Taking out the walker gear guys broke the script for me. The guy shows up in the vehicle & just stands there doing nothing. I could phantom cigar for hours, no moving.
I only started this game recently and your videos have really helped. I do love that you always run up to the right side of the left hand drive Jeep. I chuckle every time.
Don't follow this strategy. The walker guys have a scripted conversation with the driver when he arrives at the sand dunes. If this conversation doesn't happen, the palace will sometimes go on alert when the driver gets there. With this game, you're better off 100% ghosting any missions that involve convos and scripts, because the slightest meddling will usually break them.
I followed this strategy to a tee and it worked out completely fine. I even got a combat alert with one of the search team members and just lost them and then waited out their scripted events. I also extracted all search team members before the transport driver arrived and had no issues with bugs. Perhaps some RNG involved but this strat worked perfectly for me.

It also gives the player the opportunity to be the legendary soldier of MGS, cuz you are expected to hide and sneak around while doing all these tasks. This is one of the best games ever, very misunderstood.
I am always taking some decoys with me. I am using them to either stop a moving vehicle or to stun armored soldier or to stun a group of soldiers gathered in one spot. It also works at walking gears as well.
for those who have problems because the soldier does not speak to the prisoner wait together with the other 4 while the driver arrives, there will be a dialogue
So I figured out you gotta restart this you can't use a cp at the village where they hold the prisoners, cause for some reason when you use cp they go on alert and execute him straight away, I guess you could still do it but it's just harder to stop them. Executing him straight away.
+tim lee there's a way to fix this, u simply kill the soldier who tries to execute the prisoner who is on the jeep, then tranq everyone else, then wait for the assassin
I had to do a cp restart here cause I lost my marker on the driver and everyone started waking up when I was looking for him and then when I restarted from cp they kept executing him instead of waiting for the guy in the mask
You think the Phantom Cigar might break the scripting for the assassin? That's the only mission task I have left on this mission and don't want to have to sit at that camp for 15mins!:P
well, the driver dont get the prisoner on the jeep, i played it 30 times and still nothing. i get the 4 soldiers and when the driver is comming he doesnt get the prisoner on the car....
I'm a bit late, but once you've done a task, you can instantly restart mission or restart from checkpoint. Just fulton the patrol, restart from checkpoint and don't bother with them. That should trigger the events correctly.
Any chance you doing other tips videos concerning MGS V? Like maybe best way to farm S Rank Soldiers? I've heard that Mission 48 is best and just wondering your thoughtts.
+Damian Clark I'm not sure, I haven't really been focusing on the Soldiers. All I can say is the more I extract soldiers easier it is to find S rank soldiers, I think it might be based on the mother base units levels, the higher you get it the more you'll find them in any mission and free roam, but some missions give you bonus solders for completing tasks and S Ranks and stuff so mission 48 might give you good bonus soldiers.
Hey man I have all trophies besides the nuke ones and I know this has nothing to do with this video but I was wondering if you can develop a nuke from your normal resources or does it have to be from resources obtained from other people's online F.O.B's? Because I hate those F.O.B missions and won't bother of that's the case.
+Mathew Slater I pretty sure I used materials that I got from anywhere but I have heard that you might need to be connected online to be able to start the development because the nuke is used for defending your FOB from people who haven't achieved Hero Status yet.
Yea I disposed of mine too, then looked up on how to lose demon points, -30,000 for disposing of 10 nukes. looked at my FOB missions saw one guy with a nuke and stole it. Then I felt really bad for that guy, spending that long developing a nuke then to have it stolen, my bad :/

I can't exit the chopper because the icon to drop doesn't appear. I'm playing the Xbox One version. Any ideas of how to jump off the chopper? I've tried putting a marker on a landing spot but hasn't worked.
I have a glitch in this mission, First i can not put to sleep 2 out of 4 walker gear soldiers, Second stealth is broken(more precisely spotting) i literally came near walking gear and they did not spot me, so i managed to extract them, but because tranquilizing them failed driver came over so i was in need to put him to sleep also.
Thank you so much for the guides man. Helped me out a ton. But this game was one of the least enjoyable platinums I've ever experienced. I almost gave up so many times, but just powered through them. Should have stopped after I actually beat the game. Plat was no fun at all. Some of the tasks in a lot of missions are just plain stupid and so easily broken. Like, you have to hear a conversation in order for a radio sequence to happen that spawns an enemy, but if you get any kind of minor alert, everything is voided. Or want to skip a place and go straight to the objective to do a task? nah, you have to stay at the first place in order to activate a conversation/radio sequence first. Like on this mission, one time I went past the palace to take out the assassin on his way there, but he never spawned (even when prisoner was at the palace) simply because I didnt get close enough to the palace to trigger a voice radio about the prisoner being there and having the disease. Got to early at a place? nope, gotta wait a day, and 99% its broken, so you have to do it at a specific time of day (looking at you mission 14). So many little things can happen that can ruin your whole run, 10-20 minutes after starting. K rant over. my strategy for this mission which I failed multiple times, once because of a minor alert but no combat so assassin didnt come, one because for some reason the 4 walker gear enemies in the desert are wearing armor and cant stranq them, and other 2 times, I just brought my stealth camo, infinite bandana, and brennan, waited for the prisoner to be taken to the palace, and tranq the assassin way before he got to the palace. then i just killed everyone while wearing steealth camo with my brennan except for the driver.
yolozocker 11 I've heard from some that there's a way to keep her even after Episode 45, and was just checking. That's what's really stopping me from 100% because I don't want to lose her. I like her, but more than that, she's so useful with just wiping out a base with her tranqs.

I just did this too and my solution was to run into the guy knock him down then run away it seems to reset the AI

What is it with this game and it' s optional mission objectives that take place like 10 miles away from the mission area?
Because world is not that big, so they are adding objectives(which are all also similar) in different places just to add more useless gameplay :)

I would've gotten this if the guy actually picked up the prisoner in the desert... He just sits there.

I went in the dangerous landing zone and went ham with the fully upgraded chopper then b-lined it to the soldier. Hey, it worked! Haha.
Took me a long time to get back to normal after the nuke the animal conservation trophy helped with that

You just fire support sleeping gas on location and that is it
Soldiers went on alert when they see the cia prisoner enter the base. Then they execute him before the assassin shows. What am I doing wrong?

tim lee Yeah you have to develop the last of the m2000 sniper rifle either the lethal or non lethal versions and then slot the scope in.
