They really are. All so intense, especially the pressure you feel, knowing that if you die, you start the cycle over again and these bosses have great designs and represent their areas beautifully.
@@near8784 Phase 2 looks like the monster on the hospital bed aka. mother. Phase 1 looks like Hyperion's face when he actually faces you. Cause most of the time you see his back. Hyperion is said to be the father rarely mentioned in the game.

Bosses were absoluteIy amazing. e.x. loved the way Ixion pulled the sword out of his body in the 3rd phase, looked at Selene for a moment as if he wanted to say "I'm coming for you, you bitch", even more crazy music kicked in and I was like " f..ck, now I'm totally screwed... And I was indeed. ;) Absolutely briliant game. Thank you for uploading this.
Thanks for uploading the boss themes! Any chance you could get the normal battle tracks as well? Shameful display having none of them on the official soundtrack...
If i have to be honest, Hyperion is my absolute favorite boss fight which the game has to offer. But for how he's designed and themed, he wouldn't have worked as a final boss fight at all. Ophion was a bit underwhelming as a boss fight, but once you realize that you're literally fighting the personification of Selene trauma and fears it gets way much better.
I think nemesis was super over the top epic because it was thought to be the final obstacle in Selenes path to salvation there fore it was made to be an epic final boss, But Ophions dark battlefield gives off a sense of hopelessness and the ost for the fight resembles Selenes desperation to escape and I think that’s what makes Ophion a true final boss. This is also just my opinion.
I'm very conflicted about this game's bosses. I think them being primarily a bullet hell both benefits and hurts it. The bullet hell aspects are great, the patterns are amazing to both look at and avoid, but at the same time, I cannot deny how amazing it would be to have more 1 on 1 fights, with bosses that close the distance frequently and such. I mean you could still fire the particles at the players, but from *outside towards the boss and you* . I wonder if they thought that would be too hard? So far only the first two bosses get up close and personal, and even that's mild. I just can't erase the comparison from my mind to Bloodborne's bosses, and how those feel like an eloquent tango of aggression. Returnal feels like it in the levels, but not in the boss fights.
Man, the boss fights in this game were absolutely amazing.
Phenomenal game.

absolutely agree!! Let's play some)
So true
This game will be a timeless cult classic in the future.
I think so!
an oyster cult classic even ... because don't fear the rea- is this thing on??
"I have crossed light-years of torment. My answer is beneath you. Give it to me."
That moment you realize the bosses face in phase 3… is you.
Phrase 1 = Mother
Phrase 2 = Daughter
Phrase 3 = Selene
That would be my guess so I d say
Wait what. WHAT?

I'll see what I can do next time I play it.
damn...reminds me of Alessandro Cortini's reimagination of Bullet Train To Iowa
i was a little bit sad that this was the final boss and not something like Nemesis or Hyperion
You crazy this was better than Hyperion nemesis was better though

Nemesis is on a complete and utter different level versus the other boss counters.

Returnal is better than any FromSoft game in every way.
@@GreaserMan Lol.
fromsoft is overrated garbage
@@GreaserMan why pit two queens against each other
I think the bosses in Returnal are way to easy to beat. The last one should at least be like Maleina in ER, in ways of difficulty spike.
Bloody ads...

This track just blows. Needs to be mixed. Has those trance vibes. An intro to a festival by armin van buuren
