    Today we work on a cat eye silverado. The guy who bought my ctsv and I bought it back from bought a 2003 Silverado. For some reason it came with a 5/4 drop. The rear of the truck was dropped with a a shackle and hanger kit. He wanted to get the truck lower in the back by installing a flip kit. I have to agree with him as it does look a lot better with the flip kit. The rear flip kit is a 6" drop and we added the shackle for a total of 7" of drop. This is a pretty easy install that doesn't require a ton of tools.

    I have an Nbs crew cab with a flip kit and I ended up putting in 3/4 ton springs and absolutely love how it rides. I didn’t want to go the route of helper bags and dealing with all of that but needed a firmer ride. I’m happy with how it turned out.

      New HD springs? Or whered you get em? I feel the rest needs some more spring but I didn't want to spend the money for a single leaf or the super sport springs

      Sometimes they have a chevy lean. I sometimes trim some off the front string opposite side.

    • @realreviews5693
      @realreviews5693 Рік тому

      There is a company that makes a drop kit that corrects the lean. The reason it leans is the spring perches in the factory a-frames are higher on one side. The 4/6 drop kit I saw replaces upper and lower a-frames and you reuse your factory springs. IHC is the company

    I have a flip kit in my rear with a lowering kit I got from RC but the guys that did the work installed a 2” lowering shackle I had laying around that didn’t come with the kit. It seems that 2” shackle is defeating the purpose cause I don’t see much difference. I’ve been told to use the stock shackle instead to get the correct drop t even a lift shackle for more drop since the leafs are flipped. Is it difficult to do that swap on the shackles only? Do I need to remove everything?

      Have to cut the bottom of the stud off below the nut. This is listed in the instructions that come with the spindles

    I have an 05 Silverado, i also installed shock extenders from belltech and they only came with one long bolt and a tube washer that goes in the original shock holes, and didn't require makin that back hole🤔, might be different from this one but ur link says won't fit my 2 wheel drive 05 Silverado. You know why that is?

    Just got a stock height 2010 Silverado reg cab work truck with the 4.8 engine. I just wanna lower the rear maybe 5” to level with the front. How should I go about it? Couple of things I noticed. My rear hangars are fully welded on, not riveted. All I’m seeing online are 2” drop shackles which don’t seem like enough by themselves.
