@@papaji634 the average weight of a tectonic plate is 40.678 sextillion tonnes, however the amount of force required to shift that is 58 teratons of TNT which we refer to as country level in power-scaling. Basically meaning superman can output and endure the force necessary to destroy a country
First lol. And I absolutely loved Cobra Kai season 5! I agree with your 9.5/10. The writing, the acting is all so well done and put together! Terry Silver was one hell of a good villain. No debate, definitely one of the best of all time! A truly unstoppable force of nature that always know what he’s doing who also happens to also always be one step ahead of you but at the same time, as shown in season 3 and 4, he is still somewhat sympathetic since he was a changed man and managed to redeem himself until Kreese came back and brought out the old Silver mainly by bringing up the Vietnam flashbacks which also adds another layer to his character.
Cobra Kai season 5 was also Daniels best season no doubt. Seeing a character who seems to have it all figured out at an all time low really hits hard but, it was definitely something that Daniels character definitely needed. I love how midway through the season, it was like Johnny and Daniel had switched personalities with Daniel being the aggressive one and Johnny being the more calm one who has his life figured out.
Chozen was also a beast this season. By far the strongest Cobra Kai character if we ignore flashbacks and the karate kid films. Closest present day character to Mr. Miyagi level.I loved the dynamic between him and Johnny. But to me, the best thing about season 5 was Kreese. I absolutely loved every scene he was in. Especially the scene where he confronts his past in in episode 6. He may not be a menacing as silver however, he is honestly the most interesting character of the show.
Honestly, there is just so many good things including Barnes returning as a good guy, Miguel, Robby Sam Tory rival ending and so much more I can’t list it all. However, I will say the season isn’t perfect. I completely agree with you on hawk. It felt like everything Hawks character had gained from season 4 was thrown out the window. Losing to Kenny was the stupidest thing I had seen in a while. Although Kenny had multiple advantages and hawk massively holding back and underestimating him, the writers still could’ve done the scene better. I think they should’ve had hawk get the first 3 points but the reff only counts 2 due to being payed by silver. But then Kenny would use the silver bullet weakening hawk but he can still fight. This way, it will be shown that Kenny hasn’t fully mastered to silver bullet yet. But then Kenny uses the silver bullet again and hawk can no longer continue and Kenny is declared the winner. This way, you can have It so Hawk is still shown to be stronger but Kenny still wins. Speaking of Kenny. I could not stand his character this season. From having massive plot armour to putting Anthony’s head in a toilet full of sh*t to being the most arrogant one in the season, I couldn’t stand or sympathize with him anymore. Seeing him get his ass kicked by Miguel in the finale was a nice refresher. I think it would have been better if instead of having Kenny as the top dog, they bring in Shawn Kenny’s brother. It would be interesting to see the dynamic between him and Kenny and his interactions with Robby. They also should have brought in Xander stone since he was also a heavy hitter and was in Topanga Karate which Silver acquired along with Maybe Robby’s old goons from Season 1. I also agree the the Mexico storyline as it just feels so rushed and as soon as Miguel gets back, everything goes back to normal as if nothing changed. Miguel should’ve been there for one more episode and it should have had more of an effect on Miguel’s life. Last, I will mention Mike Barnes. I loved seeing him as a good guy however, I wish he played a bit of a bigger role. He should’ve have been in the final battle more with Johnny. I do understand there may have trouble scheduling actors which is completely understandable but I still think they could’ve added more to his character. We should’ve got a bit more backstory of his family and how he bacame a national karate champion before meeting silver. What I would’ve done is, after the events of KK3, Silver is pissed at Barnes for losing and makes his life a living hell before sending him back to his family where he ends up depressed but meets someone who helps him mentally and eventually, he starts a furniture business. Then, during present day, he gets a call from silver asking if he wants to teach at Cobra Kai along with receiving huge sum of money. Mike his hesitant but declines as he remember what silver did to him after KK3. Silver than proceeds to burn down his store. Now Mike is also at an all time low but eventually crosses paths with Daniel where they make up and learn more about each other and eventually Barnes joins Daniel to take down silver.
None the less, Cobra Kai season 5 was an awesome season. It is my second favourite season after season 3. I am really looking forward to the next season along with more of your videos and it’s nice to see another Marvel and Cobra Kai fan around! And sorry for the long essay. Probably the largest comment I’ve made😂
Totally agreed. It’s interesting to see how in season 4 terry gradually changes into the monster that he was from KK3. At first he wants nothing to do with Kreese or cobra kai; he recognises that what he did in the 80s was horrific. But then his PTSD from Vietnam kicks in thanks to Kreese, forcing him to embrace karate once again. However, he only agrees to help Kreese train the students and win the all valley as a pose to all the bullying shit Kreese gets them to pull off. We know this because of that scene where Kreese and silver agreed to go talk to Johnny and Daniel, silver even said himself that “cobra kai was never about revenge”
Then after Kreese threatens him, he focuses on proving his loyalty to Kreese which is why he beats up Johnny, only to be turned down and accidentally discover his and Kreese’s weaknesses. Then stingray came in just at the wrong place wrong time as silver took out all his anger onto him. From that moment, silver has fully embraced his dark side and is full on Terry Silver from the Karate Kid 3.
He even had the balls to frame Kreese and get him arrested for a crime he committed himself. That’s something he’d never do before.
“I’m shutting out my weakness” comes to show how he’s finally stopped answering to Kreese and recognised himself as the stronger sensei.
You’re also right about Daniel needing that arc, up until this point nothing’s really been that bad for him in the series which prevented him from learning the same lessons Johnny did. But now he’s gone into a full downward spiral which essentially put him in Johnny’s position from the beginning of S1 and S3. So to see him finally learn his lesson and use the crane kick on silver was amazing
I agree with ur take on kenny and hawk, even though hawk only lost due to holding back and only using Miyagi Do since Robby told him to go easy on kenny, and he only decided to fight seriously after kenny elbowed his leg
“No more Eli, it’s time to uncage the Hawk” is when he stopped holding back and started using both styles. Too bad it was right at that moment when kenny used the silver bullet on him. Hawk was only taken out from the silver bullet because he was weakened after kenny elbowed his leg, we know this because Robby (who is hawk’s equal) took the silver bullet in the finale and was still able to keep fighting and take several more hits.
But yeah kenny was super arrogant and unlikeable this season. Props to Miguel for kicking him off his high horse
