Returnal and Demons Souls are the only PS5 games I purchased so far. I got Platinum on Demons Souls and am now working my way through Returnal. Extremely happy with both those games.
Same here. With 3D Sound on headphones, most probably the most epic bossfight I've ever had, this game has an unreal immersion. An unbelievable feeling being in stage 3 and knowing fuck yes I'll beat him ❤️
The Hyperion theme is definitely my favorite. The whole atomsphere as the music gets louder as you ascend to the top to fight the boss battle. Amazing!
i know right ? its rare for games to have wild encounters anymore . i think i havent felt this since god of war 1 and 2 with their surprising moments like fall to atlas in 2 or the fight in space against ares in 1 . generally moments i couldnt expect . this game have that and its been ages since i got that happiness of actually loving every second from a game

This game and its soundtrack is phenomenal. I still remember when I fought Nemesis for the first time and just that...sense of awe as this massive figure loomed over me.
I remember fighting nemesis and beating it first try...one of the best moments for me in gaming....I was losing that fight. Quarter of health left, no healing items...I just went into phase 3(so he had full health) i got pushed all the way back at the 8 min mark in the music, morale was low and thought it was gameover...then 8:05 hit..I shouted "LETS GO!!...it gave me momentum, morale...to charge ahead and I won...game is a master piece..the music plays a huge part in that. Plus Selene is such a awesome character..she reminds me of Ripley from Alien.
I can't say one word to express my feelings when encounter Nemesis. How can I describe this epic theme and judgment day level design or this hellish boss !!
This is one of the most forgiving bosses in the entire game, you can survive quite a few hits, the moving platforms in phase 3 block a lot of the projectiles heading towards you, and you're invincible while using the grappling hook. Even then, it's one of my favorite boss experiences of all time. I've never died to any of the bosses in this game, but damn the boss in the 2nd biome takes the cake for most challenging though, its last phase never fails to kick my ass.
I was angry at this boss, but the sequence right afterwards makes it so worth it... The devs really trusted their audience when they hid such a gem behind such a massive skillwall.
People fall into the trap of going for the boss skipping the previous areas. If you play this like a real roguelike you can max out your weapon level and melt it in a few minutes.

I can't play this game yet because i don't have a ps5, but i watched a video of the bosses and my god this fight's atmosphere looks absolutely beautiful, i was SHOCKED. One day i'll definitely play this game.

Heavely Metroid prime 2. If Metroid prime 1 had this atmosphere it would’ve been the best Metroid game of all time but no sometimes it feels to earthling.
5:42 does this part actually play? I've never heard it in-game EDIT: it's rare because you have to stay in phase 2 for 2 minutes and most people obliterate phase 2 in like 30 seconds

Once the platforms fell apart and you had to keep grappling, I was taken by surprise. It pumped up my adrenaline to past 5.0 :p

The difficulty is pretty subjective. I find it easier than Bloodborne due to the bigger windows.
