The beauty of Ray’s is that there is something for everyone. An expert like Phil can bounce around, make up new lines and have a great day. A beginner can spend a day as well and never get over their head while pushing themselves. Only visited once a few years ago but had a blast.
Every time I see a video from Rays I’m constantly blown away by how much they cram in there! So fun to get a virtual tour in this video, wish it wasn’t so far away (or had an excuse to be in the area!)
Ray's was my first real MTB experience. I bought a cheap (but expensive for me a the time!) hardtail at a local bike shop and went single track once and then bam, Winter-time in the snowbelt. Thank the Gods for Ray's. Yes, this place is overwhelming but a true Mecca of MTB goodness and run by an awesome crew.
I love wathing your videos, Phil. The way you interact with fans and show appreciation to the kids is amazing. You're just so wholesome! Keep up the good work!
The crew that designed and built that bike park is effing amazing. Wish they had someplace like Rays in SoCal. As I get older. I see too many places for me to case it.
No way! we just missed you being there, we went the day before New Years Eve! Such a cool place, glad it got some recognition on a huge channel like yours!
I used to hit Rays Milwaukee a bunch before it closed. I saw kids there on bikes so small it blew my mind. Strider sized, but with pedals. There were a few that could not have been more than 5 that were ripping. I will be making the drive to Cleveland at least once this winter.
Man I always go up on the wrong days lol, I’ll have to bother nick to see if any of your skills rubbed off 😂 hope to catch you riding somewhere someday. Keep up the great videos.
I know tons of people prolly say this to you, but legit dude if you are still in Cleveland I live an hour west and have a sweet spot to ride that most people don’t know about, I’m talking 100’ straight cliffs, it’s beautiful man, it would be an honor to show you!
@@SkillsWithPhil it really is man, I could show you around hundreds upon hundreds of acres of legitimately awesome spots to free ride if you’re truly ever interested
Man, I love Ray's. I have lived in the area for nearly two decades but somehow never knew this place existed until a few months ago. After my first trip I was hooked and I'll definitely be getting a season pass next year. It's a playground for anyone who likes their biking to involve ups and downs, regardless of skill level. Wish I had known you were in town, I couldn't have kept up but it would have been fun to watch. I think I've run in to your new buddy Nick too, I'm pretty sure he was the guy who taught my friend and I a few things about pedals while we were catching our breath between sessions on the little triple jump set. Nice guy if so.
I live in Waterbury Vermont and I have so much close to me for mtb biking in summer but mannnnn we need something like this in northern Vermont!!! I would love to volunteer some time to see this pop up in an abandoned mill or farm somewhere up here!
that is a whole lot of track, twists and turns everywhere... do they have something like this in Vermont??...sure would make the snowy cold winter months go by faster...or just go to Stowe and ski instead....😎😎...thanks
I was there all day on Monday with my daughters, riding my La Bomba that I am trying to get your's and Wynn's signatures on the yellow GT decals on the DTs...one day!
@@SkillsWithPhil I kept wondering about that :) Yea it's unfortunate that in the course of being in a somewhat public environment you can still get copyright claims. Thanks for the vid!
This place reminds me of the Peter Pan movie “Hook”. All the wood planks and colorful line markers. You should scream boomerang next time you ride it. Lol
Yeah, one of the days I will. Overall I ride FS bikes because I just enjoy them way more. Hardtails are fun and I recommend them to a lot of people, but I don't enjoy riding them nearly as much.
I love how with Phil a random subscriber such as Nick becomes a friend who he spends the whole day with
That’s the beauty of riding, make friends easily. Seems like Phil hasn’t lost that part of riding despite him being well known and that’s awesome.

In case you're wondering: Yes. Ray's is ABSOLUTELY worth the trip.
It sure is!
Agreed
Thanks for the photo Phil! I am the one with the white helmet and trek tee shirt at 2:24!
As a Clevelander I’m proud to tell people we have this place less than a half hour of home 😌

This place looks crazy. Strong work!
Awesome video Phil and was a blast riding with you and showing you around a little. Aka Nick.
I grew up in NE ohio and this place was built right before I moved. Still never gone and it kills me. It's freaking beautiful!!

Keeping it real 👍

Definitely have to put this on the bucket list of places to visit!

Can't wait til my kids are big enough to make a trip up there. Looks like a great place

Great place!
Looks so cool. There is on in PA that also looks cool (The Wheel Mill). I wish CT would open one.
I live close to the wheel mill it’s nice too. Looks like rays has more and is bigger.
That place is crazy sick!
Once again, Phil has proved that he has skills! Keep absolutely destroying it Phil!! #biggest fan

The UK defo needs one of these . Unless they have one I haven't heard of .
This is a bucket list trip.
Can't wait to try the new lines and stuff at rays!
First View!!! Love your videos bro, hope you had a great Christmas man.

I need to get out to that area more. It seems like there is a lot of cool spots.

What a sweet video with a classic friend ending
Riding with your little fan 👍. Keep up the great job
I live about 3 hours away from rays but still find myself going every weekend. I ride bmx and mtb so it’s my winter paradise
@GhostedOne I’m in Tennessee, and we aren’t too far from Rays, where are you located?
@@astreet339 I’m up in the Detroit area
Was just there myself. Such a great place to ride. Nice video.

I've been to rays 2 times and Im pumped for the next time I go
I love how their rocking the doors.
wow, what a sick park! you're an awesome rider bro. great channel.
Awesome video Phill :)
Looks like a good spot!
Definitely on my list of places to ride this winter! 🙂
you should come back during the summer and check out all the new trails in the area, there's something for everyone!
wooooah that place is so cool
This place looks so cool 🤩🤘🔥
Rays is so good
We must've just missed you guys! We were there on the same days last week such a fun place
I’ve been twice this year. Love it
Great video - love all the skinnies 😍
So cool! 🤘🏼🤙🏼
Even with all the distortion to prevent copyright strikes, I still heard Tool - Sober playing in the background ❤🤘
I live in Waterbury Vermont and I have so much close to me for mtb biking in summer but mannnnn we need something like this in northern Vermont!!! I would love to volunteer some time to see this pop up in an abandoned mill or farm somewhere up here!
I've been looking. As much as I enjoy Snow sports Winters are brutal :(
Yay dirt jumper content!!!

pretty dam cool place
That place is crazy! Pick a line any line, make a line, what line!?
Anyone else lean into the corners when he turns?? 😂
Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. :)
I live an hour south of Ray's. Everyone recommends Friday evenings to catch a smaller crowd.
Great video. I just got back from there. I’ve been going there since it opened.
Rays is great drove to there from N.Y if u have a bike & a Helmet Go! So much fun.
Are you sure you don't want to hit the rock garden looks fun that statement is priceless LOL
we need something like this in NH area its be a money maker
I was there all day on Monday with my daughters, riding my La Bomba that I am trying to get your's and Wynn's signatures on the yellow GT decals on the DTs...one day!
Going to Ray's tomorrow!
I was just there on thanksgiving, you really gotta work for those jumps
No way thanks for following me on a lap and giving me those cool stickers
Mannnnn so bummed I wasn’t there!!
Love this, but more building and more Hailey :D
Please come back to Ohio this summer and come ride Horns Hill. You wont be disappointed
Yo love your videos
Holy smokes there's a whole lot of talents and balls(intestinal fortitude) in this room.
we were there new years day. Best day as it really isn't busy.
is it me or is there always a really low pitched voice in the background of the video? am i going crazy?
I had to do some trickery to skirt around UA-cam's content ID system. My previous upload was flagged a million times.
@@SkillsWithPhil ah, sneaky one. nice video phil!
@@SkillsWithPhil I kept wondering about that :) Yea it's unfortunate that in the course of being in a somewhat public environment you can still get copyright claims. Thanks for the vid!
I scrolled thru to find this haha, thought I was the only one
@@midnightKEKW Thank you (sincerely). I appreciate people who read through comments before asking a question that has been answered multiple times. :)
Ohhh, Phil Kmetz!
I went there probably 10 years ago, I agree it is overwhelming and a bit confusing! Did my first mini ramp into foam pit there.
Rays!
I would question the abandoned term for the warehouse but that place is incredible and loved the video
Nobody really cares about semantics on you tube
was gonna go there basically tomorrow but plans changed, hoping to get a trip in on a long weekend off school
Love the channel Phil. How long are you in Cleveland? I'm coming up to Ray's tomorrow!
This videos was filmed earlier this month, and I'm back in Vermont now. Have fun man!
@@SkillsWithPhil ahh man! Hopefully run into you some day. Only just got into MTB this year and your videos are a large reason why!
I'm sorry but 13:28 got me😂
Do you have to have a special bike to ride at someplace like this? I have a cruiser which probably wouldn’t be suitable haha but just curious
This place reminds me of the Peter Pan movie “Hook”. All the wood planks and colorful line markers. You should scream boomerang next time you ride it. Lol
I’ve always wanted to go to rays
I was just there about a month ago. It's super fun!
Just curious, do you run tubes/tubeless in a hard-surface bike park like this? What PSI?
An entrepreneur could box up this concept and put it in every major metro and make their fortune
All of the skinnies in the beginning reminded me of a nightmare I once had 🤣
What gt model are you riding here
Damn seems hard to do on a enduro bike!
Damn I wish I would have known you were in Cleveland! I would have come to say hello!
what year, La Bomba are you riding, Phil? is that the stock setup, or did you adjust? bars look slightly like they have more rise..??
This place was one of the places I never got to go but always wanted to....never went thru Ohio it's been in BMX vids since early 2000
You should check out Mike's bike park down in Dayton Ohio, smaller than rays but last I checked they were working on a third floor.
Wow, Looks COOL! Phill, when are you going to make a video riding an GT-hardtail mountainbike? 🙃
A lot of people ride a hardtail!
Yeah, one of the days I will. Overall I ride FS bikes because I just enjoy them way more. Hardtails are fun and I recommend them to a lot of people, but I don't enjoy riding them nearly as much.
nick!!!!!! that dude lives at rays!
Phil, when were you in Cleveland?! I'm back home and have gone to Ray's twice already!
Phil goes "Squirrel!!!!!" way too easily.....
I Saw you there, your so good
Was really hoping I'd have my Standard Dirt Jumper built by now so I could enjoy Ray's this year. :(
What GoPro do you use?
“Sounds like you’re seat’s loose”. “Yep.” Bro, your bell had to have got rung a bit there…
Damn! I’m going end of February.
