Haven't been out of hospital long needed something to cheer me up after having a little battle with covid and thankfully pulling through so decided to make the Pathia absolutely brilliant thankyou so much for sharing your recipe ***** yes 5 stars loved it Regards Brian
Hi thank you for your comment, I think life is too short to be to serious 😀 I try my best to give everyone the best possible recipes and simple ways of cooking these delicious dishes 😋
@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 Just finished cooking it. Is truly amazing. Thank you again , take are of you . Really trust you recepies. Tried different ones and to be honest don't compare to your recepies. Well done again , I highly recommend this UA-cam channel.
@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 I only got around to cooking this tonight and it was fabulous. I needed to use a lot less water than you added but you get a feel for it, you can always add a dash more of anything, much harder to take it away. This dish instantly ranked right up there, I love my hot, sweet and sour curries, like a dhansak but without the lentils. 10/10
Looking forward to trying this , had the chicken pathia last night at blue naan in Felixstowe, was amazing , first time back in 15 years , will let you know how I get on when I get back to New Zealand
Hi yes most of the time I use kashmir red chilli powder as it gives the curry a really nice colour, but you definitely need the normal red chilli powder to give the heat 😋
Looks like a pathia to me n looks great. But I'd use base gravy personally. Have you ever tried using tamarind with this dish instead of lemon juice...so sugar n tamarind? Thats the way my local restaurant does it and I also use it in my pathia...maybe ill try it with lemon juice next time to test the difference in taste (if any) great vid.cheers from Nottinghamshire 👍👍
Lovely curry and great video.Always watch your uploads.Im still using your pilau rice recipe after all this time.Just mastered the rice in my Ninja foodi 15 in 1,which cuts out a lot of the mess and produces the same amazing aroma's.Also i have been substituting the tomato puree, which is watered down with a passata and seems to work just as well.Would love your secret restaurant mixed powder recipe, but i assume that's like giving away a kidney. Thanks again.
My favourite bengali BIR curry, not a lot of people know about this hidden gem and for the last couple years ive been banging on and on about it. Must recommend a pathia with lamb though 100000% elevates the flavour to another level! Great recipe, my mrs will be doing this tomorrow :)
You're curries are usually amazing but that wasn't a patia it was just a regular chicken curry! No mint, no coconut just a chicken curry. On the bone chicken is a no no to the majority of curry eaters!
@@lem8829 I’m with you bro , I have never heard of a patia having coconut or mint. I made this tonight and it was amazing much better than my local curry house. And who said on the bone chicken is a no no for curry lovers? Seriously
looks absolutely amazing , my favourite curry, did it not have base gravy

That looks delicious I am going to try that next time I go to my local restaurant is it a bit like a dhanskak without lentels the taste ?
Hi yes it is very similar without the onions aswel. 👍

Don’t think I’ve ever had this, looks tasty 👌. Do you always use Kashmiri chilli powder as well as regular chilli powder in your curry’s?

Wow! Looks delicious! This chicken pathia recipe was beautifully prepared and presented. Fantastic work! :)
Thanks bro 🙏
This is the best thing I’ve ever cooked .. I cooked a pan boiled rice and your pilau rice so had best of both with it.. wow thankyou ... 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you I'm really glad you enjoyed it 😊
You didn't add base gravy to this one? Looks delicious though.
I had that on Saturday. Yummy.
It is truly a delightful dish 😋
Making this for lunch hopefully looks as nice as yours 😄

Made this this evening and my partner loved it, says it tasted the same as our local takeaway 👌🏻 thanks for sharing
That's great but don't tell your local takeaway that 🙂 but really glad you enjoyed it. 👍
@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 🤐 they’ll definitely be getting less orders from us 😂

@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 a cracking dish cooked by me if I say so myself 👍

Good

Can you use Jaggery instead of sugar?
Different kind of sweetness but will work
What is Bir style?
Hi its basically how Indian restaurants cook them in the UK. ( British Indian restaurant style)
@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 Thank you
Please do more traditional rather than BIR they really are a pain in arse

I have never seen a pathia that has mint and coconut well certainly not were we are. Pathia is more like a bhuna dish which is sweet sour and hot.
Mint & coconut in a pathia....never seen that recipe. You must share your knowledge with everyone so they can point out the error of your ways
