I just made this. I followed every step exactly. I now have a freezer full of base gravy and Latifs puree.
If I had ordered this from a takeaway or restaurant I would be recommending the place to everyone... And I made it myself! Thank you Sir.
Just cooked it for myself and my family. Absolutely awesome mate, thank you very much for sharing your recipes, we're very grateful 👍
Just wow. My favourite. Marry me. I'm only 70. Lol.
My favourite, this is what I order from our local Bangladesh curry house. Thanks for sharing. I’ll try this one this week.
I love it when chefs share ideas and recipes. Some recipes are secret though 😂🤣👍
Looks amazing!! Can’t wait to have a go cooking it
Hi there, made this at the weekend, outstanding!! Thanks for the recipe
Talented chef, very informative, thanks
Just cooked this meal for today's dinner, I like to cook it the night before and let all the flavours marinade.
I've been making curries and Indian food for many years and my results have been acceptable but you've taken me to a whole new level. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
That'd be a 26 cm pan. 26 inch pan would feed quite a few people. 👍
Yeah, 26" would cover the whole stove. More like 10"
As a chef myself, (English Gastro) You have inspired me to get into Indian Cuisine. Just got back from the shops after buying all the ingredients you use in most videos. Cheers! Keep these coming. Also, you are a master at "Winging it" ;)
Looks great. I'm going to make this next week. Thank you.
That looks UNREAL!
Wow!! Must say this is the best curry I’ve cooked, and I’ve cooked a fair few. Outstanding
Awesome as usual..will try this one too .Thanks latif x
An excellent chef and teacher. Lots of love. Thanks
Going to try this it looks delicious.
Looks delicious mate, I'm going to have a go right now. Thank you.
What a great guy and talented chef,i am going to book a table without a doubt soon, the food looks amazing, thanks for sharing your wonderful knowledge and recipes.
Thank you, I searched for a pathia recipe and you appear like god thriving in his kitchen showing us how its done. Amen to you sir❤️🙏🏻
You are doing an amazing job, I give my total respect. Cannot be easy alongside service....Colin from Reading
I have many Indian cookbooks and a good supply of the spices. I'm always making dishes as Indian food is my favorite. The books are wonderful but not as good as watching your channel. You have taught me so much and my food is getting much better; it's starting to become more of a natural process for me!
Thanks for sharing another great recipe; I’ll be cooking it tonight 👍👍
Did this recipe today from the start followed it exactly. Did the base source and the pre cooked chicken it was fantastic. This is my daughters favourite curry and said it was one of the best she as ever had and believe me she as eaten many. Thanks for sharing the tricks the mango chutney 👍 .
Just found your channel and I think I'm going to watch every single video cos this looks so nice
loved it mate
Looks great thanks for the video
Nice one as always chef. Appreciated!
Thanks for making me so hungry! Looks delicious 😋
Made this curry twice now, the first time all the family liked it, so I made it again a month later and it was really nice again. I will definitely do this recipe again
Mate this is a sensational dish and expertly presented. Thank you 🙏
I’ve been making this dish a lot with plain chicken and absolutely love it! Instead of a normal tomato, throw in a few fresh chopped cherry tomatoes for the sweetnesses. I also like to cut back on the chilli powder and chuck one or two green chillis in, for a better flavour 👍🏻
Pathia is my fav curry and this is right up there with the best, I’ve had!
After all this vivid stuff has gone we’re coming up to your restaurant, we only live right by J13 of M6 so just a 30min journey!!! Loving your vids!!
This man has skills, I've ate chicken pathia from nearly every take away and restuarant in my city for the last 13 years, I have always ate the same dish and I've just cooked my own following this and already its tasting 100% I added some potatoes and it's simmering away ready for tonight👌👌👌 2:18
I’ve just ordered a takeaway and now watching this to get my appetite up.. tragic thing is my takeaway will be nowhere as good as this guy’s creations
Delicious!
Love the way you move food in a pan
Looking delicious... Really awesome brother
one of my favorite dishes ,
Again another top recipe thanks Latif Your camera man is very lucky indeed to sample all these recipes !
Cleanest Kitchen I have seen. Love these videos.
Fantastic my friend. Keep them coming. Did your simple chicken curry last night wow superb. Looking forward to visiting your restaurant.
Bloody lovely, many thanks X
This is an amazing dish. Love it. Reminds me of home 🇦🇺
Great stuff my man👍
My favourite meal. The taste is out standing.
just made this unbelievable, great better thank my local takeaway thank you
I was only in your restaurant on Sunday evening, we moved away in February but we used to visit all the time and we made the journey as it is our favourite place to eat and was not disappointed. The food is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. I had the south Indian lamb and my mrs had the mango chicken. My kids also loved the food. This guy and his team can cook amazing food. And my partner would love to see a recipe for the mango chicken in the near future.
What's his shop called and where is it!
It's called latifs in alsager

just stumbled across your channel and it is the best BIR recipe one I have found by miles. Others are good like MistyRicardo but you explain these so much better! Shame your restaurant is far from where I live as I'd love to visit. If ever in the area i I will try to go though!
Hi chef just come across your channel , and i must say how impressed with your videos . As a big lover of BIR dishes i all so like the way you show viewers on the real home style way of cooking Bangladeshi currys . Your presentation of the videos are top notch the love of cooking and the regard for your viewers and customers a like is out standing . I am looking forward to more videos and will be a follower of your channel from now on . Thanks so much for your time and effort you put into your videos . Ivan :-)
Yummmm !!
Looks great Latif
cheers boss, thanks for the secrets.
Thank you for sharing.
@latif thanks for the tips had a dinner for 17 people used your recipe and it was a super hit. Thx so much
Wow 17 people lol. I’m quite a novice so how did you go about altering the ingredients accordingly for more people? Obviously with cakes and things you can just double certain ingredients accordingly but when it comes to cooking with spices and some being as over powering than others... do you have a general rule of thumb to increase quantities but keeping all the flavours balanced and not overpowering?
My favourite ❤️👍
love the pathia recipie looking for a recipie for chicken pakora
Food always looks amazing, both BIR and your authentic dishes, will be doing your easy lamb bhuna but will be using neck fillets instead of leg, sure to turn out amazing what with that array of spices that will infuse into the finished dish.would love to see a video on the making and cooking of keema naans using a tawa to finish for us peeps at home.many thanks
Salam Chef Latif, Very nice recipe thank you for upload.

Bro I’m a young chef also and u remind me so much of me hahahahaha
That looks the nuts pal 😎
That looks great have you ever heard of a starter called chicken jhuri our local called the rupali made it and it closed a few years ago and try as I might I can’t find it anywhere
Love the channel keep up the great videos
Outstanding video once again latif you smashed it looks stunning , just one question , what if I never had a base gravy to use ?
Thx for including the recipe at the start, it really helps!! Jeeez, I wish I lived a little (tiny) bit nearer to your place..I'd be a regular.... As it is, a relative of ours (who likes curries), lives in Shavington...I've pointed him in your direction. Put your tin hat on....he's a good 'un...but LOUD! 😏😉🙄
I'm a local and I have been a lot of times there is not a curry house in Staffordshire like this so I make the trip to latifs in Cheshire for this special meal. Take your own beer is great so you can spend more on this amazing food.
One of my absolute Favs. Thanks for the tips. Looks delicious. Any chance of a Assari Balti videos please?
Ben Cornish No such thing as a “balti”.
Vary nice
Fantastic chef couldn’t fault only downfall he’s from bishnath 😅 keep up the good work and keep the vids coming #NobiganjMassive🤗
Great video. Show us please how to make chicken dhansak next please
Just cooked this along with the base gravy. I surprised myself, it tastes amazing! Maybe not so much lemon juice next time. Now i have a freezer full of base gravy... What to try next? 😜
Looks beautiful 👌... What brand of mustard oil do you use?
hi bro.i m u r biggest fan from Taiwan. can u teach us how to make naan dough n also how to make in tandoor
Lots of respect to you and your business br. I didn’t notice any alcohol being served in your bar area good to see sticking to your core Islamic values of no alcohol wishing you the best MashAllah. !!! I’d love to try your food if ever I’m passing by in the area InshAllah
Nobody is asking him to drink alcohol.
His customers may wish to.
Don't force your beliefs on other people.
Hi, how much would this do? And would I have to double on the ingredients for 5 people? Looks very nice
Latif. If you are cooking for 4, do you double all the ingredients or just add more base gravy and tomato puree. We absolutely adore your recipes. When we move closer, we are coming to your restaurant. 👍👏👏
Looks great! Say I wanted to make this tonight but won't have time to make a base gravy, do you still think it is worth making?
Latif can you do a Chicken Achari ? Please.
Any chance of some paneer recipes?
Can you please show us how to make the gravy at home please. A user friendly one we can make at home
Hey Latif I love your videos and was wondering if i can contact you about advice on opening a restaurant thanks.
Plz do a butter masala 🤗
HI Quick question can the buna onion be frozen Great recipe
I absolutely love your videos I’ve used them numerous times but how much onion do use in patia sauce I know that is a silly question but phrrrrr what can I say 🥴
I would love to know how a lamb karahi is made. Or even lamb rezala
The curry looked delicious, I look forward to giving it a try, however, I'll cook mine in a 26cm pan not a 26 inch one. Great chef ....rubbish measurer!...but you made me smile.
Can I use the gravy you made for the butter chicken in this recipe?
Great recipe! I think the tumeric, garam masala, and coriander are 1/2, 1/3, and 1 TABLEspoon though.
Latif bhai can you make chicken tikka jalfrezi please
Hi could you do a chipea or lental dalh authentic
Please can you cook Mater panir
Do you prepare that mustard oil in any way or is it just straight from the bottle?
Sick video again bro, let’s get a vegan one in there ;)
Take one vegan and chop into 1" cubes. Marinade overnight...
I would say just use veg. oil and sub in mushrooms, eggplant, potatoes for the meat.
What is the restaurant address need to visit from cardiff and enjoy your food fella 👌👍
