Nice Video Eli! Love it. Thanks for being there for people, even during the pandemic! XO from SF!
I love seeing the live car demo’s
Thank you so much for all that you do ❤️❤️❤️ parents across America love you!!!
My husband and I were just looking at/comparing the 2020 Pipa Rx to the 2019 Pipa Lite this morning. Same price point however even with the Pipa Rx being a little bit heavier that new base and the dream drape alone sold me on it. Plus the newer fabric was the cherry on top.
So glad you did this vid now I can show it to him!
We had ordered a Pipa and because of demand, it was back ordered too close to our due date. We submitted an order for the Nuna Pipa RX and it arrived in a week!
Do all the current pipas work with new base?
Yes they do. Nuna Global has a video that confirms this.

You are awesome!! I just saw the new items available on their US website today and UA-cam recommended your review!! Do you know if nuna pipa next or ARRA is going to be released in US this year? Their international site has released pipa next and ARRA but US has lite r and pipa rx?? It’s sooooo confusing! Again, thank you so much for your review!! Very detailed and clearly as usual!
Ada Meng thanks Ada :)
Eli
This is such a good video thank you so much! I know that I wanted a Nuna and I wanted the lightest model but didn’t know much about the new base and now I know I absolutely want the new base so I’m looking at the Pipa Lite R
Will the Rava have any new updates soon??
Best decision
With the new base , does anyone know the how much space from latch to latch?
great video and demonstration . Thank you
You’re so welcome :)
Oh dang I thought the new Pipa lite r could be installed without the base
That is so cool! Wish there was a load leg for the Canadian version, I was so disappointed when it didn’t have it on my pipa in 2018
I would love to see this new pipa compared to the agio Nido I wanted to choose the Nido but it's a little heavy and now that the pipa has a rebound limiting device I'm more inclined to consider it. I love your videos!!!
Is there a installation video for the relx base?
Do u have tu use the load leg firthe regular base or
relax base
Could you show a baseless installation for the nuns pipa
Eli! I love your videos!! You have been SO helpful. I am thinking about the Nuna Pipa but there are so many options now, its hard to decide. We are due in December so we have a little time but when were you thinking of doing a full comparison of the Nuna car seat line. I love the relax base, and I like the idea of being able to go with or without the base, BUT the lighter options are also appealing. In this video you talked about the different textiles but having a comparison chart (base, textile, foam type, base needed?, weight, etc) would be so helpful!
I’m a CPST and neonatal nurse and I would go with the regular Pipa seat with whichever base model you prefer. :) I am not a huge fan of the Lite versions of the Pipa - a couple of pounds honestly doesn’t make a huge difference and when you have a heavy, chunky 6 month old baby in the seat you may or may not even be able to feel the difference between the weight of a regular and lite/LiteLX. I also prefer the insert style of the regular Pipa over the Lite inserts as far as getting the best fit on a newborn. And even if you don’t think you’ll need it very often, the option to travel with your infant seat without the base is huge! It really makes you/your baby much more mobile in that first year - many people don’t think they’ll ever want to install without the base but then find that it’s inconvenient that baby can’t easily ride in Grandma’s or babysitter’s vehicle, etc without moving the base. While it’s definitely best to have a base in every vehicle that baby will ride in frequently, it’s also nice to have the option to go without!
Question will my original pipa work with the new base?
Melissa Cruz yes!
Awsome video ! Will you review the ARRA ? I wonder if it fits on the TRIV...
Does the new Nuna Pipa need a rolled up towel or foam pool noodle to to adjust the angle and the recline amount?
Cool video! Thank you, where'd you get your shoes??
I pushed the base little too much towards seat any way change the retracted position back to 1?
Hi there! Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
I live in Malaysia. The relx base is not available yet in here 🧐
Is the seatbelt lock off optional if you already have the two latches hooked up to the back seat?
You should only use one method of installation at a time. The Rigid latch is the preferred method for installation. The seatbelt installation is available if latch is not an option in your vehicle.
So the base doesn’t use the latch at the back of the car seats?
It does, but also has a generous lock for a seatbelt
Do you know whether the new base would fit in the same cars as the original? I'm pretty sure the original base would be fine in my 2013 Honda Civic, but the new base is obviously a bit bigger, and I can't tell if it makes a big difference in what cars it could fit in!
Looking at the seat on the website- I don’t see a dream drape. Did they get rid of a dream drape?!? 😭
Is the belt lock system in the middle backseat an approved way to install this car seat base? I purchased this one and it does not fit into my vehicles latch system because I have bucket seats on an Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I’m still hoping to use the base despite it having a European belt path option. Thank you for your help!
HI there! Most vehicles do not have latch connectors in the middle seats. You will have to use the seat belt path to instal which is just as safe 😊
Can you do one in the Nuna exec
Hello :) Do you know if the Pipa lite XL will be available with that base in 2020? I would really love to buy the lite xl but with the new base ! So without buying the new base and the car seat+ original base . Thank you !
Audrey B if that would be possible, I’m so down to buy it already, I hope he sees your comment soon !! 🙌🏼
Do you do shipping to Malaysia? Because we don’t have Nuna rx and relx base in here.
I was wondering if the bassinet for the nuna triv will be available in the us soon because I know it is available in the us. secondly I was wondering if the cybex mios bassinet is approved for overnight sleep
Hi. Just purchased the Pipa Next in the UK and can’t seem to find any videos showing demo of how this base is installed in a car. Also cannot see any videos of the Next or ARRA on UA-cam. Would it be possible to do a demo of these? Not really sure why Nuna has so many pipa lines and bases? A simple comparison video would be fantastic!
Customer service told me that Pipa next and ARRA is not going to be released in US
Hello do you have any advice for when to remove the smaller cotton pads insert on nuna pipa lite by age size or weigth? I didn't find any objective indication on the manual. Thanks for the help
Hi thank you for the video! I have the relax base and pipa light. I installed in the middle back seat which I can only attach using the seatbelt. While it doesn’t move backward or forward, it does seem to move side to side quite easily and I’m not sure if this is normal? I did extend the load leg all the way but not sure if I’m supposed to do that as well as it raises the base a little?
is it safe to have all weather mats on the floor when installing RX base?
If you are unsure, you can always reach out to Nuna directly and they will be able to tell you!
Will the Pipa Rx attach to the Thule Spring stroller?
Hey! Is the new base available for purchase on your website already? Also is the new base for purchase with a car seat or will it only be available to purchase the base on its own?
Am Vtbm Yes, it’s available to buy here
www.mbeans.com/products/nuna-relx-base
Thanks
Eli
@@MagicBeansVideos Can the new base be used with the original/previous model of the Pipa? We need to buy a second base for another vehicle.
Yes it can be used with your old Pipa :)
Eli
Also, will the pipa rx be compatible with the nuna Demi grow stroller? Will I still need the nuna ring adapter?
Do you guys offer military discount?
Which would be safer? To use the latches on a side seat or use the belt in the middle?
They are both safe, but the middle of the back seat is typically recommended as the safest position assuming you get a secure installation.
I am struggling to figure out how to get the 3rd adjustable stability pole to come out. mine only has 2 so it doesnt hit the floor. we have the pipa rx
Hmmm...sounds like a defect. You mean the load leg does pull all the way down. I’d give Nuna a call and troubleshoot with them. They may even send you a replacement base. Sounds frustrating :(
Eli
Hey there, thanks for the video! I just recently purchased the rx and wanted to get your advice on something. I read it was safer to install your car seat in the middle as that spot is statistically better in case of a crash. But after installing it in both the middle seat and side, I found it much more secure on the side. I really wanted to leave it in the middle seat but it wasn’t nearly as secure there as it was on the side using the latches. Would it be safer to leave it on the side where it’s more secure or in the middle even though it’s looser?
I SECOND this question ☝🏻☝🏻
same concern here
The safest place for any car seat is where it gets the best install. So that’s a side seat for you!
Same!
Hi there! Do you know if the new pipa car seats you mentioned will have a dream drape as well? I was looking into the pipa lite lx until I watched this 😁 I love your videos!
Kristen Simmonds the Pipa Rx does have the dream drape, however the Pipa Lite R doesn’t to my knowledge.
Enjoem thank you! I looked at the links above for both and the photos didn’t show one on either. After your reply I checked the nuna site and you’re correct - even in the description it only says dream drape included on the pipa rx.
Does the NUNA PIPA RX have a new adapter for the UppaBaby stroller? Or will the previous adapters for the other PIPA's work on the new RX and UppaBaby strollers?
The previous adapters will work with the RX.
Eli
When you get in all the new nuna pipa lite carseats, can you do a video pairing them with all the lightest strollers compatible for 2020? I know I want either nuna pipa lite, lx or lite r... now just trying to decide on the lightest stroller compatible with the lightest infant carseat :) Love your videos! have been watching since 2011 lol
I have the yoyo2 paired with the nuna rx! Yo-yo is super lightweight and folds to fit in an airplane compartment. You just need to buy the car seat adapters.
New mom, where should you have the car seat? In the middle or behind the driver's side ?
I'm expecting twins so the choice was made for me 😂🤷🏿♂️. One on each side. I don't see why it wouldn't work.
I was never able to install the original nuna pipa base in my bmw 328. Does the RELX be install properly in 3 series?
I just tried, and no luck. They both are about .5 to 1 inch too short. The latch arms on the base are not quite long enough. I also found that the relax base angle was not great. The regular Pippa base with the height legs out was much closer to the right angle for a newborn.
Is this available on the Swedish market?
No it's not.
Eli
this video is very useful, thank you so much
Can the Pipa RX be used with the adaptor included with Nuna Triv?
Amisha 100% Eli
Hi, do you know if I can use the new RX base with the original Pipa?
100%
can the nuna pipa (not the rx) fit in the relx base or vice versa?
Yes.
Can you use the base with a uppa baby mesa?
No. Just the Pipa
Eli
Ugh I just want a pipa with a non rethread harness! 😩
Liv Raber same. That’s been my only hangup about it. We were going to go with the Britax Endeavor car seat because I loved that you didn’t have to rethread at the harness but the weight of the seat and that a lot of mom’s said either babies grow out of it was what stopped me from getting it.
As a CPST and neonatal nurse, the Pipa is one of my favorite seats because it DOESN’T have a no-rethread harness! While a no-rethread harness is a huge convenience feature on a convertible car seat, I hugely dislike them on infant seats. They tend to push tiny newborn heads forward into a chin-to-chest position which is dangerous. Some no-rethread seats are worse than others but all run this risk. Since rethreading an infant seat is quick and easy and it’s only something you have to do 2-3 times max during baby’s use of the seat, I encourage parents to consider regular rethread infant seats despite the “appeal” of a no-rethread infant seat.
Your videos really helped me decide which car seat and stroller to buy. I bought the NUNA Pipa Lite LX Infant Car Seat and Nuna 2019 Mixx Stroller. I even did a review on the Nuna Pipa Lite LX car seat. Check it out on my channel! Thanks!
My daughter is 14 and pregnant maybe you can do a giveaway of the Nuna pipa Our family would be so grateful in this time of need stay safe and god bless you 😊😊😊
