  • After trying to find a video to help me fix the C1 and C2 code I was experiencing with my Bosch tankless water heater and coming up empty, I decided to pull it apart and found a problem and wanted to share it for anyone in the same boat that I was.

Thanks, they are doable, but a pain. There may be an easier way to access them that someone might be able to share with us

5:37 - I could barely see it. I was curious there. That's the first time I've ever seen a gas connector hooked to a tankless. CSST is bad. That's the lazy approach.
I was looking, thinking: "Does he have a drip leg?" No. That connector got a lot of strain at the ends to make those 90 bends. It's too short of a piece. It just needs a gas tech to put a union and drip leg on it. The crud in the pipe just goes up into that expensive unit otherwise.
Pretty damn good work, by the way.

Having the same problem with my water heater. I removed the van, stuck a vacuum hose in there and gently blew compressed air backwards through the system. Cleared it out for now. Will see if its a long term solution. Do you happen to know if there are torque specs on all those screws? I couldnt find anything through bosch

Had any problems with the error code
since you tried blowing the system out like this?

Actually yes it did come back. Worked for a while. I'm going to try doing a much more thorough blow cleaning and see if that helps. If not, a tear down may be in order
