@@jeremiahfiek5495 absolutely! I have another 200 series in the barn and I wanna find a donor quad cheap on marketplace to donate its engine and drivetrain into the gutted tractor frame. I know other guys have done it already but I wanna do one too 😄
@@Tennesseemountainhomestead you COULD just do straight axles using the existing mower front & rear axles and just make 3 or 4 link suspension with some coilovers from amazon or whatever. Then its still a tractor, but a badass one. 4 wheeler idea sounds cool too, especially if its a BIG 4x4 rig.
I know many go ahead and pull the inner seal anyway. Much like you did, I leave the inner seal on. I figured it would be less likely for water to get In them.
@@MightyRaze I’ve realized greased bearings last a long time. Like the bearings in the hubs of vehicles I’ve had. 250,000 miles and still original grease. Plus the fact it’s never going to be under continuous high speed. They are still just roller bearings though. In my custom axle I’m going with tapered bearings in trailer or golf cart hubs.
@@Tennesseemountainhomestead that sounds like a great idea. It will help last longer with those side impacts. I’ve blown out a couple sets of bearings in the past on my tractor Kal. Like you mentioned the brand has a lot to do with quality as well.
@@AbbyNormalGarage 😄 I’d love to have an actual lathe when I grow up. But I’d like a good one that’s large enough for bigger projects. So I’ll probably never have one 😅
Looks good! Love the TMH lathe. Looks like it’s going to do well at good evening ranch
Those heim joints look sweet!
@@hotlapgarage thanks Hot Lap!
That thing looks just killer cool. You guys should build a tractor with high travel suspension for really rough rocky terrain. Just an idea.
