This is the brand new modding method from Lauriethefish! MBF (Mods Before Friday) is an in browser modding and downgrade method that works on Computers and Android phones. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with IOS due to Apple restricting browser permissions.

I had to completely restart on my mods for Beat Saber and finding this saved me so much extra suffering. Its so much simpler than anything else I've done. Thanks for sharing.

Download the graphics tweaks mod and crank resolution up to 2.0, looks so good!

So those mods should show up on MBF, if they don't, then you can just download the mod files from that link, then reconnect to MBF and use the upload mods & songs button and search for the file. I haven't actually done that process myself yet, but I believe that's what you will have to do if they're not showing in MBF yet
Lauriethefish (the developer) noticed the issue in my video and has now updated the error message to show if you have previously modded with QP then you need to reinstall Beat Saber. So your error message will look slightly different to the one shown here
too bad this doesnt have chroma and noodle extension mods. or a mod to change sounds. Once those get added this will be so good as it was super easy!
Couldn't agree more! Chroma and hitsounds are probably the main mods I have a very hard time living without. Playing with default sound throws me off so much now 😭
@@on-quest I made the mistake of uninstalling my game without realizing they weren't available on 1.36 or even 1.35, and now I'm so sad because ALL the maps that I loved to play all needed noodle and chroma 😫😫. I pray they get them quick. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Is there a way to get custom sabers or download saber factory?
At the moment, Reesabers is the only custom Saber mod, you need to subscribe to their Patreon to download it though

You can use QP and QAVS still I think, but you need to download the latest versions of those apps and you need to patch using QP first selecting Scotland2 mod loader, then use QAVS to downgrade, then use QP to add mods. I haven't gone through this myself, but that's what I've read.
Do you mean your old mods? Or the new ones you've selected in MBF?
Does anyone know how to install sabers to it? Whenever I do it it says mod not found when I download the swords

I haven't tried it on phone yet so it may take a little longer than PC. How long has it been stuck for? Also just to check, you're not trying to do it on IOS?
@@on-quest no i did it on Android but it was stuck on the screen for 20 minutes
I would guess that 20min is too long. Maybe reset everything and try again. Alternatively ask over on BSMG Discord for help, because this method is very new to me

Hey mate thanks for your videos. I've been at this for a few hours in total and have just realized that it's not possible at the moment. I'm trying to install beattogether on quest but it doesn't support any version other than 1.28 :( So since I am unable to downgrade to 1.28 I will have to wait for the beattogether development team to upgrade their app is that right? Thanks
You might still be able to get to 1.28 using this old method: ua-cam.com/video/8MRUGmwi8Ls/v-deo.html but if that doesn't work then yeah you'll just have to wait for it to be updated to work with 1.35

This should work, go to this site: computerelite.github.io/tools/Beat_Saber/questmods.html
Download the mods you want, then click add mod and navigate to the file you downloaded.
My favorite mod (Qavatar) is not up to 1.35 yet, and I miss vanilla multiplayer. Are there any utilities out there yet similar to QAVS ?

They haven't been updated to 1.35 yet I'm afraid. Hopefully we don't have to wait too much longer!

my laptop gets stuck on checking beat saber installation for some reason idk why. it's been stuck there for 20 minutes or so
Do you have a slow Internet connection? I read that can make things take longer to complete.

I’ve been searching for tutorials for the past few days and I’ve seen some where you have to download the songs one by one/ by playlist

Yes that's correct. You look to your left and can search for more songs and add them in game
It appears I can’t play my DLC songs on beat saber after modding. It gives me a message saying “error loading data.” Any way to fix this?
As far as I'm aware, you can't play DLC songs if they were released after the version you're modding on. If it's old DLC songs then I'm not sure

This is for the standalone Quest 2, 3 and Pro, not the PC versions
Is there's a way to transfer custom songs from quest 2 to my quest 3?
Not that I know of unless it's possible to copy the song folder across using a PC, although I've never looked into that so unsure if it's possible

Make sure developer mode is enabled, try different USB port and or cable. That's all I can think of to suggest

This doesn't use BMBF? This is a new method for modding. BMBF is now considered legacy so is probably not going to be used anymore.

Sorry I totally missed your comment! No you never lose songs, they're stored in a separate folder so whenever you update or change modding methods, they remain 😄

I have saved songs from a previous modded version of Beat Saber in a file on my computer. Is there a way to upload these songs?
Not sure tbh, you could possibly use SideQuest to find the folder they go in and drop them in there, but I've never looked for it myself. If you ask over on the BSMG Discord someone there will probably have more info on how to do it
Im still on an old version, i need to follow this. But do you know why some songs download broken? After downloading its either missing or wont start playing, and you cant redownload it even after you deleted it from beat saber. Also, will I lose all my songs if i move onto this instead of bmbf?
It's probably because those songs are noodle or ME maps, they should be available once the mods are available again for this version
What about the Quest 1. I followed it and it says quest 1 not supported
Quest 1 won't be supported anymore with the new mod loader from what I've read I'm afraid :(
@@on-quest Found another way, just download an APK of 1.20 online and side load it on to the quest. Then simply use BMBF to do the rest. Thanks for the response!

What do you mean by kill the mod? You mean remove the mod? You'll need to uninstall and reinstall Beat Saber if you want to go back to the non modded official version.

Can someone help me? I dunno why I can’t make it read my Quest 3! I’ve tried on two PCs and an Android phone, on Chrome and Edge, both updated, but it always tells me that there are no devices connected. Obviously, I have enabled developer options, connected the headset with the original cable, and granted USB access… NOTHING!!! The site doesn’t recognize the Quest 🙂↕️
When I try MBF it tells me my quest is not connected to internet but it actually is. Is there a reason for this?

If you have access to an Android phone, you can use that for this method
When I click to connect my quest it didn’t show up and it saids no compatible devices found I’m on quest 2

@sayayinakefla7901 have you tried restarting your Quest and Laptop? Use a different cable and USB port? Make sure anything like QuestPatcher isn't still installed on your laptop as well

Yeah those are the available mods atm. I don't know when anything is being released I'm afraid, hopefully not much longer though, I'm still waiting for Chroma and Hitsounds

Once you get in game look to your left, there should be a more songs button or something like that. There you can search for songs :D

Amazing! I love how they separated menu resolution to map resolution. Can set menu to 2 times and it looks crystal clear. In maps I think I have it set to 1.5.

Yeah, you have to use a PC as part of the process atm for downgrading. As far as I can tell, MBF will only downgrade to the latest version.

I've deleted side quest and quest patcher off my computer and I've tried restarting my computer several times but it still won't let me connect to quest.
Do you have developer mode enabled? Also, try a different cable or USB port. Also make sure you're allowing USB debugging inside the headset when you connect

Developer mode should be an option on the app on your phone. You also want to allow debug mode as well
@@on-questI figured out that I actually probably had developer mode on before. I also turned it on in the headset but MBF still won't connect to my quest 2.

Does this still work? Is latest update still 36? Also on the end menu after installing, if you leave that page can you comeback to it later to install mods from there, like do browser remember, also is this method safe? Like allowing this site to connect to you k ow your device... can they access smtn etc..
EDIT: just did it and can confirm it works flawlessly.
There's no mods for 1.36 atm, it will downgrade you to 1.35. Yeah you can just reconnect and come back to install more mods, you don't have to leave the page open forever. Perfectly safe, it's no different to other methods in that regard
@@on-quest what about auto-update, does beat saber stop updating? If it auto update will mod be broken?
It doesn't auto update for me, it only updates if I choose to update it. Is yours auto updating? There's probably an option to turn it off if so, mine has never auto updated in the past few years so didn't even know that was a thing haha
@@on-quest yes all apps on my quest 3 auto update but i didn't install any mods yet, can i disable auto update for beat saber only? Because i don't want other apps to stop auto-updating
@World.21 it's possible you can do it just for Beat Saber, you'll have to have a look around in the settings and see. I'm still on Q2 so I'm not sure if the settings are the same or not
does it downgrade to 1.28?
As I mentioned in the video, it looks like it will only auto downgrade to the latest moddable version. Since 1.28 is on the old mod loader, I don't think anyone is going to focus on that anymore.

As you saw in the video, there is no option to downgrade further, so I would say that's pretty solid confirmation that you can't go down to 1.28.

Hello, great video, thanks for sharing it.
I have modified version 1.28 and it keeps crashing. At most it lasts 3-4 songs without closing. It's probably because of the mods (chroma, noodle extensions and a couple more). With this new way of patching, does the game continue to crash every so often?
This new version should be much more stable. If you have Qosmetics installed on 1.28 that's probably what's crashing your game btw
@@on-quest Having the sword with the trail of PC's Beat Saber, gives a lot visual charm. It's the only cosmetic I use, but I guess that could be the problem. I wish there was the possibility of using it in 1.35 along with Chroma and perhaps Noodle Ext. The rest of the mods really don't matter to me.
@IvanRP_ they'll come to 1.35 soon enough, just have to be patient. There's also Reesabers if you wanted to check that out, I use that instead of Qosmetics but you have to subscribe to their patreon and it hasn't been updated to 1.35 yet either. Look through my earlier videos and you'll find a Reesabers demo, it's a lot more stable than Qosmetics

@jachii196 all the mods on that page should be the available mods, but if one hasn't been added you can download the file and select add mod then search for the file

I don't know anything about which mods will be updated or not I'm afraid. I know a lot of people are using BeatLeader now and that's already been added, so you might want to switch to that instead?

Is that a message you're getting? Do you have developer mode enabled? I've never seen that message, but I'm assuming it's something you would see if you don't have developer mode enabled
Hi I’m new to modding and I’ve tried to find the replay mod and some websites says beatleader has it. I have logged on beatleader, but I just can’t find the replay function. Do you happen to know anything about it?
I can help you :) so at the moment Replay hasn't been updated to work with the latest moddable version. When it is updated, you will also need BeatLeader for Replay to function, as it uses your BeatLeader score to generate the replay

Does it make sense to switch from Bmbf to a new method right now?
If you have all the mods you want installed already, I would maybe stay with it for a while until more mods come out. But going forward, BMBF is considered legacy, so it will become outdated and probably won't be developed for anymore.

BMBF isn't working for anything anymore, it's now considered legacy and probably isn't going to be used again unless they rebuild it from scratch. Your options are MBF or QP

@SuperShadow7114 PC or Android is the only way with this method. Other older methods are PC only. If you can find a friend or family member with a laptop or android phone, maybe they will let you borrow their device to let you mod your game?

No. This is a free method to mod stand alone Beat Saber on the Quest. It has nothing to do with the PC version of Beat Saber

You need to buy the Quest version on the headset. Not the steam version on PC
