Yeah.. The Offspring isn’t really Grunge. They are a Punk Rock band. Probably the best Punk Rock band out of the 90’s. Way better than Green Day. Man Green Day sucks....
Josef Kaňka This is an extremely difficult song to sing, no matter the age. I used to rock out to this song at 12 and it was insanely hard even at that young age.
This is a difficult song indeed and I love OffSpring. Saying that, Dexter has always given fairly poor vocal performances in live. It’s fast and high pitched but he could give up on the guitar for a start and he’d get more breathe to sing. I’m very different styles, Bruce Dickinson and Bon Scott’s live performances are equal to what they do in studio versions.
I really love The Offspring since the early days, but sadly enough, the vocals aren't as good live. Which is true for different kind of bands btw. I do love this song very much though!
I think it's more his voice being tired, than out of tune. Other live performances of this, and Dexter absolutely nails it. This is definitely NOT one of the best performances of this song.
