- It's been a while since the last update video so here's a quick recap of what we've been working on last month.
- Lots of motion capture. Added additional boxing & locomotion animation sets.
- Focused movement is the default movement mode. Strikes, directional dodging and head movement is more responsive in this state. Foot placement is more granular for precise distance management.
- Loose movement (WIP) increases the mobility at the cost of responsiveness. Foot placement is less granular but more explosive, allowing the player to cover greater distances quickly.
- Directional dashing (WIP) allows the player to exploit angles.
- Weave mechanic tweaks. Slipping and weaving now behave congruently on the same joystick, full spectrum weaving (hold) can be performed straight off of a slip (flick) and vice versa.
- Updated active ragdoll.
- Predictable hit reactions
- Shader tweaks
- Performance optimizations
- Fixed T-rex arms

The fact you reupload to include 1 vs 1 combat is a testament to the confidence you have in your game, and your abilities as Dev.. Despite it being a WIP.

@@OverhandInteractive Not at all. You guys TAKE your time. What you are doing is amazing work and nobody will want to rush you through it. When you are ready I am more than willing to help test the game closed and both open later on down the road. Amazing movement, Amazing punches, Great animations & you can really feel the pop in the shots and the movement looks absolutely perfect.

Look at how well the combos flow together, like in undisputed u can see where one animation ends and the other starts, this just looks 10x more natural
nice footwork, really natural looking the way he moves in and out of the pocket
I like the footwork too
I love the direction this is going, one thing i,d like to suggest down the line is for those power kicks n knees to really have some devastating effect, really emphasize the pain of someone enduring a harsh blow to the kidney allowing us to see our opponent grimace and bend acknowledging the pain
Now this is a combats sports game I would play thank you for your efforts

Now this what you call free flow combat where the player has full control of the fighter from the punches to the head movement and positioning. Fast, quick and responsive, great work guys can’t wait to play

de verdad este juego lo veo como un avance en los juegos de pelea lo mezcla todo y con gran estilo , el active ragdoll es algo que si o si tiene que estar ya que hace que los impactos se sientan naturales , como colisiona en la guardia en el cuerpo etc , por cierto el detalle de las ondas en el cuerpo se siente muy bien espero que este proyecto salga a la luz y tengas mucho existo porque te lo mereces !!
love all the way the striking looks and the way the characters react to the strikes so u can tell they landed makes it seem like counter striking will actually be effective cant wait to get my hands on this game!!!! would love to play the alpha adding in that sweep at the end just to teas us was great too lol
Looks pretty good. I'm sure with more updates the striking and movement will begin to look even more clean. But I will note that the upper legs (as I'm sure you know) are somewhat missing at the front of the thighs. Still, as it is Pre-Alpha, I'm sure this will be fixed by the next update you wish to show or the one after. Don't feel the need to rush it. Too many great ideas get ruined because the DEVs allow people to rush them. I cannot wait to see what you bring to the table next.

This looks amazing, guys. already the best kickboxing I've ever seen in a martial art game, especially in every 1v1 fighter I've ever seen. Please let us help with development somehow, either through playtesting or donations

From what im seeing so far, you guys get it. I only have 2 wishes. 1. Ditch kickboxing, and give us real muay thai. Give us elbows at the very least if you dont want to go too deep on clinching. Think of all the great muay thai fighters you guys can sign? For cheap too. I would love to play as Saenchai or Buakaw. Second, use EA UFC damage system. If there is anything they do well, its the damage system. Its satisfying. The risks vs reward system is very well done. Please dont go the boxing undisputed route. I would fall asleep while playing that game. A good fighting game should have you on the edge of your seat while playing.

Skinning around the shoulder/upper arm could use more work, but the striking looks really natural, unironically better than the newer UFC games, same with the footwork. Small movement in UFC5 their legs just shimmy around like a ps2 game, it's shocking that they couldn't do proper footwork in the 2020's with their budget. Also UFC5 seems to lock you into striking animations, I can tell how much smoother and fluid this is just by watching.

Good stuff fellas. One thing I've noticed no boxing game ever gets rights is the inside game. Would it be possible to make it so there is an automatic sort of tangling up system when fighters get close and start spamming - it starts to tie them up into an inside tangle which can be clinched and broken or fought out from? Inside style fighters like Caesar Chavez etc never get the credit because every boxing game tries to make you fight like Floyd Mayweather just to win. Also have strategies for each fighter based on their style - so you can be a very powerful striker, but come into a fight with a pressure high punching output game plan if your fighter is good at that strategy. As many variables as possible for each individual fighter and the for each fight - can it will never get repetitive or boring like all the EA sports games. Look at the foot ball manager series of games going back to 2007/8 and look at how they personalise each player...
Anyway, bloody great start to what looks like will be a fantastic game.

If you need any help with audio I'll help you out, I've noticed that there's a "ooo" on the clean punch sound. I can cut that out for you as well refine other audio if you send the WAVs.

I hope this Muay thai game comes to PS5 as well online multiplayer career mode even if it didn't had a career mode but still have online multiplayer aspect of it I still play this game like I said before we desperately need new kickboxing video game on home consoles again

It would be coo if you guys implemented different clothing like Taekwondo, karate, Muay Thai, and even boxing gear to resemble the early days of K1 the golden era!!!! like thai arm bands, those early day kickboxing pants and foot pads or even Pancreas pants, but nothing goofy like what ufc does please 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😭😭😭I can’t stand fighting another rainbow teddy bear head in a reflector vest😭😭
