  • This is the much overdue running footage video that shows the truck with all of the upgrades. As you can see from the video, the crawling capabilities of this truck are much improved. The video doesn't convey just how well this truck crawled out on the rocks. I had my Gen7 with portal axles on the same rocks, and in almost all cases, the 10428B was able to go more places than the Gen7 was.
The truck did end up burning up the Hobbyking X-Car brushed ESC that I used in the previous video, and currently has an inexpensive Racerstar in its place. The Racerstar is getting very hot and is going to need to be replaced soon, this time with a proper Hobbywing ESC. Aside from that ESC, the truck is 100% identical to what was seen in Video 6. The 3D printed parts are holding up beautifully!

I’m still on the fence about getting this rig, I mean it would be cool to mess around with n when my 5yr old niece comes over she could use this instead of my expensive rigs. The video u did makes it look really cool, great job on it brotha 👍😎

Hey guys question. Does anyone know the specifications on the stock screws on the 12428 platform? Im looking to swap out all hardware to hex machine screws. Thanks to everyone in advance.

    Nice build you've got there.
I see those things go fast out of the box, are the suspension arms flexible enough to take a beating? If it the same plastic thats used in the 12428, it should not have problems.

I haven't broken anything yet, so I would say they're OK!

This rig is more like a Yeti than a Bomber, seems it would fare better on different terrain. I don't think it makes a good crawler. Nice video though :)

It's all a matter of perspective. It's the best $250 crawler I've ever seen. Is the IFS and tub chassis ideal? No, but the truck could do lines that my portal-equipped Gen7 couldn't do.
