    Bambi was my favorite riff way back when and I totally havn’t heard it in years. Put this on to check out the riffs and you start with that and it really made my day. Love that track glad you had it on here!

    Mark is one of my favorite guitarists of all time. Y'all need to check out his solo work. Especially Spark&Echo, and Deep: The Baritone Sessions. No one quite like this 🐐

      I hear a lot of heavy grunge hard rock stuff: soundgarden, alice in chains, nirvana, green river, faith no more, smashing pumpkins, temple of the dog, primus, Melvins, but man, I just miss King's X. Such a shame for me.

    DAMN IT - All Day Sucker is such an underrated song, great choice! Love that verse riff with Stevie mirroring it in the vocals :D Also win with the King's X

    Love how much mark is into prince.. prince never gets enough credit in the guitar world.. and that probably explains why I love marks playing so much too!

    And Stevie Wonder is of course legend, but cool to see a a lesser known tune but one that I totally agree just absolutely jams!

    Saw Mark at M3 in Anaheim at NAMM for the Elements of Sound show. Stellar player, killer funk chops and this was great! And as King's X is my fave, as soon as he started Black The Sky, I knew he'd forever be one of my favorite players. 🙌🏻

    One thing - the Band of Gypsies New Years Eve album was recorded in the Fillmore *East*, making that song recorded not in Berkeley but in the one and only New York City

    what a sound with single coils and what a player, and yes you're right, kings'x is for me the best underrated band in rock history. Ty and DuG are genius. thx to the Master of Funk M.E. for this.

    Though Mark Lettieri plays the guitar, he reminds me so much of Guy Patterson from the movie "That Thing You Do" when he talks. He just seems like a really-down to earth fella and even when his musical vocabulary and knowledge is quite impressive, he's still a humble person.

    The best riff is the opening to Beethoven's Fifth.
    "DADA-DYMMMM/DADA-DOOOMMM" - closely followed by 85% ofAC/DC (R.I.P Malcolm, you lived and died in the pocket)

    Mark is great. TC Electronic is great - except for the pedal I got that came in the post defective :-( - but that tone of the first riff is huuuuuuuuuuge and on the bridge? EEEEEY!!!! :-D yesterday I heard for the first time Who Knows, covered by Philip Soyce and I was noodling right on the moment of this video the riff.... and then he starts playing it! ha! cool stupid little moment hahaha

    "Band of Gypsys" - Recorded at Fillmore East (NYC), January 1, 1970. His last full-length album, and one he would not have released except for contractual obligations with Capitol records.

      Austin Prince There’s a couple videos on UA-cam where he talks about his pedal set up for the road and his supro, and he was also featured in an add for a supro statesman or somethin. I dont remember but yeah i suggest those vids

      Jimi was referencing Sly there. "Sing A Simple Song" is off of Stand! from '69, Band of Gypsys was recorded on New Years of '70.

    Mark Lettieri playing bambi from Prince. He does understand good music :D! And look at his budget pedalboard 1:00 proves that a great guitarist does not need the most expensive gear! Even a cheap Mojo overdrive, damm. Oh wait he does play a 'Haar" guitar... o_O.

      You should try MojoMojo with drive/gain under 11 or 12 o'clock... if you understand what is the purpose of that pedal. And then try to buy the most expensive pedals that you can buy with the same purpose as mojomojo. And then put them all in front of very very expensive amp, and don't forget also very very very good guitar. And then, let me know what you think about mojomojo. And don't forget, don' try pedals at home, but with band in real situation. Which pedal is better than mojomojo and why?
