numb yea Mateus has a lot more blues and rocky stuff in his playing. Mark seems to be more funk and soul based, with the occasional crazy jazz runs. Both are exceptional players. Some of the best of our generation imo

Maybe he uses another amp not visible on the video. Doesn't seem to have in ears, so I wouldn't bet on an amp modeler... (and the tone is very reminiscent of a Fender amp)
Thanks! To clear things up - I was plugged in to a Fender Deluxe Reissue off-camera. The amp you see in the video belonged to the owner of the home, so we left it in the shot - since it looked cool :)
Grosh NOS Retro with in HSS config. If I'm remembering this right, one of the tone controls actually blends in the humbucker to whatever pickup is turned on at that time. Something like that.
I never comment, but this video watching Mark with this fantastic performance made me open my eyes about my playing and reinvent some things about my style of play. That’s what it’s about is to reach one person to pick it up for the first time or like me, have a song profoundly affect me that much after 2 decades of playing on and off. Awesome how music works like that... Great job all around, playing odviously, but this video is as professional as the performance... Cheers...!!
Mark is what I refer to as a Monster Player! Fabulous style and "off the charts" thinking.........a wonderful combination for producing interesting music. Definitely not the average guitarist.
This guy is sick, i love his style and his strat is superb with the bridge humbucker. I have to say i am jealous of his playing i wish there was a teacher in my area of his caliber to show me the ropes.

The funk Mark is the best. I’m not an ambient player. But love your funk and in general your playing. Great 👍 just watched rig rundown yesterday twice. Great stuff. Love the Supro. May ya e to give in to gas and get a Supro drive. Even tho I already have a ruby red which has that on one side.

IMO Mark Lettieri is in a whole other league. The most tight guitarist i ever heard.
To be fair, in my opinion, Mateus is right up there with Mark, the guy is insane. But Mark is also incredible, I love both players

You can tell how good Mark is by that rig. Completely transparent and unforgiving tone. He pulls it off amazingly.
