"Jin-go-lo-ba" (or "Jingo") is a song by Nigerian percussionist Babatunde Olatunji, featured on his first album Drums of Passion (1959). In Yoruba (Olatunji's native language) it means, "Do not worry."
Girl you just opened a rabbit hole 50+ yrs in the making. Carlos Santana is arguably a GOAT on the guitar. Carlos doesn’t sing, but his guitar sure as hell does. Very distinctive and instantly identifiable. Been grooving Carlos &Co. since 1970 🤘
Santana is the band’s name, some don’t understand that because he’s not usually the singer, Carlos Santana on guitar making the chills go down your spine. This is their first album 🔥 it’s Latin rock
I bought this album and also had a 4 track cassette tape of it and we just called it Great ! And classified it as Rick n Roll. Carlos was born in Tijuana MX
@@deantait8326corrección Carlos Santana nació en Autlan de Navarro Jalisco México pero su familia se mudó a Tijuana donde aprendió a tocar la guitarra y su gran maestro fué Javier Batiz .
This song was used as an anthem to Afro dance in the late 60’s and 70’s. Santana great musician and song writer. His wife Cindy plays the drums with him. One of my fav is Europa. Check out Gato Barbieri playing his version of Europa.
I just love your reactions .... I know you would love Carlos Santana and India Arie performing George Harrison's classic song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" ... mesmerizing
Santana is best done live concerts. Use clips from the Sacred Fire concert and you won't regret it, has to be among a top 10 concert all time in music history, the energy was incredible. Anything from that concert from Black Magic Woman to a personal favorite, Make Somebody Happy. It will give you a whole new appreciation of Santa, one of the great musicians of our time.
wow forgot about this one...Just a beast of a song ! They have a song called Open Invitation that has a really unique sound for them. Think you will like
Glad to see many young people are enjoying my generation's sound and the " psychedelic " album these records came in. 68 years old here, and still rocking to the sound.😄
Hi @Ashley Reacts You already spotted something on the cover - that's cool. Zoom in and look for more faces, you'll be amazed at how many more faces you find. Regardless, Santana is one of 20 bands that influenced the end 60s until today. Thanks for sharing and best wishes @all from hamburg (germany)
Aloha Ashley I am a new subscriber to your UA-cam channel and I love you playing Santana. That’s one of my favorites back in the day. I’m an old man now but back then times were very different, any love your channel first song I heard from you officially Carlos Santana, a Big musical artist even today. Aloha ke akua!!!
Saw him in concert several times,he’s our Hispanic rock champion,he’s managed to evolve with the times, please react to “everything is coming our way”.
Just checked and Santana released this in 1969 and Candido did a Remake in 1979. I had never heard or knew that the Candido version was a Remake and I have been playing that version since the 80s. Learned something new today.
The original is actually a whole decade earlier in 1959 by Babatunde Olatunji called Jin-go-lo-ba. Santana made this remake in 1969, then Candido in 1979, and Fatboy Slim did a cover in 2004 too. Legendary song with African roots
Carlos Santan, Latin Rock star! While I love this, it is not the one you should have started with. Try “Oye Como Va”, “Black Magic Woman” or “Evil”, there is so much more! By the way he is the lead guitar player, one of the historic, best!

Carlos Santana is one of the worlds greatest guitarists
From 69 to 74 top 10 no doubt. He fell off after that. Like Clapton after Cream .

That's why all of Carlos Santana.'s wife's were African American. They felt it. 🔥

Carlos Santana is an absolute legend in music and as a guitarist he’s in my top 3 . Probably 1 . He has so much charisma and tone. Genius
Legendary guitarist who has been making music for over five and a half decades. Rock, blues, fusion, funk, etc.
I bought Abraxas by Santana and almost played the black off the record. It is still amazing today. The cover art is also lovely.
🦫2.2.24. Ahhhh …. some Santana🎸 Latin Spice with some African Drum/ Congas 🪘mixed in for measure®️

Watch the live version of Samba Pa Ti from Montreux in 2011-It's on UA-cam-he is so smooth. You'll love the one I recommended.
Never heard this version. I heard Candido do it years ago but I guess it was a Remake of the Santana original.

BLACK MAGIC WOMAN
You would like Black Magic Woman by Santana, or the video for Smooth by Santana ft. Rob Thomas.
Listen to Santana's Europa very sensual you'll like it.
There’s an artist named Jellybean who did a fantastic cover of this, more of a dance club vibe.
Try listening to Black Diamond by Kiss, it's one of my favorite songs by them
song suggestion Norweigan band. Dance with a stranger - the invisible man!
CUBA
Europa by Santana
