Every time I watch a lesson, I think "whoa, if I could just do THAT...I'd sound so cool!" Then you do something else just as cool the next time! You are an amazing resource Marty. Thanks so much for the lessons. I have a bunch of your DVDs but I always visit the site too.

Thanks Marty. Love the swinging feel you bring to these blues lessons. So often boogie lessons are taught with a 70s 'Rock/Blues' feel. You make it sound like 1950s R n B, Big Joe Turner or B.B. King. I'd love to see you teach a lesson on pre- Rock and Roll songs like Wine Spodee-o-dee by Sticks McGee, or maybe Western Swing, like Pistol Packin Mama by Al Dexter.

Trying to learn some blues, as a guitarist from other genres (metal) I found this very helpful. All the variations he did was using notes from the blues scale, so not only did I learn some cool rhythms but the knowledge to make my own. thanks

    Marty- you are DA MAN!
Now then, what is a cheap pedal for us to grab to do the looping trick for self accompaniment? I tend to learn much faster playing with someone, but guys aren't always available when I have time and desire to groove.

patrick its a boss looper rc 32 or somthin like that but a looper of any kind will allow you to tap it' play throught ur rhythm and tap it agin when u come back arond to ur root chord it will then play over and over that until u stop it' hope that helps my musical friend.

Hi marty, you probably won't see this, but i thought I'd ask anyways... I know you like to give the people what they want, so you don't always get to teach your favorite songs. But as one dead head to another... Franklin's Tower? the chords are pretty easy, but I'm struggling bending my ear around the strumming and licks. It'd be a nice beginner lesson! any hoo, keep up the good work dude.

Always great Marty! I've been now playing and watching your videos for 10 years now!! And also, it took me 10 years to get and discover my favorite guitar, which is my baby, a Fender American Special Telecaster w/ Texas Specials (Maple neck, Black/Ebony body, and just a single 1-ply black pickguard but man do I find it just so fancy)! It's still the best guitar for me that I've ever owned or played (not to sound bias, though the American Professional Elites are pretty wild too!). But thank you for influencing hundreds, if not thousands of new and aspiring musicians, I very much appriciate all of the content you've put out over and throughout the years, and keep it all up my sir! We're all behind you and keep rocking!✌🎸😸

Hey, Marty. Is there a difference between the major pentatonic scale and the major scale? The reason I ask is because I noticed that the major and minor pentatonic scales both have the same shape just on different frets. I have found a bunch of videos on youtube on the major scale that shows completely different shapes. I am a beginner and I am CONFUSED. Any help would be great. Thanks!
