No, I’ve always been the same, INFP, over many years, using official and unofficial tests. But the first time, I did have the thought process you outlined regarding thought vs. feeling, resulting in some answers skewed more towards the T. I think that’s because we’re taught to value thinking more than feeling, even though feeling derived from intuition can often lead to a more reliable answer for those whose minds work that way. Straightforward reasoning is far from infallible, and can be directed by wrong motivations or be based on incorrect suppositions. As for introversion, I had the same question about myself recently: Was this lifelong preference simply a result of insecurity or social anxiety? I’ve discovered that I’m much more social than I had supposed. But I still score very high on introversion, because social interaction takes a lot of effort, and interior reflection is what brings back my mental energy. Great thoughts, as always! Thank you for this series.
Hi, I'm an ENFP with low self-esteem, lack of identity (BPD symptom), ADHD-I with probably undiagnosed autism which isn't severe enough to people care about but still cause difficulties. The way I realized I'm an ENFP not an INFP is the deeper understanding of the shadow functions. I realized that, I never really enjoyed activities alone, I love to connecting to people... I'm just bad at it. Being alone sucks, yet I'm hypersensitive so being around people is painful. Absolute hell, but still not an introvert.
I've been doing this tests dor quite a while, and always got the same results. ... but sometimes I behave different in some aspects due to my past marriage experience... so yes, I think I'm very consistent with my ENFP profile despite been some control freak right now... 😅
Thank you Svetlana for your question. I usually got INFP in free tests, once also as INTP. But ENFP all in all fits better. I value logic AND feelings. It depends on the situation. I have some university ecudation in science. A young relative who quite obviously is ISTJ tested as ISFJ because respecting all opinions i politically correct for her.
I wonder about this a lot, I sometimes test as a enfp and sometimes infp. Enfp when feeling better in life and infp when in a recovery phase where im kind of hiding away.
Do you sometimes get different results passing the MBTI test?
No, just the tiny percentage difference

I value feelings - a very obvious answer for me ;)
Great topic. I kept getting ENFP no matter how I felt. When I start sinking I recognize I haven’t been social.
Same. I'm always INFP
That's true. I was dealing with anxiety and panic attack. Of course I tested as infp, but to be honest I'm enfp
