Marty, you've taught me a TON since I found you on UA-cam. You've taken me from a very mediocre guitarist, to a "budding" guitarist. I've been playing for years, but once I sat down and studied your videos, I started figuring out these different techniques and can now improvise, play some lead and I'm pretty decent with rhythm. Really, thank you for your generosity man. You've helped thousands of people just like me. Much love from Tacoma Washington.
great job teaching ......was playing it in an hour .....thanks to you i have learned a lot ,,been playing guitar for 3 years now ...started late in life but getting better every day ...thanks to you and UA-cam...
Thanks marty got this down quick time. I was watching Billy G playing la grange and thought I should learn this song and 15mins later hey presto now ill have to learn the solo, theres no better way to spend a slightly hung over sunday morning than playin a little bit of blues on the old strat cheers.
Great lesson Marty! Thanks so much for breaking this one down. It has been one of my must learns, and you are a wonderful teacher. Great guitar and awesome tone going on too! Thanks again \m/
Thanks Marty, another great lesson! Have you done one on Blue Jean Blues by ZZ Top ? I would really like to see that too. I really appreciate what you do. Thanks man.

Hey man, first of all great video. Holy cow that Rocks!!! 2nd greetings from Germany and last but not least do I have to watch the link to learn the solo? Have a great Day/Week. Keep on rockin'
Please make a video on either So Far Away- Avenged Sevenfold or Snuff- Slipknot. Both are soft songs played by generally more aggressive metal bands. I think both could be very interesting. Please consider it, thanks!
marty, its getting to the point where i can already play these songs, and id love to learn some of the solos. i know you work hard already, but is there any chance you extend the videos a bit and include solos?
Hey there Marty I've been following you for awhile now. I wish you could make a acoustic lesson over the song courtesy red white and blue Artist: Toby Keith I've been looking all over I don't think you've made a lesson about it. I do enjoy that song dearly and so does my military buddies
Its a baked maple (best guess) or granadillo fingerboard so 2010-2012. 2013 tributes and studios went back to rosewood as the maple wasn't a hit with the traditionalists. It was necessary though as Gibson had been raided by the Justice Dept in 2009 and almost their entire stock of ebony and rosewood was seized as contraband. :)
Marty, you have some badass guitars, just wondering, since you seem to follow the Strat/LP profile for the artist you are showing, do you ever play an artist's licks and riffs with a guitar not the particular to what they use. An example, I see a lot of people doing Gilmour with a LP, and some nail it by their setup. I guess what I'd like to see you do in future lessons is use both or all styles of guitar to show the sound from each, using standard setup and same amp. Does that make any sense?
hey marty, is that a newer studio w/ the baked maple neck? i haven't played one yet how are they, i have a 2010 w/ the rosewood, pre-raid i guess we can call it!
