So it's actually not wrong that the end of the car seat facing towards the front of the car has some side-to-side movement? I've been freaking out about this.

Correction: some cars do allow shared anchor points when using the center position without anchor. That is you can still use left and right anchor points. One of these vehicles is the 2011 Mazda cx9. Check owners manual and don't assume!

From someone that works at a dealer DO NOT INSTALL IN CENTER. If you read the instructions it will say if you install in the center all warranty and anything that happens in the incorrect position will void all protections or repairs for the seats or car. And in most cases the insurance you have will also void any repair costs if they find out it was installed in the center. Just an fyi so people know

Use the latch on the back of the seat don't use the belt, bought a car at auction with an airbag module problem and it was caused by the car seat being mounted in the middle and the accident retractor locking causing the car to fail state inspection

I was able to latch mine into the middle seat of my 2021 grand jeep Cherokee and also use the seat belt through the belt path and it’s super tight in there, I used to the two latches closest to the middle because there isn’t any in the middle
@@breannaakathleen7524if you still have your seat installed that way I highly encourage you to find a certified technician. Most car seats do not allow you to use both the seatbelt and the lower anchors at the same time (when forward facing you will always use the top tether). Also most vehicles and most car seats do not allow you to borrow the lower anchors from the outboard seats for a center install unless the anchors are a specific distance apart.

how many months or yrs old does a baby have to be in order for me to leave them in the back by themselves so I could sit in the front?
Never leave a baby in the car until they know how to leave the car on there own for safety
There is never a requirement to sit in the back with a child, just personal preference. Some parents will always choose to have one of them in the back with the child/ren whenever possible and others will ride front seat from day one.
Ummm.. I’ve never seen a car seat in the middle I’d assume that’s not a good ideas but to each his own.

WTF?! You do not want to install the baby seat in the middle seat! There's no impact cushion in the middle and your baby will fly out the front windshield if you ever get hit from behind.

Absolutely not. It is not safe nor is it legal to do so in most states. Really a child should remain rear facing until a minimum of 2 years old for their safety as their body is not developed enough to withstand crash forces like an adults body.
