That intro music… I don’t think souls games are for me, but I love watching others explore them, and the music in this game in particular is amazing.

This video is so well done and narrated! It cleared up and linked a lot of stuff that I missed on my first playthrough like the origin of scarlet rot and why renna is so obsessed with rebirth. I do wonder if Ranni knows about (or even cares) about the effects her taking her life had
also looking forward to the future videos on the other tarnished 🙏 Especially the dung eater now that you've made me realise the link between him and the omens, maybe his goals have actual meaning other than haha get poop seeded

I also enjoy pointing out that General Radahnn was so powerful that he pretty much h was a the epicenter of a nuke going off and only his mind was lost.
Now just imagine Leonard never lost his mind and has loyally been serving him.

He is also missing feet. He has them in the cinematic fight against Malenia, but just purple glowing gravity magic stumps when we fight him.
Drew, the biggest problem I've seen with the Elden Ring lore scene is that it's been a lot of little channels doing it, with only a few like the Lorehunter, Ziostorm, Ratototskr, and SmoughTown being really consistent and making a lot of content. Of those, Lorehunter fell off pretty early, and Ratototskr just made a video saying he's falling off. It's great to see a heavy hitter stepping up to the plate. I think SmoughTown is your biggest competition. Love to see a collab between you two.
Edit: Don't know how I could have forgotten Vaati.
Drew mastered Elder Scrolls lore, which is the most in-depth lore in gaming history. He will do incredible with FromSoftware lore!

The video is mostly alright. A few minor mistakes here and there but it's entirely forgivable for lore like this where it's a fractured puzzle we need to assemble ourselves, creating pieces to fit the puzzle together.

A little issue though:
At the begging of the video you show and talk about the flame of the giants, the flame of ruin, like it’s the frenzied flame. The frenzied one is the yellow one related with the three fingers, Shabriri, Vike and that stuff. Flame of ruin is what you talk about in the video
Interesting point, cheers for the input! It may just be my interpretation that evolves over time, but I see the Frenzied Flame as a force of chaos that transcends the three fingers etc. In a way the Flame of Ruin, simply by being able to burn the Erdtree, is itself a force of chaos and part of the Frenzied Flame's 'will'?
@@DrewmoraYT Makes sense as if the frenzy path is chosen you can still burn the roots yourself rather than the maiden doing so, and she definitely has some connection to frenzy what with the frenzy mark on her. Makes sense that they are primordialy the same "flame" just used in two different ways. Like chaos has its "fingers" in several different pies at once haha.

Hearing Drew talk about Elden Ring lore is absolutely surreal.
I wish the game made more of the Tarnished named at the end. Goldmask, Fia, Dung Eater, Gideon Ofnir... the intro makes it seem like they are important characters, but in the end only Ofnir has any significant part to play. The others are optional and can even be missed. Why name them if they really don't matter? It makes me wonder if there were plans for them that were cut.

I havent watched any Elder Ring content. Even the trails or gameplay because I would like to experience it first hand whenever I play it. I don't had a pc or console to play it so Ive just been neglecting all content I games I want to play. But in support of the Drewmaister I will watch this for the algorithm

I reckon there's just enough factions and decisions in an Elden Ring playthrough for you to make roleplaying Elden Ring build videos 🤔 Don't know if that's something you'd consider, but it's definitely a niche I haven't seen elsewhere.
Either way, this video feels so... You, if that makes sense! The only thing I would say is that it's not clear whether Marika might have orchestrated, somehow, the Night of the Black Knives. But nothing's ever set in stone in these games haha. Can't wait to see what's next!

Additionally there’s no way that the greater will would have anything to do with the night of the black knives, as Ranni is directly opposing the greater will with her plan, intending to remove its influence over the world entirely.
