Just got mine haven't really drove it besides punching it inside the house, gonna drive today, from my understanding the v2 has a blue motor mount, mine has the gold motor mount, it does have the blue handle transmitter, thanks
I haven't had mine two hours and the esc just went poof smoke every were, I took the original esc out and replaced it with a hyper go esc, y'all let me be the first one to tell you it screams now, it scared me when I held it and gave it full throttle, the tires bloomed up really fast, when I pull the trigger the power is instant no slow build up, this buggy is going to be stupid fast it might out run my legendary Sonic beast I will test the speed tomorrow
@@Xbot4Life I was asking if he replaced any drive train parts. Sometimes when you go from 2S to 3S things like diffs and gears can get damaged or need to be replaced more frequently.
This buggy does 40+ mph out the box NOT 30mph as you guessed. There have been several reviews on UA-cam and when they've done speed tests it's got between 40 and 44 mph on the provided 2s battery and 52mph/ 55mph on 3s
@@BudgetRC_Channel NO my friend I'm talking the v2,I KNOW I own one. Perhaps the throttle trim wasn't turned all the way up. But I PROMISE YOU there are plenty of version 2 speed tests on UA-cam, I've just watched Tomley Rc video, it gets 30+ on grass then 40+ mph on tarmac and 50+ on 3s

Hi, thanks, great review. Can you please tell me, if it's got ''battery securuty shutt-off'' at 6,8 V fir S2 and/or 10,2 for S3 to prevent DEAD-DRAIN of the battery ? Thanks
So i bought the v2 version the one bundled with a 3s battery and the car wont move with 3s only steering moves. Idk whats going on the esc is blinking red led how do i fix this. Please help thanks in advance
Not sure. That's a different RC than mine, which is only 2s. Usually when it steers but won't go, that's a sign that the battery is dead. A lot of ESCs cut power to the motor at low voltage cutoff, but will still steer. It's also possible that the motor, esc, or receiver or the wiring between them is not right.
track width is about 208mm. I think the wheelbase was around 220 or 225mm, but I don't remember the precise number and I've already replaced the chassis to change the wheelbase, so I can't measure.

@@BudgetRC_Channel Hello thanks for replying! I came to this video because I was thinking this to be my first rc car. Could you tell me how to adjust it the correct way? If mine came a bit off
If you're gonna give us a review, you should have a bit of back ground knowledge about the product in question. What you have there is a 124017 V2. The V2 is the brushless, the bushed is v1. 124019 124018 ect ect have nearly nothing to do with this line's progression.
@@BudgetRC_Channel Not doubting you, had to look at mine , and miy 124019 was actually converted to brushless by the hobby shop i bought it from prior to my buying it. So totally my bad, but I do remember my v2 of the 017 didn't cog and was like 40 mph or so outta the box on 2s.
@@conandude76 You're right about the 40mph out of the box. I had somebody else call me out on the speed that I claimed in the video, so I did a follow up with a speed run, and they were correct. The car did 40mph. As for the cogging, to be honest, I'm not really sure. I thought they changed the gearing, but to do that would also require a different KV motor to compensate. It's also possible that they just updated the ESC. It's been my experience that severe cogging is usually because of cheap ESCs that aren't tuned well enough to start a sensorless motor. This might have been as easy as a firmware update to the ESC, but I'm just speculating.
@@BudgetRC_Channelone more question i bought m3 screws but only fit certain spots. I need the smaller ones for on top of rc under the rc and few other spots. Can you send a link with the screw sizes correct sizes please
@Frenchii9YT I don't really know what all of the various screw sizes are. Look at the manual that came with the car. It should list the screw part numbers, or buy a variety pack. The smaller stuff is probably M2.5.
You must be crazy to think that car needs a smaller motor with the price and what you get that's like saying this car doesn't need a big-block it needs a small block foolish
I have one and love it, already changed tires and wheels and also put on a front crash quard.
