I will be flying a PC-12 Legacy IRL soon. Also just got the Carenado PC-12 for MSFS. These videos are tremendously helpful before initial training at Simcom. Thank you Gene!
Awesome! Welcome to the Pilatus fam. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you get a chance, check out the new SWS PC-12. It's a step up from Carenado and is great for practicing flows, etc.
@@GeneStuart I was actually just about to ask whether you thought there was any difference between the SWS and Carenado. Also any difference between X-plane vs MSFS versions? I use both sims.
The SWS PC-12 is definitely better. As far as X-Plane vs MSFS goes, both are good. The graphics are better on MSFS, but I like the flight modeling much better on X-Plane. X-Plane seems to be geared more toward pure flight simulation, whereas MSFS has a bit more of an entertainment feel.
Unfortunately, I think a developer does more harm to an aircraft when they don't model it correctly. The PC-12 used to be my all-time favorite aircraft. I purchased the MSFS Carenado PC-12 but rarely fly it because the systems are so balked. I'm still waiting for SimWorks to release theirs. I gotta say the information you provide and the way you break it down is simply awesome. Anyone sim pilot who flies the PC-12 will certainly find your channel invaluable.
Sooo helpful, cheers man.. btw SWS are planning a NG, although they said the legacy was nearly here 6months ago (still not), and the NG was going to be "at least" a year after that
Thanks! Here's the list: Receiving Before Start After Start Before Taxi Before Takeoff After Takeoff Climb (to the line/below the line -- passing 10k & 18k) Cruise Descent Approach (to the line/below the line -- passing 18k & 10k) Before Landing After Landing Shutdown/Securing
You should send a list of fixes to Carenado and see if they would make changes. This plane is so close since the last update but just need s not more work to push it over into great.
Love your videoes! One thing though. There's a lot of PC12 videoes out there, and quite a bit for simulators, but I am curious about takeoff and landing speeds of the PC12. The documentation for Carenado's planes are as usual lacking a lot of information, so I am simply wondering what would be normal for takeoff and landing speeds? :)
Excellent content.
Thank you! 😁

Great stuff! Looking forward for more. Also with GNS750
Thank you! Stay tuned. 👍🏻

Thanks so much, Frank. Looking forward to the Simworks PC-12, too!

Cheers! I just saw the screenshots of that SWS Legacy. Looks good but would love to see the panel.
@Gene Stuart Between the Kodiak and the RV-14 you can probably bet that the plane will be modeled very well.
🤞
Very interesting 😊👍🏻
Looking forward to Simworks PC12 coming soon!!! Should be quite a step upward!!!
Me too!
Great insight, thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! Good suggestion for a video -- I'll put it on the list!
SWS PC-12 is out. Would be great if you'll make a few videos using it, instead of this gimmick of Carenado.
I'll switch over for sure. Looks good!
