  • Canadian actor Leslie Nielsen talks to the Front Page Challenge panel about his life and how a late-career break let him show off his comic chops on the big screen.
    Did You Know?
    - Leslie Nielsen died on Nov. 28, 2010. He was 84 years old.
    - Nielsen had a long career as an actor, which he talks about during his appearance on Front Page Challenge.
    - During the latter part of his career, Nielsen played many deadpan comic roles -- including as Lieut. Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun movies, as well as Dr. Rumack in Airplane! -- for which he became very widely known.
    - He had a well-known brother, Erik Nielsen, an MP who served as Canada's deputy prime minister under Brian Mulroney. The brothers appeared togther on CBC Radio's Morningside in 1991. You can listen to that interview here: www.cbc.ca/archives/entry/lesl...

    His brother was the Vice Minister of Canada, both came a long ways from their humble beginnings-

    Pierre Berton had a lot of knowledge about Hollywood and acting, he did many celebrity interviews over the years. Leslie was an all-rounder, drama, comedy, great actor.

    Leslie nielsen did have a serious role in "creepshow" and was great in it. He was a great actor, sadly missed 😢

    This is the only interview of Leslie that I've seen so far where he doesn't use his fart toy, unless there's a part two.
