1st red flag was a big one. If someone is ready & willing to talk mad sh*t about someone not there, you can guarantee they'll be as free and easy talking about you when you're not around as well.
I'm loving seeing the more recent drama readings where you red them in a big city!! The crowd is getting larger and larger, it's so cool to see!!! I hope I catch the stream live someday when I can join in
This is why, if you have to leave an awkward or disgusting situation, you make an excuse, like how the cat's on fire, or how you need to drive to pick up a relative or friend and how it's an emergency. It might not be true, but if they really need a reason, a justification for you leaving, at least it will placate them.
lol I've been hanging out in limsa a lot recently and the only interaction I've had was someone complimenting my starbird minion and then having some smalltalk before going on their way, I feel like people just mostly go there to afk lol
I came across this channel a few weeks ago and these stories got me laughing , I do play FFXlV and I am in a fc but most of the time I’m a lone wolf , but these stories gets me through the day at work
So trueee..... after stream I am sooo tired I cannot socialize well T-T Streaming is super exhausting... I respect full time streamers... Also it is so funny how you play PVP!! I do that a lot too! (I am PVP loser POV because I do not know how to PVP!!!) About story, I don't know, I had before people made obvious break off friendship with me or others because they do not like me/them anymore or because I could not play with them. But later they "reveal" it was something "entirely not because of me or them" so I cannot blame either OP or Vtuber in this story... very unlucky sure, but I cannot blame the Vtuber in this story. The moral of the story in my opinion: both sides have their own story and misunderstanding can turn very ugly very fast.
Sadly I don't think OP could've avoided this, based on what their friends said, it seems like it was only a matter of time before the Vtuber found something to get mad at them about! I'm glad they left and can still enjoy the game!
Link sounds like the type of person you could chill and have a drink with, lol. They knew what they were talking about. I'm at the point where I can spot potential drama from a mile away with some people I run into in MMOs and I keep them at a distance for that reason now. I'm never rude about it, but I definitely know how to navigate those situations now. I've run into it enough times already. It always sucks having to experience that kind of stuff though.
yeah its like playing dead, you make yourself as boring and forgettable as possible to people with massive red flags or they'll blow up when they notice you've peaced out haha
@@bellamango6708 bingo. It's honestly crazy because just existing, minding your own business, and enjoying what you do is enough to trigger some people who are insecure. I've dealt with a lot of BS and learned a lot of lessons from it all and it's why I just opt to keep my distance from people with identifiable red flags.
Honestly good on OP for not giving the pettiness any attention. Sending your fanboys to stalk someone is going way too far and could be considered harassment depending on how far the stalking goes. VTubers should understand the sway and influence they have over their fanbase. If they intend to misuse that influence, then they don't deserve a platform or any form of parasocial relationship.
It's a given that Vtuber in the story became a streamer because she's an attention seeker and superiority complex. Even if she knew OP left because of Claude, she would still be offended 😅
lol coming from the older videos and reading the comments there, people definitely be acting like these are characters in a book and not real people, so that end message seems quite appropriate
I always worry with how much to engage with a streamer in chat because I watch some that are quieter, and some that love questions and discussions to respond to. I worry that I'm bothering or hogging the conversation sometimes.
Op could have messaged the vtuber before leaving the call saying "hey imma check out. I'm tired of hearing this guy kiss your ass constantly. Talk to ya later friendo" or something similar. They also didn't need to leave the linkshell. That was just an overreaction on their part lol
its crazy how some people act like that in a videogame. i had a similiar story too in eso and holy shit, till then i didnt know that things like this can happen in a videogame
"She kicked me and unfriended me. Now who's overreacting?" Both. You're both overreacting. I say that as someone who occasionally quits groups a d whatnot cold turkey if I get genuinely upset, but it's usually not the right course unless someone truly wrongs you.
OP is at fault for starting this whole ordeal and not realizing leaving was going to be taken wrong. Next time, it's best to take a second and wait before doing something so brazen.
OP is lying. No one leaves a lync shell so immediately without telling the person who invited them the reason for it. OP was MAD at the Vtuber too. Period. Stop lying to yourself, OP. Don't childishly leave a voice chat and lync shell, you will get the same response from unstable vtubers.

cat on fire...noted noted thats a good one because it will leave them wondering wtf you meant by that and always will
i use cat on fire as my excuse in party finder lol
Holy crap look at that crowd!
Ugh oh boy do I ever relate to that "don't hang in Limsa if you don't want drama" comment.

"Of course your friend is going to side with you" I think we've heard enough drama stories to know that isn't always a given sadly 😓
I really like Limsa because I'm called to the Sea and I live in a desert. I'm sad it's become such a drama magnet :(

This vtuber sounds so familiar to me. But not sure. I had a streamer/vtuber story. And this sounds like who I have a story about.
"All these people there and they dont talk to each other" oh they are talking.. ;)

yay! was just binging through ur vids at work lol
Literally!

Pathra is getting more popular. Look at the size of that crowd 😂
I've been on a pvp journey. Working towards the various Frontline mounts.
I take it op doesn't know how to operate Discord, there is a mute function to VC, so it's on them for how this started.
Dang now im very curious who this vtuber is
Link was dropping dimes there

Pvp is more popular than it used to be, I just think the biggest issue with PVP is lack of rewards, specially in ranked.
Pathra defending being in limsa is so funny to me
I played wow for years. I found pvp in wow fun. Pvp in FF14 is complicated.
Of course we’d never send pathra drama to pathra. Preach’s show, on the other hand? New pathra story every week 😂😂😂
Here so early! Not even recieved the noti yet :P :D
I think i know who that serena is
"She kicked me and unfriended me. Now who's overreacting?"

Wait I thought you couldn't pvp as a party?
Maybe it was front lines? Or maybe it was before crystalline conflict was introduced? It was a 4v4(?) called The Feast
you can party up for frontline
you can queue for frontlines as a party of 4, used to be 8
frontlines and rival wings you can do up to four friends with you!!
