    You might want to try a water based mastic on the interior of the ductboard. Never had long term success foil taping on fiberglass.

      @@MikeyPipesOrlando Mastic tape is a butyl tape. I am talking about mastic applied with a brush. You will find that the mastic tape will not hold up on fiberglass.

      I’ve been an electrical contractor for almost 30 years and have never seen a supply house that wasn’t open at least by 7 am. That’s unacceptable, I’m small outfit but I still buy 5-6 mil a year in materials, by the way I’m union too, big misconception between union construction and union plant workers, no sick pay, no vacation pay, don’t show up you don’t get paid that’s why our hourly is so good. Also union contractors and nonunion contractors bid exactly the same the difference is nonunion pays their guys $10-15 an hour and we pay $75-100 an hour package. Nonunion are the greediest contractors. I pay good and make a great living but I get the most qualified workers

    • @MikeyPipesOrlando
      @MikeyPipesOrlando  Місяць тому +1

      No fuck that bro if they are not going to respect my time and work efficiently a providing my order for me then I guess what I will buy somewhere else or I will end up buying from where they buy from. It’s absolutely disgusting that Johnstone Supply in Central Florida, and especially this branch of Daytona Beach is run with such inefficiency. It’s pathetic and if I was like the undercover boss, he would be spinning in that location.

      @@MikeyPipesOrlando RE opens at 7:30 AM. Order, have delivered or pickup 2-5 days before, inspect for damage or 0 PSI.
      Employees across the country have figured out that the greedy corporate suits are being overpaid by 100-1000X, writing off their corporate aircraft fleet on taxes, using company aircraft and luxury vehicles for their family vacations (just look up aircraft accident investigations and see how many family members were onboard), pulling $75K in stock dividends monthly, outsourcing manufacturing to our enemy (sssshhh, they don’t like to talk about that, it’s easier for narcissists to blame consumers for “wanting cheap goods” when we know prices NEVER went down after outsourcing began. You think it’s bad now, wait until our enemies (most of the world) get finished busting our economy and weak military.

    Ya gotta have it delivered couple days before the job or pick it up a couple days before the job. That way you make sure it has refrigerant in it and there’s no hidden damage. You don’t put tape on the inside where it can dry out and fall down on top of your heaters and short them out/start on fire.

      When the compressor goes out, you want something don’t you. When it goes through defrost, which would be rarely, you might want some tempering of the air. 5KW doesn’t hurt anything. You don’t need any more than that, though.
