  • Banana Lumpia is another sweet treat that was brought to Hawaii from the Philippines. It is very simple to make this but it is probably one of my most favorite treats to eat. This treat is basically a banana rolled in brown sugar, dusted with cinnamon, and wrapped tightly in a spring roll to be fried until it is golden brown. #bananalumpia #lumpia #bananas

I lived in Hawaii for five years and fell in love with all the local food. 20 years later I found this channel. Now I can make it all!!!!! Mahalo!

A doctor from a clinic where I worked on Kauai made these every 3 or 4 months to give to the staff. I will never forget how delicious they were! I am going to try to make them this week! Mahalo nui loa.

That would go so well with some soft serve.

Back in the 80's, the Chinese restaurant in Germany would put a little honey over the Lumpia as a dessert. It was delicious. 👌🤙🏼😉

Does it have to be brown sugar or can I just use normal sugar?

You can but brown sugar caramelizes and gives it a better taste.
