Once again i have to comment. The guitar world truly lost a Guitar innovater and guitar God..that solo on the first night during the torture never stops stuns me till i eventually have to smile. His Tone and technique is so original ,so tough it actually takes my breath away..He can play for 30min and leave you annihilated were as others can sound tedious..Buckethead is the only guy who interests me today but Frank will live forever..i truly miss his genious.DM
Chills from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. Very musician do that to me. And get me emotional. I learned alot from frank, he has helped emotionally an intellectualy..... balance me out, putme on the right plain of existence.😮 A better for the music, fromFZ

Woah un français quelle bonne surprise: je suis tombé dans la méme baignoire que toi mais dans l'eau froide trois ans après(né en 62). sharing is caring and you my friend only care to share the VERY BEST!! and thats why you share the late great frank zappas music !! no imaginary guitar notes for us !! many many thanks FZ4EVR!!!!!!!!!!
Even Prince who used to challenge other famous Musicians to Jam with his Band & Humiliate them, once Frank went to meet him personally in a Warner Event the guy had a shock & escaped.
Lo ascolto da quasi 50 anni . la sua folle perfezione l 'ho vista 2 volte in concerto in Italia , grazie per questo mix di assoli , possono solo raccontare la potenza di uno stile unico del nostro grande Frank !!🎸🎸
First Conehead here sticks out, along with second Conehead on the following night, but the current fave rotates through as I keep listening. Great post
Zappa is the only guitarist whose solos I can listen to for hours on end. With others I get fatigued after a few notes of overstated, needlessly distorted performances. Good thing they rarely last for more than a minute or two.
What a great compilation of many of my favorites. You are helping Frank's name be remembered along with Mozart, Beethoven, and all the timeless composers that don't rely on lyrics These lyric-less instrumental solos are all I listen to anymore. Songs with words are too distracting when one is trying to focus on attention demanding tasks - Thank you SO MUCH !
I JUST PLAYED THIS SET THROUGH MY ALTEC 604S AND MCINTOSH AMP MY NEIGHBORS ARE STILL DECIDING HOW MAD THEY ARE AT ME .....WHEN IT SINKS IN ........ ZAPPA CAN DO THAT TO THE NEW LISTENER !!!!
You have no idea how many times I have come back and listened to this. Thank you SOOO MUCH for uploading all that you do. My favorite part is show 1 Conehead - Wild Love (AKA The Squirm/Bowling on Charen) This version of Wild Love takes the goddammit cake all the way back to the UMRK.
My son got me a Halloween box set, which is good, but it just doesn't compare to being able to listen to the guitar solos one after another over and over again. This is such a wonderful idea, I am so glad you thought of it br1tag and shared with us.
Loved Zappa's instrumentals, because of hearing him I fell into many others including yrs later Stevie Ray Vaughn . Hendrix, Zappa, and Vaughn are in my top 10 picks for the best of the best. All members of Cream including Ginger Baker (drummer, I have a list of drummers too) are loved. Actually nowadays there are no guitar players or bands for that matter that will ever be as great (or give me the feelings they all did, at least I haven't heard any) as the explosion of music back in the 60'-70's and those bands that continued into the 80's and beyond. Music that can never be duplicated. I like many others could just go on and on about these incredible people. I'm still so 💔 sad that we lost Zappa so early along with others. Those days were extremely special for the music revolution. Zappa was a genius composer, I miss him so much and miss the music that would have been. ☮️🙏💜
I have to comment again because everytime i hear this set of guitar solos im stunned...your literally enthralled the whole time.Hes such a monstrous, original totally bitchin guitar master with a Tone that leaves you saying," This is what the electric guitar is suppossd to sound like! Period! The fans that know are the luckiest people on earth..the ones that dont i pray for there eyes to see..Fz..LVDM
VERSIONE TTNS 5, 17 è da uscire fuori di testa! come praticamente sempre con gli assoli su questo pezzo. Grazie per il tuo lavoro, apprezzatissimo da tutta la famiglia :)
He never has never done a bad solo. FZ is the absolute God of all guitar players it just doesn't get any better, I was born in 1975 and there's not a guitar player I've heard since I was born they can't compete with him at his level I mean nobody John McLaughlin Allan Holdsworth and Robert Fripp or pretty close. I can't go a day without listening to his solos and music, it's like a drug . Just can't get enough. And I want more and more and more and more of his bootleg stuff totally addicted. I tell you what it doesn't matter which splo they bring tears to my eyes because sheer magnitude of his greatness what he's done for the music industry and he could have done for the music industry and so many predictions of the music industry that have happened over the past 30 years that he's been spot-on with the pitfalls of the industry and what the industry can do to clean it to act up not just in music but in life in general he's got a lot of knowledge of generality in this country that needs to be addressed and functioning correctly. He was always a proponent of things working in a traditional fashion don't f*** with a good thing but then again there's so many things that you brought up in our society that he had legitimate concern over what a politician he could have been getting into that big black car.
Hey, everybody's got their own opinion. And I totally respect that and I guess Hendrix had a sound like nobody else. But left us too early and I know He couldn't read music, and if there was anybody that he would have let help him become a better musician overall, And teach him how to read music, it would have been, Frank. That's certainly what i've heard. Don't give me wrong hendrix music alone Even without the ability to read music was still off the charts good.Frank's was just a mad genius of music and to me the great composers of Of modern day music. And in my mind, Frank Steve Vai, Tony Iommi and bucket head And ace frehley Are my favorite 5! In that order. Yeah, I just feel zappa's guitar Is elite and there's no one that sounds like him. He has such incredible feel. His style and sound have had such an influence on me An impact on my life. no One gives me the same feeling I get from when li listen to Frank play guitar. I have to go back and get more and more of his guitar playing. And I'm a freakin Drummer. Hendrix never did that for me. But still had a huge influence on my life regardless. Mitch Mitchell has been a huge influenceon me for sure! But I understand the level of where jimi hendrix was an very few people ever got there. I can see why you think that he was certainly in a class, All his own and I could see why you think hes the greatest ever he is always in the discussion. I'm sure a lot of people would disagree with me. But that's okay...🤙

Dude the three CD set does not do this Justice. I've got to get the complete box set. My question is does it only come in the 24-bit O'Henry USB or does it come in the CD or vinyl version of the 77 Palladium Halloween box set. to me this is by far one of Franks best lineup and of course the early 78 lineup which had two bass players and Terry Bozzio at the very end of his gig with Frank. But Frank didn't have Adrian belew long in the band but boy was he special guitarist-singer all-around musician Frank probably could have used in for the rest of his career over Ray White or Ike Willis. Then you're adding Tommy Mars Ed mann and Peter Wolf in the veterans Frank Terry and Patrick😅. What an incredible lineup certainly my favorite. But like I said I enjoy the lineup right after this that had two bass players and then eventually Terry left and Vinny replaced him, so yeah those were three amazing lineups and that other line they had in 79 and it had Warren Tommy Ed Peter Vinny Frank and Sophia Warren I believe that was the wine if I could be wrong but I believe she was there right before Steve Vai entered the picture. I believe I've got a show from 79 Manchester that has her it seems like to me she was one of the first real Hired Gun badass female guitarist
End of Wild Love (show 1) there is about 1:30 of Läther outro guitar before Muffin Man. Where is this from as it is different to official version. Nice work nevertheless.
@ Chris - In these compilations I took some liberties to combine the solos in a pleasant way. I created Segue between the solos using fragments, cuts, snippets and offal. There are many, many more than you can believe! However, all the material used (solos, fragments, etc.) come from the official box.
