us "yeah were going to do ultimate's after we cleared the tier" Only to tell use 2 days before the new ultimate drops that they don't want to run a ultimate static. I was so pissed that they waited 2 days before it dropped instead of giving us more time to find our own statics for the new ultimate. Last I heard they were getting turn down for ultimate statics.
I was a raid/static leader for about a year and some change. I did all of Asphedelos and Abyssos up to P8S P2. I had to deal with 1 ghoster, 2 always tired/sleepy healers. I always did my best to communicate, help out,be fair and considerate. It got to the point where the static wasn't performing to my expectations anymore. I was actually very lenient toward my group of how they were pretty slow learners. In the end, I decided to disband the group as I can tell that they were getting burnt out and my expectations had changed throughout the raid tier. Hell, I was getting burnt out too, but I really wanted to clear the tier so I did 3 or 4 days of PF for P8S and managed to clear it. Not sure if that means anything, but God damn.
I think cold coffee was on the money. Static Leaders that care more about prog than the members should not be static leaders and should just use pf. I also don't get how people expect everyone to be on the same prog speed as them outside of pf. Realistically you'll almost never find 7 other people that prog at the same rate as you. There will always be the slowest one of the group no matter how long you look so you might as well cope.
happened to me once in bahamut around 2.0 time, then i never do prog. i know these drama would never end. its useless for to power tripping me, i just ask them gfthemselves and left.
The thing with raid is.. weird and unfortunate. It’s a game but if your don’t take it serious enough you are unable to clear the content, especially in ultimate. To be consistent is to put in effort, so much so that it became a voluntary job in managing the group or study for a raid. At the end of the day, it really depend on your passion for raid. It’s not something that can be taken too seriously or too lightly because there are 7 other people who are doing the content with you and there are responsibility to be held.
I had a female raid leader in GW2, who had the same issues you described here: team members didnt take her seriously and wouldnt take orders from her. All you can do then is kick them and only take people with you, who can put aside their biases... Which she did, of course :) No bs'ing with her :D
uhh what u mention here (16:18) made me think that I have a really nice raid group :3 since I'm the one who make the calls when we doing some prog or reclears so they are forced to listen to me(???) ^w^
Raid leader was not friends with the OP. And the OP was good, but not GOOD ENOUGH, and the leader had no patience. It's okay to not have patience, just be a leader and lead and communicate with your team.
I'm female but my chara is male I run a very small FC, and our discord became a combined FC chat with fellow friends from other fcs.We got desperate for new members because we all have lives outside of the game and started recruiting on social media, snagged a couple of people but unfortunately one of them was an absolute neckbeard/incel type person. Wouldn't listen to me, harassed the other women in the group to the point people wanted to leave. My second in command at the time sided with him for whatever reason and I ended up having to boot him. It stung so hard, but now I just play with who I know or run solo because it's just not worth the drama. Like I said many of the people in our discord are close so close that we schedule travel plans to meet up and hang out. It's shitty how one single person can ruin a basket full of apples.
i feel like maybe he thought op was part of the problem as well but didnt wanna say so and hurt their feelings. otherwise why wasnt OP included with the new group? like the guy took others from that group with him to make the new one..but didnt take op
I think OP is an unreliable narrator here. There are all sorts of reasons why he may not have been invited into the new static. The raid leader may have had other friends he wanted to include or he may just not have liked OP for personal reasons. Which is totally fine...you are not obligated to raid with someone after a group disbands. OP quite literally could have just been an obnoxious person that annoyed the other members of the raid. Regarding how he could have been more upfront...sure but the group disbanded. And all parties agree that a large part of the reason was the MCH and multiple people agreed to disband. At that point, no, they didn't need to include you. They don't need to give a reason for it either. They didn't kick OP from the group they just decided to start over with a new group and OP wasn't a part of it. As for raiding in pf on off hours...it's not a requirement in any static but absolutely if you are struggling on a mechanic that's what you do. You have an obligation to catch up to other members of your group by putting extra time in. Maybe not pf specifically but doing something like watching POVs, studying mechanics, using the simulator, or practicing your rotation on a mannequin if its a new job for you. If OP struggled on a mechanic and didn't seem to care, even if it was only one situation, the raid leader may have decided that they would be annoying to group with. Most statics would clear much faster if members took accountability for when they fall behind.
to add to this there are woman who don't listen to men. so, it shouldn't be a sex thing but rather purely an ego thing. so, sex has nothing to do with it. it's people being people. that's just my two cents anyways.
When was this? This was just After TOP came out and mechanics where fresh. I’m not saying clearing with strats isn’t an accomplishment, but it’s infinitely easier than doing an ultimate blind.
16:00 boy...women really dont understand that we don't listen, not because theyre women, but because they legit never have anything of worth to say or add..you being a woman is just happenstance and it just so happens that most women dont have anything of worth to listen to when it applies to high end content. A harsh truth to accept, I know, but one that I think is important for you to accept for personal growth
Seen this happen quite a lot in savage too, one player is clearly the issue but doesn't get dealt with and ends up disbanding the entire group.
Got one-guyed

everyone talks about how p3s killed statics but honestly, p8 has less finish rate overall. Its a tough fight if people aren't trying equally...
Drama is one of the reasons I don't raid. The other is bad ping.
My TEA party is pretty unique that we have a 50/50 gender split. No one really talks over each other and we're pretty chill.
I like how the raiding schedule is like almost a full time student like 15 hours total. Raiding seems intense lol
tbh it don't sound like fun anymore
It's really not like this at all. People take it way too far for no reason. It's partially as bit of elitism too.
Here in Australia, a full-time student hours is equivalne to a full time job i.e. 38 hours a week including classes and study time
I just read this as
Tournament of Power Betrayal
Why i pug. I gain more experience progging more than statics if im being honest. Cleared the latest with a bunch of random committed people.

*"After hearing the 5 recommended qualities at the end"*
So how much money will that job position be offering? 😅
when I got the notification for a new episode I was like Yaaaaay but then I see the title T.O.P 😂😂 I legit thought omg
#ifyouknowyouknow 😂
happened to me once in bahamut around 2.0 time, then i never do prog. i know these drama would never end.

I've been thinking about trying to prog but every time i hear these stories i just give up
it aint too bad, if you can throw your weapon at the wall and be consistent the walls will break down eventually
They have their answer with the fact they weren’t asked to join the new static
In my experience most people who "badly want to be leader" shouldn't be leader.
true!
Throwing more time at something sometimes is detrimental.
Anyone know what shoe glam the Miqo in the salon glam was wearing?

I gotta ask,how does davage raiding take that long? Most ofmy raiding has been done on Wow, and Mythics never took that long anymore.

It's so funny when there's those who say FFXIV doesn't have toxicity or it's not that bad, when it really is pretty bad.
17:45 I don't know why that was hot 😳. Please excuse my simping😅
Static lead a 🐍
Whew. I'm immediately reminded why I haven't looked for raiding this year.
OP sure knows how to whine. Like 3-5 times they had to tell you how much it sucked. Talking and talking without saying anything.
I wonder if its also ppl being afraid to kick ppl.
Does this TOP everything thing else?
girl static leader here, if males wont listen to you they don't belong in the static to begin with lol
raid leader was saying you was part of the problem and just didnt wana tell them thats why they didnt add you to the new static my opinion
i feel like maybe he thought op was part of the problem as well but didnt wanna say so and hurt their feelings. otherwise why wasnt OP included with the new group? like the guy took others from that group with him to make the new one..but didnt take op
And what does OP mean?
Original poster
Person who wrote the story kinda like in reddit it's "original poster"
Ultimate static drama? Oh, surely not, never .. 😁
there are some females that are leaders and thats awesome but i can see that some guys not listen to females anyway xD
Its always the MCH

Ive had two female raid leads in my raiding career and they were both insufferable raid leads. I vastly prefer male raid leads.

TOP was 2 weeks for me in PF. under 1 month isnt a big goal at all

Cause woman can’t be narcissistic right…
