These home garage and backyard fixes are most inspiring! Love the new shop, but I feel like an intruder. I'm just the cheap, ignorant neighbor looking for free therapy when I wander into your backyard. It's so natural for me! Thanks!
Awesome to find a video from you today what a service you do for helping us learn how to fix stuff ! So much better than any thing I've watched in my life these how to videos are such a plus to be able to teach and show how to repair things .
Omg it’s so good to see the old setup again and seeing you test drive around that patch of lawn …. I really wish you would make another frankinbike for us, man I used to love you build those things 👍👍
Sometimes just cleaning the carburetor really well is all it takes to get things working right again. The mouse nest was just bonus material. I have seen the shroud completely stuffed all the way around. Good video!
Straight off the bat I thought it was a governor issue. The mouse nest was blocking the air from the vane that it blows on that sets the speed. Good job 👍
I love these impromptu videos. Feel free to record anytime you want. I would watch you do just about anything! Btw my mower is also hunting, I didn’t even think about a vacuum leak. I just assumed it was starving for fuel. Thanks.
What genius designed that carburetor? Way too complicated. Obviously they did not remember to KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. Thank you for the interesting video Mustie.
I've been a subscriber for years and would be regardless because of your personality and sense of humor (I laugh every time I see that old gas engine you bought from a museum with the engraved plaque that pronounced "Lovingly Restored by Clyde Feltersnatch" [or whomever]). Having said all that, you really shine when it comes to these troubleshooting videos. Even if there would be some crabby weirdo who didn't like you, he'd do well to watch anyway for that very reason. Logical thinking is your forte.
Wow! This was a surprise, Mustie Wednesday's. Just like the old days when we used to get a short Mustie fix. Got anymore for us Darren? Sunday's can seem so far away at times.
As you know, lifting the hood with one hand from the center is a good way to break that plastic hood. There are two little catches on either side of the cowl that hold the hood closed. I took a die grinder with a sanding disc and ground off those little catches. Now my hood opens freely with no chance of breaking in the middle. On mine, the top section of the hood is $300.
I had one that was doing the exact same thing. No amount of adjusting the carb seemed to work. Got rid of it before doing a thorough investigation into why.
New carb for $34 on the popular site. Maybe worth a try just to see how those cheap carbs work. Also maybe even allow you the opportunity to take one of those cheap carbs and see if you can mod it for more power.
I had an issue with a 2 barrel briggs carb, turned out the person before me had put the butterfly shaft back in upside down, so it wasn't letting the butterfly open fully, not sure if this is the problem here or not, since it's a kawasaki.
Man, I miss this old garage from the old days. Good morning, Mustie.
I got excited. Wednesdays should be from home...
What, mid week and in the old shop? Awesome!! Great to be home again
Oh my classic mustie in the garage again!!!
Full circle and back to lawn tractors too.

8:40 "My tool selection is a little on the..... thinner side here." He said with a pair of locking, mosquito nose surgeons forceps in his hand. 😂🔧👍
Oooh surprise Mustie on a Wed morning!

Good old home video, more homely than the new shop :)
Good to see where it all began again!! 😄
What genius designed that carburetor? Way too complicated. Obviously they did not remember to KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. Thank you for the interesting video Mustie.
Nice mid-week surprise. Thank you. I think you should have seen what it would have taken to get more throttle out of it. :D
Love it, vintage mustie, in the old shop on an old style project.
Mustie1 returns to his childhood garage!
Alright the home garage where the legend began.
The Old Stomping grounds! Great to see it. I miss this place! Mid week content? What did we do to deserve this treat?

Ah! it's good to reminisce about repairs in the old garage
Wow! This was a surprise, Mustie Wednesday's. Just like the old days when we used to get a short Mustie fix. Got anymore for us Darren? Sunday's can seem so far away at times.
Well done. Regards from Rio de Janeiro.
Hate working in my home garage with barely any tools, lol. Thought it was sunday for a second!
Yipppeeee a midweek mustie. Was expecting this 😍made me day
appreciate the midweek video thank you
Nostalgia series!!! Try a couple of other things there before it gets dead cold!!! Vacuum failure, hardest problem to diagnose of all.
As you know, lifting the hood with one hand from the center is a good way to break that plastic hood. There are two little catches on either side of the cowl that hold the hood closed. Fantastic Mustie on a Wednesday!!!
Midweek entertainment is AWESOME
Yes the throttle blades not opening all the way is regulating hp. Worked for Kawasaki motors for years and that’s how they do it.
Morning to you good sir nice to see you again !!
I had one that was doing the exact same thing. No amount of adjusting the carb seemed to work. Got rid of it before doing a thorough investigation into why.
Certainly a bit of nostalgia seeing the home garage again, as for the fault, does seem that the carb is insane, cos it's got a screw loose... :P
SUNDAY Morning has come early!
Cheers Darren
What is the industrial relation problems happening with John Deere?
Thank you for sharing.👍
Wednesday vid in the OG garage?! Let's go!

I have one of them , I ended up putting a new carb on mine and have not had a problem since.

I remember when he bought that van to work on his house!
I am so oldtimer that i still feel like this is the shop and the new place is just the new place...
Did you make that machine lift or is it commercially available. Thanks
Thanks Darren!
Another great job mustie ✌🏻
I had an issue with a 2 barrel briggs carb, turned out the person before me had put the butterfly shaft back in upside down, so it wasn't letting the butterfly open fully, not sure if this is the problem here or not, since it's a kawasaki.
