That dude walking around in front of you had no clue. LOL You handled it well and did the best you could without getting in HIS way because clearly, he was on a mission.
Dude, PLEASE , no need to ask us [the ones that want to learn like me] to stick around. I actually enjoy watching this stuff, all the details, the intricate stuff. I LIVE for this type of info man. Please keep going :)
I've been training drivers for years and technology such as drones, cameras, editing capabilities has taken training and explaining to a whole new level. Monitoring once comprehending is another step in the holy grail of developing a safe, more intelligent, productive driver. Drone footage like this would be a great training tool and documentation tool in my arsenal of training aids and tools. How long can your camera stay afloat and how much do you have invested?
The drone stays up for around 15 mins. I have spent around $7k on hardware. I pay$100 a month to use the editing software. Very professional stuff going on here. Thx for your comment.
24 years in the industry, this is an excellent perspective. Two key take aways: 1) [Short] Minimize trailer tandems "shallow" approach. Aim trailer tandems closer to nearest parked trailer obstacle. 2) [Long] With a "shallow" approach, the trailer swing "deep" is also minimized.
This channel deserves a million subscribers, this driver is the best, so much time and skill in all his videos, definitely a great help to both rookies and seasoned professionals
Damn good video! It’s actually genius to toss your drone up to watch. Being able to look at the phone screen or tablet screen at your blind corner from above is incredibly HELPFUL. To know you’re ok to push back/reverse a little further when normally we would be puckering a bit wondering how the blind corner is doing against the other trailer, wow 🤩, 👌👍. Any drivers watching this I GUARANTEE will seriously be considering purchasing a good drone to do exactly what you have done. Very very good demonstration and very cool learning video.
I'm new to trucking and your videos help me a great deal to understand how an experienced driver approaches the challenging back-up. The effort you put into the different camera views is a huge help. Thanks a million!
Thank you so much brother for showing this video(s) on how it's truly done and for the simple affordable game to practice with. You have put so much into the videos and game for all of us newbies. Your teaching is bang-on as well.
Thank you for these videos! I’ve been driving for three months and my lead driver never hardly trained me in any backing! These videos helped me so much! God bless you sir! 👍
Hey. I'm a former May driver/mentor (MTBR-DM: Margaret) and last year became a CDL instructor in Lacey, WA at CDS Commercial Driver School. I just want to thank you for making these videos. I will be directing my students to them going forward (or backward LOL). I especially appreciate that you use the wording you use as it matches exactly what we teach here. If you're ever at the Flying J off Exit 99, let me know. I'd be honored to meet you and introduce my students. Thanks again.
I am just about to go into a training with a truck and company and I've been watching your videos and I think your videos are amazing thank you very much I am not as afraid as I was when I first knew that I was going into Trucking.
Great videos ! I have 14 years of driving experience. YOU NEW DRIVERS needs to watch and learn. These are some really great tips. And I promise that this Costco facility is EASY. Walmart has places where if you swing your doors open, before backing in, your trailer doors will touch the next trailer as you back in. And the guy next to you with $10,000.00 worth of chrome will be PISSED if you hit his Tractor while backing up...rightfully so. TIME. take it. It's important to get into the door at the required time, but make sure that the area your backing into is done safely, everyone wants to go home at night, including the dock workers not paying attention /w headphones in his ears. Sometimes if you know that your gonna need help....ASK FOR IT. We have all been in that same seat, you are in right now. And trust me, we all need help some of the times. Don't let the gray beards fool you, we have ALL been there. Just don't ask someone from Swift.....Just joking. :) Love you, Swift guys ! OH !!! SLOW DOWN IN BAD Weather. No load is that important, REGARDLESS of what a dispatcher will tell you, They can always reschedule a load, not your life if your in a accident. Keep all 18 on the ground, and watch out for D.O.T. ! AND don't make your dispatchers mad.....They always think their jobs are tough, while being home every night. LOL !!!
Keep doing what you’re doing, I became a better trucker due to your videos, I hope trucking driving schools should play your videos in between classes breaks to give students clues .............Awesome!
Great video! I've been in trucking over 25 years. I think most importantly is the initial set up before you start backing. The next thing is patience because there's always that cleaning guy etc.
Thanks for the video bro glad you video appeared in my feed been driving for about a year, and backing is still tricky but you video help me focus my attention on different things, thank you sir
What you do is of great value to me right now as I am about to have my final evaluation in order to obtain my official class 1 permit next week🙌🏻 Thank you for your help…your videos are the best! I am sharing with my group!
Thank you for your guidance and the effort you put into these videos. I have learned so much from you sharing your technical skills that are only glanced over in driving school. I did prefer this latest format, the quick full view followed by deeper explanation . Keep it up. 🚛👍
Your videos are so well done & a actual god send!!! Im a new driver & im learning more watching your videos than i did in trucking school & with my mentor combined.
i've had to do some tight backing lately that i definitely would not have been able to do without some of the tips i've learned from your videos keep up the great work man
Great video! With great value! You are a great teacher with all angles covered. I have learned alot from your videos and continue to do so. Thank you brother and God bless you in all you do! Much appreciated!
I am just training to get my Class 1 License, I must say your videos are very fun to watch. BTW your Truck training Skills App was very helpful too. I am now getting straight 9's in my Backing training. Thanks
This is extraordinary. Thank you so much for this. I just started doing my edlt online training (my job offers it) before going to trucking school so your videos help put aside my nerves 😅
WOW..great job, impressive new creative animations , I like the formula of this visual presentation, and that you aware of the mobile limitations, thanks for catering to all the gadjets and learning levels 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I struggled just to put an empty in the very first spot in Gary,IN. the other night. I haven't been on the road in a year I gotta get used to it again I'm already doing way better though.
Great job man! One thing some drivers forget. Here’s a tip @5:35 I see that ur hard chasing the trailer. Next time once ur at that angle, try to straighten the steers, back up, then a half/full turn right if needed, then you’ll know when to follow trailer again ... then next time you won’t have to reset like @6:18.... this has helped me at tighter space using spread axle.
Juancho Albano I was thinking the same thing but if you keep it straight I believe the trailer will over shoot and it would be harder to correct once inside the hole no?
Frank Tran if the trailer over shoot to the driver side means you chase the trailer too late, to correct it, undo what you just did and start chasing the trailer early, with slight adjustment turning to the right as needed or if there’s a wall/fence that could possibly hit.
The 2nd lockdown just started in United Kingdom, I'm after 1st week at work doing c+e so now I'm on Furlough and definitely your movies will be my everyday studies 👌🏻 great approach buddy
you slide your tandems ? its a tricky one for sure,BUT i think i would have blind sided that one for a few extra feet...plus you would have more swing room on your trailer. IT was a perfect back up IMO.the camera work was what really impressed me ,great job.these companies that think 1 foot is loads of room UGH!
Como siempre excelente videos y explicaciones para nosotros los nuevos drivers .like always a perfect video and explanations for us the new drivers.thanks
What a crazy amount if quality really awesome. I think the only thing I'd do different is just keep going further down more straight that way you can jackknife it a little more easier that way you won't be too too close to the wall the only issue with my idea is the timing since everything is based on when you turn the steering wheel with not much room to correct
@@MyTruckingSkills yes ! It's nice having a different perspective other than me trying to figure out myself Some of the videos that you had put out I actually had to back into So yeah thank you
I just wish one day you will get yourself into B-Train and make a video of it us, lots of jobs out there for B-train but nobody comes out of driving school with B-train experience.
Great educational videos and your'e great teaching up people like me that i new in this industry...awesome I like your channel and support you'' BIG THANKS'' from South Carolina.
Very nice video..you make it look easy bro.....but it helps us learn and see how it works on different views ..the cleaning guy looks like is doing that on purpose lol.....have a great day
It’s the danger of getting use to how close you gotta be sometimes without true vision I hate getting near other trailers without being able to see them that’s what makes it tuff that and never really having the spade I need
That dude walking around in front of you had no clue. LOL You handled it well and did the best you could without getting in HIS way because clearly, he was on a mission.
Some people just have absolutely almost not situational awareness. He clearly has no consideration for anyone else but himself.
That guy was pissin me off!
This is the best system of teaching I’ve ever seen. Thanks!
Depends on the Costco location. The ones I've delivered to in Florida has been a straight backs.
Your Tractor-trailer skills are second only to your ability to set up and convey these instructional videos. Great job!
Thanks for the helping out rookies like me. Really appreciated your hard work🙏🙏🙏🙏
