if you were to compare this gpu to something like cars, the A6000 is like a big diesel truck, and the 4090 is a fast sports car. Both are really strong, one more than the other, but they put the power down differently.
0:57 More VRAM doesn't make rendering faster so much as it makes it _possible._ 4090s actually render faster than the professional cards, but when you're at the level where you need >24GB of VRAM, the performance difference is negligible. If your scene exceeds the VRAM capacity of your card, you're SoL. No GPU render. It's not about speed.
"we struggle to even hit 900 fps" me playing on a 2014 office laptop on lowest settings, 25% render quality, and way too many optimizations struggling to get 30 fps in 720p
the bright side of this kind of situation is that it doesn't matter how cheap or tiny your next upgrade is: it will feel as an Interstellar jump in performance.
One thing you have to remember for your next project this will save you a lot of headaches is that the game engine has to support it if it doesn't it won't work.

Hey man great video. What about getting the cheapest pc u can find and try to optimize it as much as possible? Also if u can u could include some tests with older version of windows, like windows 7 or even linux😊
Linux is amazing on cheap pcs however the support is a big problem, linux now supports 90 percent of steam games but fortnite isnt available for linux if u wanted to see it perform in fortnite
@@yokingboii I think you can play Fortnite with a program called wine or something like that I don't know how exactly works but I heard some people saying that is actually pretty good
@@Vladd_8 nah i use alot of linux and wine doesnt work for fortnite, other approaches like proton dont work either cause fortnite has a kernel level anti cheat which makes it impossible for fortnite to run on linux unless epic games allows it
the main reason why the A6000, or any of the workstation GPUs are so expensive, is because NVidia ***very*** strictly regulates every part of the production process of these cards and they require much more certifications than a consumer GPU would, hiking up the price immensely. These cards are not made to be top performers, but instead are made to be as stable as possible to reduce downtime and reduce data and / or progress loss whilst a consumer GPU is made moreso to be as fast as it can, without requiring the same extreme stability and the certifications the RTX A series, or the ADA series needs.
No, not really. They all come from the same batches and since workstation GPUs aren't clocked as high as gaming variants, there's no reason for them to pick the best bins. The reason why they charge premium prices is because of much larger VRAM, higher quality memory and some few workstation-oriented features like ECC and better drivers for passive rendering. The "certifications" are only for marketing. Workstation GPUs are still way overpriced despite those advantages.
You should try using older versions of Windows! They might be a security risk, but they are absolutely worth it. They free up a ton of processing power. You don't need to go far back either. If you go back to old versions of Windows 10 like Redstone 5 or 19H1, the software and kernel will be new enough to function. You can go back even further back Windows 10 Threshold, or even Windows 8&7, if you know how to Google error codes.
Hey, I know that you have the regular A6000. But there actually is a newer A6000 with the byname ADA which is based on the 40 series ADA Lovelace architetecture and its much much newer and quite a bit better. Sometimes this was not clear and it sounds like you did not know that and i think you sometimes confused information between the two! They both go by the name A6000 on some sites. But nice video!
Try a 7900 XTX/4090 next. But I think at that point you'd be cpu bound, and the best cpu you could get would be the 7800X3D. So basically upgrade your motherboard, ram, gpu, and cpu just to maybe get 1200 fps. Both GPUs could hit 1200.
RTX A6000 is an Ampere Microarchitecture as in RTX 3090, that's why it's so similar. RTX 6000 Ada Generation works on Ada Lovelace microarchitecture as in RTX 4090. RTX A6000 is even on the same chip as RTX 3090
Bro, these A4000 5000 6000 are business cards. Purpose of these is to run applications where graphics is needed or having this on server and clients use its resources. The cards we see generally are 3060 4060 4070 etc are only aimed at gaming(or photoshop, video editing etc)
