In this mission there are 8 Mission tasks.
Eliminated the former rebel Mbele soldier - 2:35 to 5:20
Eliminated 5 prisoners being held at Kungenga Mine - 32:27
Extracted child prisoner - 32:27
Extracted the former rebel Mbele soldier - 2:35 to 5:20
Completed the mission by extracting 5 child soldiers without the enemy discovering - 17:55 to 32:27
Eliminated the gunship - 18:30 to 19:27
Extracted 5 snipers from areas near Kungenga Mine, NE and SW Guard Posts
-- Snipers 1, 2 and 3 - 12:09 to 15:24
-- Snipers 4 and 5 - 32:27 to 35:21
Extracted 3 armoured vehicles
-- Armoured vehicle 1 - 0:27 to 01:50

Just a tip for beginners, if you want an easier time getting the kids out, drop a Jeep in the mine area and tranq the kids and load them into the Jeep (you'll need two) Fulton the Jeeps and then get out quickly from the drop point without worrying about the river.

or just tranq them at the gate and drag them up to the right up the hill. Take out the air radar in the mine and call a gunship right on your position takes 2 seconds

I don't understand why those 3 snipers are in a completely non-strategic area and you have to go out of the main mission to complete all tasks.

Exactly.
Beware that gunship if you don't take it down early and you're extracting the children by chopper; it's likely to spot you while you're loading the children on. The first time I did this mission, Pequod lifted back off before I arrived and shot the gunship down himself, earning me the mission task and an S-rank (and a flare upgrade for himself for a job well done). The second time I did it, Pequod ignored the attacking gunship, ate lead, and crashed on top of the children.

+Xick The first time I played through Pequod not only shielded me and the kids from the gunship that was just passing by, but also allowed me to escape with my Perfect Stealth 0 kills intact. He got a shiny new chopper for that one.
I didn't need a rocket to take down the gunship. When I was caught by the copter, I used my assault rifle to take it down. It took 3 clips
5:15 Kind of made me happy when you were talking about the fulton distance, when I first got the game I was trying to learn all the stats and I was kinda disappointed that no one knew that piece of information.
Yeah, I just learnt that from playing the game a lot and repeating missions. Good to know that info was useful
Hey man, I recently went back and started replaying MGSV to get all the achievements. You’ve been such a great help in my quest to do so. I just wanted to say thank you and I’ve subscribed to your channel. On a side note, for tranqing the snipers, I used a much easier method: Since I knew I’d need a rocket launcher for the helicopter, I brought my own sniper lol. I gave Quiet the Suppressed Guilty Butterfly and she took care of them 1 shot each. She also saved my ass when I messed up and got spotted at the outpost. Having her do recon and be your guardian angel when infiltrating is very handy. Also, I used EMP mines for the armored vehicles. Those really come in handy. As for the Helicopter, I didn’t have homing missiles so I had to improvise. I cleared out the first large outpost along with the smaller one past it. Then I planted some C4 on the road near the helis route. Once it came by, I detonated the C4 as a diversion. It caught the heli’s attention thus making him stop momentarily. In that moment, I blasted him with my lvl 5 FB MR R-Launcher. I made sure I was on top of the hill along his route so that he didn’t have time to fully spot me once I fired. That method worked great. Thanks again for all your help.😊

dont know if it was mentioned, but you can just kick the kids and they get stunned, then wormhole them
yeah sleep dart them works , since i have the silenced tranq shot Burkolt ( spelling) pistol with ALOT mroe ammo then the starting pistol and doesnt require reload on each shot

You need the perk to fulton kids. Something you unlock much later in the game, but you can always go back and replay a mission anyway. Wormhole fulton strongly recommended as you can fulton the kids before they even leave the cave.

To make this one a little easier, for anyone else watching, you can call in supply drops and you'll still get your S rank (one for your missile launcher after you've used your sniper rifle on the first three snipers, then another one for your sniper rifle back once you've taken down the chopper). Also, there's no need to kill anyone, you can just wormhole them out. And you can wormhole the kids as soon as you find them (just tranq each one in the head first) so you don't have to worry about dragging them around.
That being said - thanks for the video! It was a fun watch.

Has anyone found out that you can fulton all kids with wormhole and go on the final part of the mission on your own? That makes the 'no enemy discovering their escape' task much easier. Just order them to wait then use CQC. The kids will stay still. You can use the fulton device then.

I'm going to join the other commenters and say your walkthroughs are simply the best of all I've seen, comprehensive and fun to watch. I really hope you don't give up on the game and do all the missions eventually. I couldn't help noticing however that your tactics are the same "let's go ahead and tranq everyone" most of the time, which sometimes can create unnecessary complications. For example, groups of enemies moving around in vehicles like ones in missions 16 and 17 are easily dispatched at once using sleep mines or sleep grenades instead of hunting them down separately later on or trying to hit them all in the leg and hoping they'll fall asleep simultaneously.
Also you didn't have to kill the guards in the last camp. Here's a really neat trick few people seem to know about. If you're trying to clear a large area with a lot of guards and afraid it may take longer than tranquilizer works, either hold them up and order them to get down or knock them out/tranq them and then just kick them to wake them up and point your gun at them. They'll roll over, cover their head with their hands and stay in this position INDEFINITELY unless someone finds them or there's a combat alert (in which case you're probably going to restart from checkpoint anyway if you're going for an S rating). That's it, you don't have to extract everyone or kill guards just so they don't wake up and raise alarm. This also makes CQC chains infinitely more useful since you don't have to worry about their short stun duration. Sneak up on a group of enemies, take them all out then wake them up one by one and point your gun at them. It's kinda counterintuitive but a held up enemy lying on the ground is as good as stunned or drugged unless there's a combat alert.

Some of those tactics you mentioned sound really good and I might use them in later missions but for most of the early missions I wanted to use things that most people will have access to early so they don't think they need to develop things just to complete the tasks. And sometimes I just forget that I can do something else then just tranquilize them :)
I didn't know that when you hold them up and get them get down they will stay there indefinitely. I have ran into enemies that will try to attack you with a knife before they get on the ground so I thought they would eventually get up if you left, but they must not.
+TimeTravelKiwi I understand your desire to keep it simple and not use gear most people may not have access to, that's a fair point and generally I can get behind that. It's just that I did mission 17 just yesterday and it was so much easier by first setting a sleep mine where the first jeep with the 3 guards in it stops and then giving Quiet free reign over the camp where you have to rescue the 3rd prisoner. She tranq'd all of them in no time, the whole mission took slightly over 10 minutes with ALL objectives completed in one go and I just couldn't believe it was that easy xD
Holding up enemies, yeah, it's a bit counterintuitive that they'll just lie there without trying anything long after you're gone, but there we go. I'm not sure if they stay down literally indefinitely but even if there's a timer it's a LONG one, so it's effectively a permanent knockout. You can consider it an alternative to tying people up which we could do in real life if we wanted enemies to stay neutralized for a long time.
As for ones that try to hit you with a knife they're really easy to detect. Once they lift their arms, quickly press LB or whatever the "talk" button is on PS4 and see if the interrogation options have appeared. If they have, just give the order to lie down, if they haven't, that means the enemy is about to try and sucker punch you which you can prevent by performing a quick CQC throw. Once the enemy is on the ground, kick him to wake him up and do the lying-down holdup which from my experience never fails.

+TimeTravelKiwi Just fnished this mission and here's another tip: right next to the position of the last sniper there's another Digitalis (Lutea) which is extremely rare and valuable to those who like using sleep grenades so I think it should be mentioned.

I'm sure that by now you know that holding enemies up and telling them to get down serves as a non-lethal means of permanent incapacitation (provided they remain unseen and you don't trigger an alert status).
I also succesfully snuck the kids past held up, downed guards, just in case anyone was wondering if that could be acheived non-lethally.

I just needed the snipers, tanks and to extract the first target so took your method and tweaked it to fit my needs. Took an hour and 10 mins as I decided to do all tasks anyway, extracted everything and everything I came across and still got the S Rank😈 Even if you clear all of the enemies at the mines as well as the final two snipers before you rescue the kids, the game will still spawn two fresh enemies to the left when you come out of the lower exit. Simply deal with them, tranq the kids and extract them and then call the chopper to the mine itself and jump on with the last kid (provided you have the fulton for kids that is).
As always these are great guides, either to emulate step by step or use as a template for your own infiltrations. Just finishing the last dozen or so mission objectives for 100% and Platinum trophy, so close I can taste it🤣
Hopefully they add some trophies for the Master Collection next week🍀💯

excellent video , i did couple things different i cleared out the mine THEN took out the chopper so no one heard the shot , also becasue the chopper doesnt patrol over the mine at all only around the outside. and i fulton extracted the children right away by accident i sleep dart the 4 who could walk and extracted them then instead of picking up the one who couldnt i accidently fulton him so it wa sjust a few enemies between me and the last 2 snipers who before finishing watching the video and even though took 56 min for entire mission i also got S rank as well with 156,??? points and i read somewhere 137,000 is what u need for S rank. i guess my 26 headshots which added 26k pts helped push me over . but as i said your video besides killing everyone where i tranqed them instead was very helpfull i just called down supply drop of my CS25 Rocket and chopper had no chance.
I didn't get all the tasks done my first go around (I've only recently gotten this game), but I coincidentally decided to take my lethal loadout into this mission, because I was tired of sneaking around and holding people up. After a while, the helicopter was bugging me, so I ordered a launcher drop and took it out. Even though I took forever (just shy of an hour) and got a combat alert, I somehow managed an 'S' rank.

You can alternately just knock the children out and extract them right when you get out of the mine.
Instead of escorting the children to the chopper, you can tranquilize them and extract them if you have an upgraded fulton. It also counts as the enemy not discovering them misssing for the task.

Fortunately, I choose to upgrade both ZZZ Pistol and ZZZ Rifle and left the other Weapons out for now! O' hurry June, I'll have plenty of time to play then! Easy
BTW. You get bonus GMP (about 5000) for not using "Reflex Mode". You can disable it in the game settings menu, before you leave the "Title Menu" to enter the game.
Something I did that made it easier is if you have child Fulton you can extract hurt kid right away and not worry about carrying him
If you have the child fulton upgrade you can tranq all the kids and fulton them after you get out of the mine. Even quicker if you have the wormhole fulton.

I'm also studying engineering and its that time of year when lots of test and assignments are happening. For example this week I have a test today and two assignments due by Friday.

Just remember there's no time limit for this mission, and you can get an S rank even if you take hours to finish it. I know because it took me 1 hour, 59 minutes, 39.282 seconds to complete the mission and I got an S rank, and I suck at this game lol.
My MUST-FOLLOW tips for this mission if you're struggling are as follows:
1- BE PATIENT
It's not a race.
2- Think ahead
Take out the tanks and helicopter before doing anything else, and I mean ANYTHING.
3- Be thorough
If you extract (or kill) every enemy before entering the mine, you'll encounter somewhere between zero and two enemies on your _entire_ trip to exfiltration.
4- Use D Dog
So you don't get caught off guard by a sneaky fart boi.
Just understand before you start that it may take you 2 hours, and it may cost a lot of money for resupplies or buddy swap-outs, and you might not get an S rank (but if I did then you absolutely can,) and decide before you start that you won't abandon the mission, you won't stop progressing until it tells you either "mission failed" or "mission success," and just take your time and be careful and thorough.
What finally got me through this mission was focusing FIRST on getting the tanks and helicopter out of the AO before anything else. Use EMN mines to disable the tanks while behind cover, then crawl up and extract them, then use a rocket launcher to destroy the helecopter but make sure you're in a big field or else away from ground soldiers. I didn't have anything that could lock on, so I had to trigger one alert to get the chopper to hold still. Only cost me 5k-no biggie.
Next, extract everyone including the solo target, from the marked camp. Use magazines and cover to lure individuals to safe spots for Fulton extraction.
Then head to the mine and continue chipping away at soldier numbers.
BEFORE ENTERING THE MINE, follow the extraction route and clean up all the guards along that path so you don't have to do it with children in tow.
That's really it.
You can absolutely do this so long as you have a modicum of patience and are capable of being thorough about extracting all the loathesome dung-eaters.

ive watched another video of someone who had bawlz enough to shoot it down with his assault rifle and sniper rifle . how the hell he did it but he did and he barely used 2 clips from his AR if only we could do like Quiet does and 1 shot through the glass and kill the pilot :P

PSA: IF YOU HAVE THE KID FULTON UPGRADE YOU CAN TRANQ THE KIDS AND EXTRACT THEM THAT WAY
You can drive behind the tank and just bumb rear it with your jeep,it will stop aand fulton;)
Easier way: use zzz grenade and extract them after the cage

I went through a war zone with the kids. Like, I kept alerting people I couldn't see. Eventually I said screw it, killed everybody and went to the chopper. I just finished there rather than going to get the last snipers because I knew I wouldn't S rank it. So I left, and got an S rank... Then I'm just like *What?! How!? What eves* Well, time to take my time and finish the tasks now

I dont thinkni ever tried it but you know how Ddog has multiple equippable armours and tec equipment leatha wounding non/leathal and fulton and he will go up to people on the ground and extract them i cant mind if you could do it on unaware enemy's on patrol or vehicles or containers im thinking about getting the gane again as i used to play it on 360 lol😅

put the kids to sleep then extract them save you a lot of time but make sure the fulton is upgraded for kids

Bro help me, the third tank never appears to me. I have lost 6 hours resetting, phantom cigaring and searching the whole zone at post 02, east and west. North and South. But nothing. I manage to get the first 2 tanks but not the third.

@@laffsoap8063 It appears. You have to do them from 0 in order, use the cigar for an hour or so, the tank will appear even if you are quick
@@Rapsody93 what I did was just going forwards and backwards on that road where vehicle appears and at one point it showed up, but I was so close to giving up lol xD
Ok I don't know why but every video i watch isn't helping me with this, As in killing the 5 prisoner's cause nobody is telling me where they are at ;-;
The children shown here ARE the five prisoners. But you can't kill them. You have to extract them.
