The game is available on PC, you can find it on my website, mytruckingskil...
It can be played with any type of controller.

This Trucking Game may not be a view from inside the cab, but it's the most realistic physics that a truck makes where you get to understand how to truck operates in reverse. American Truck Simulator (ATS)and European Trucking Simulator 2 (ETS2) are the best trucking games that you get, and I recommend that you play them, but my game is created for people to just get used to reversing a trailer.
I have heard from so many users that truck schools across the country use my game and use my videos to show their students how to back up.

Thank you mate. I have been driving here in UK for almost a year now. But some time I come to close to the trailer on my driving side. Your advice that trailer should not point towards space you going in sort my problem big time. Thank you so much. You are a legend

Another great video. I’d park a trailer if I had too but I don’t like parking at tight truck stops like that.
All I think about is the careless ones hitting me backing in and leaving their own spots next to me. Lol

  • @nsort3009

The biggest lesson I took from this is that sometimes you just cannot make it in a spot regardless of how good you are. An important lesson.
Explains why I see $300k super sleepers making spots on the curb.

I think a lot of truck backing accidents could be avoided if someone would just admit that they struggle with the skill. And, have videos like these to help grasp the concept. Not to mention patients and compassion from vetaran drivers to help. As opposed to making fun and calling names. Because I am sure every driver starting out struggled at some point.
That is why videos like these are needed and highly appreciated.

Haven't tried this but your videos are awesome. Very informative thank you. This may help my truck stop parking. dock parking is not so bad its truck stop parking I dread but I dont do much of that because I team anyway. If I ever have to go solo your videos will help me out. I've done tight parking before though just not much. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Thanks for introducing the tires or the wheels view, it was confusing in the beginning of the video , but after a few minutes I figured out how it works, now It's very helpful to know when and how many degrees you are turning, thanks also for adding the lines over the trucks, it helps showing the angle of the bend, thanks for making trucking more fun, and less terrifying.

Another great video. I know everyone appreciates you. Your a great teacher and your videos are right on. You have aerial, mirror and tire views as what people need. Too many put videos up and show partial if that of what they are doing. Then they back into the spit and they are like “there”. Lol 🤦‍♂️
It’s like in no way did you say why and when they turn their tires and at what position they did so.
I mean you get it of course with your detail. People need steps broken down like your videos show. Good job brother. 👍👍👍

That is actually very good advice when you said don’t be afraid to ask someone for help. There are many ways you can get help. If it is one single dock at a customer, Go inside and ask what the other trucks do. They may tell you to slide your axles all the way back, for example. If you have the room in the front this will make it so much easier

Exactly what I was going to ask lol since I had a similar backing situation, I had a pick up in LA and this facility has trailers parked parallel in front of the docks, similar to the imaginary fence in the video. The facility gave me a dock where there was a truck on my left side but right side had a trailer, no matter what I tried, I couldn’t get it in lol yard dog had to move the truck on my left side. Funny thing is I’m pretty sure 2 other drivers were talking smack about me when they saw me back but they had the same situation as me lol couldn’t get it in due to the parked trailers up front and trucks on both sides. Horrible

We all been there ,in time you'll get better !! ..never miss an opportunity to practice your backing up ,it's all about practice ..the more you practice the more confidence you build !..remember :a good backing starts with a good setup !..people will come out to help you if you need assistance, there's alot of good truckers outhere!!

    • @jeeprider9975
      @jeeprider9975 4 роки тому +4

It takes time to be proficient at backing up ,keep on practicing!
You probably see those guys at the truck stop backing up in one shot and you say oh man those guys are good ...they weren't so good 20 something years ago when they started. I've been in my early days to some companies in California with really small yards and I used to watch the other more experienced drivers backing up ...watch and learn.. it's free!
..a good back up start with a good set up , assess the situation and come up with a setup ...one more thing :don't let the other drivers put pressure on you. Take your time , make them wait , if you hit something you'll be the one to answer to your boss not them .

I wish I would have viewed this last Thursday when I only had 5 inches of space between the front of my tractor and a 6 ft high concrete wall. That dock was made for day cabs, not for sleepers. I got it in there after 11 GOALs, 30 minutes of finessing, three gallons of sweat and tears, and enough cursing to make my grandma slap me into next week.

  • @proudcanadian9816

Great tutorial for a tight backup. I'm still struggling with backing up and thinking in opposite terms with regard to the steering wheel. I mentioned in one of your other videos that I just finished attending a transport training school but I was not successful at passing my road test. There were a number of things that happened that day but suffice it to say I BOMBED my backup......BADLY !!! But I'm really struggling with this task but I'm determined to learn this. I AM not, and WILL not give up.
    .
I'm waiting for the school to get the second date booked for me, so until they do, I'm keeping up on my schedule 1 stuff, the air brakes testing procedures, and trying to learn how to use a log book and stuff. I decided to book a one on one with an instructor at the school that I will get as close to test day as possible. It's really expensive [over $600 cdn] but I have no choice. If I don't get help on backing up, I will NOT pass. It's that simple. . . my backing up is THAT bad, it's almost embarrassing. There is NO hope in hell of me passing without sorting out some mental blocks that's keeping me from getting this.
    .
Anyway, I've taken up enough of your time. . . my problem. Your videos really are helping me understand this. I guess the only way to know if anything is sinking in is on the day I have the one on one. If you're interested, I'll keep you in the loop. If not, I get it, you have a family and a life. NO bigs man.
    Cheers man,
    Mike

This helps alot. Been at the railyards in and out and been trying different ways to setup. The rear axle center really helps also when exiting on tight spots . When the rear axles are about the pass the side trailers or when theyre next to them u can turn coming out and the rear trailer will follow without hitting.

It's gotta be either roomy in the front or barely roomy on the sides , average truck stop space from yellow line to yellow line is 12 ft or 13 ft wide when close to one line You are gonna have around 4 ft or 5 ft before hitting the other side but you have to get out and look always when you have a dangerous angle at the rear of the trailer , You did it like a pro' almost at once! Good job Driver!

    • @MyTruckingSkills
      @MyTruckingSkills  5 років тому

Nope, it would not have. But I like where you head is. In some cases it would not, this is one of the few times it would be impossible. One of the reasons I made this video. It just wouldn't fit. I experimented with the same space trying to pull out of the space with the axles to the rear, and I needed more room. In a small area you need to axles forward. I'm sure you are a great driver, but this is something I have proved over and over again to people. It's best too get out and look at the over hang then have no swing. But thanks for the comment. 17 years driving mostly local.

However, I been practicing but still not good, some people has guided me in and told me to jack knife (hard right) to get it in then pull forward and go back and vice versa. But here I noticed your chasing the trailer with hard left, is it because your already at a 45 degree angle? I tried this at a shipper and the truck on my blind aide honked at me, I even got out and look and I was a little confused lol.

If you watch the tandems when it was backing in the tandems were sliding to the left and to the right I need a trailer like that.

I would have liked too see that manoeuvre in an actually tight yard. From the other way blind side too would be properly cool

i was driving in the bay area 35 stops a day with a 45ft trailer 90% were all back in stops. timing the cut off of 4 lanes of traffic in SF into a alley was by far the best part of my day. people were amazed how fast i got the truck docked .
your videos are great keep em coming

    You asked so.... (respectfully)
No, dont like steer in wheel view.
    Busy and confusing.
Much more informative and understandable would be for you to illustrate them in the same way you do when you draw in the tandems. That way we can see cab movement in relation to tire angle. More work for you, sorry, but muck more clear.
Thanks again for all you do.

Failed this at the Pilot on Trollingwood in NC. VERY appropriate name for this place. It seems like the aisle is only about 60' wide. I couldn't for the life of me get the trailer where I wanted it with the right angle. I gave up when everyone came out to help, didn't feel like being the night's entertainment. I'm glad I don't have a CB...

Oh no. Hang in there!! It gets better and easier. But it is scary when there are so many trucks around.

Hi Dave, I want to let you know that you gotta change the site in your description as this mytruckingskills.com if you start it with www it says this site can not be reached, I advise you to add a link for paypal donation to the description box, it's more simple and fast than visiting a site, also please make the site adress solid in your videos, it keeps moving and dancing like a snake and reduce my focus a little bit.
