I'm extremely happy with this card, i was thinking about getting an Rx 6800 or RTX 3070 but I found a 2nd handed 3080 for around 330 USD last year and I don't regret it, what an incredible card!
When everyone was paying $1200, or more, for the 3080s in 2021, I managed to snag one at MSRP when the Founders Edition cards got restocked on my Nvidia store... one lucky timed day 😊
Yeah, the pricing during mining craze was ridicilous in late 2020/early 2021. In that period of time, I remember my 3080 was at 3000-3500$ in my country (Ukraine) with very low availability. I managed to snag one in late September 2020 at MSRP (750$ for this particular model).
I managed to get myself a 3080TI FE for 45,000 INR, MSRP was 1,06,000 INR with 1.5yrs of warranty it was a brand new RMA replacement card, so yeah got really lucky. I am happy with my card, upgraded from GTX 970, easily get 90-120FPS on 1440p on most games with DLSS and FG mod. As long as it can run GTA 6 and upcoming Witcher 4 ill be happy
@@KamilWyszynski-y3p not even CP2077 with PT + FG breaks 12GB on the 4070. Also you know you can change texture settings from ultra to high instead of lowering the resolution, right?
@@barlevi5683 It is not exactly minor bump and also double the price is an exaggeration. For example when you need serious horsepower at 4k ultra plus the extra vram when a 3080 scores 50 fps then the 3080 ti can score 60 or even more especially if it is tweaked. In general 3080 is like a 4070 and 3080 ti is like a 4070 super so i believe the bump is not so minor. No big difference but definitely noticeable
@RTX4080SUPERGAMING if you're using dlss or FSR you can pretty much play any game at 4K max settings without ray tracing enabled on the 3080 10GB. The 3080 ti is horrible price to performance.

Yeah I believe the 10700k is a bit faster than the 5600. By the way if you don't mind me asking, how's the system like? Im a little sketchy about a 5600 with a 3080 at 1440p but I already ordered the 5600. Do you notice any bottlenecks at 1440p with DLSS quality?
Great 1440p card now. It was absolute 4k gpu back then but now does the job at 1440p. Not like you can't play at 4k at all, just that you'd have to turn settings down by notch and use DLSS, this way you're good to go, also makes sense.
bought my tuf for 1300€ /1600$ after my 3060 broke, im still happy despite the high price at that time i will use it till 5080 release is at around 800-1000 € price range, quitest card i ever hard, runs at 900v /undervolted from 980 at 1950 instead of 1875 mhz,, absolute beast

El problema no es de la gráfica sino que los juegos salen cada vez peor optimizados y hacen que hoy día precises del frame generation para poder jugar en 4k y con dlss activado . Rinde igual que una 4070 Pero sin frame generation .
If only they fixed the terrible anti-aliasing. Native resolution looks too blurry (typical TAA) and the DLSS implementation is too pixelated and leaves out detail. And then if you turn off both DLSS and TAA and only turn FXAA on it starts flickering everywhere
It's CPU bottleneck. When CPU cannot push frames you will see lower GPU usage and similar framerste with increased resolution. Best example is Space Marine 2.
The 3080 is a crap card i bought one under the impression it was a 4k gaming card like they said it was. Only 10 gb of vram can't do ray tracing in 4k maxed out in games why i bought the card in the first place to game in 4k with ray tracing. This card is a 1440p maxed out with blurry visuals if you want ray tracing in older games why i don't play any new games anymore. The true 4k maxed out with ray tracing is the 4090 and i can't afford that gpu now maybe back then if i didn't bought a new pc and just waited but that's how they announced this 3080 when it came out all they did was over hyped it and i fell for it then we had the 3080 ti with 12gb vram and the 3090 and even that was a big con as well it can't even play new games today maxed out 4k raytracing lol.
@@JohnnyBg2905 What i was trying to say even back then it wasn't that good for 4k games even shadow of the tomb raider max out with ray tracing dips into the 45fps in places and feels so laggy to play. Even unreal tournaments 3 black edition feels so laggy it used to feel so much better when i had windows vista and didnt feel laggy on my mouse like it does now on my 3080 getting over 300f ps play feels so bad to play

Got a used Evga 3080 for 300 euro last spring. Really happy with performance and having snatched a EVGA relic!

This card is amazing, even the toughest games can use Ultra performance and FSR FG tweak with DLSS and looks good enough for me

@dagamerturtle you can update the DLSS to the latest version and it fixes that.
same card with 5700x3d , everything is running smooth at 60 fps dlss ( not a fps competitive gamer) , not changing it until 5070 at least

If AMD added a frame generator to most AAA games, I think the RTX 3080 should be able to handle 4K, only the VRAM might not be able to handle it
