John, I live on the South West coast of Ireland. County Kerry. Just a 10 minute drive from the coast which is very similar to where you live. Ever since I've started watching your channel, along with Craig Evan's channel, I have learned so much. I went beach combing yesterday, fuelled with the knowledge of what you teach and it's like I've been given a new pair of eye balls. Our coastline is so alike to yours, it's uncanny. Thank you so much.

Another fascinating film, i hope you realise how good your contents is. Entertaining and educational, a pure joy and mesmeric to watch. I grew up as a kid in Scotland and my father was a keen fisherman and shooter, we never had much money but we never ever went hungry. I remember days Collecting winkles, taking them home and boiling them up and using a needle to eat with vinegar. The knowledge you share is fantastic and far more enjoyable than anything on mainstream media, i hope you continue to make these films. The tips i have learn on fishing as well as foraging are priceless and well explained.

- Males can be like that. They’re more aggressive and likely to come out and fight - which is often their downfall. A bit like humans in that respect. 😉🦞
wow videos like this really bring me back...me and my friends as young kids used to go to the beach all the time looking under rocks for lobsters and crabs rock eals also....i really miss the old days ..none of my friends do this anymore.. however sometimes i will find my self down at the beach once again just me doing what we did as kids.. seeing all great stuff we could find....thanks for sharing
- I used to do this with my siblings and cousins as kids. Haven’t seen most of them for around 5 years now. 🤷🏻♂️ but my passion for the shore hasn’t stopped

Ey Up John another grand show, that Lobster was the business, hope it tasted as good as it looked. That water looks so beautiful and inviting, wouldn't be able to keep my girls out of it even it was freezing. I do love snorkelling and just to float and see what was living on the bottom, is so therapeutic. Many years ago I was a fireman and broke my back in an accident going to a false alarm and even now I suffer from extreme pain, however as soon as I enter the water it all goes away and for a short time I'm pain free......BLISS x Love to all and keep safe, you are doing a marvellous job as a family in these grim times

John - Please keep all sorts of videos in your repertoire too. I love the walks and almost feel as though I'm right there with you. Your fishing videos are top notch but mixing them up a bit noting seasonal coastal changes keeps in very interesting in my opinion. I envy your coastal access and enjoy your perspective during these walking tours.
- We are trying to keep a variety in the videos and there are more coastal walk ones coming up. It’s just about making the most of the conditions at the time. 😊👍🏻

It is not hard to see why we absolutely adore where we live is it. Believe it or not but my knowledge only scratches the surface. There are literally hundreds of types of seaweed in our local area. 💙

I've been watching your videos for a couple months now. Really enjoy them. I'm from a fishing village on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. It's amazing how similar our coast lines are.

Funny you should mention lobster. The town I'm from (Barrington), catches the most lobster in the country. 40% of all the lobster caught in Canada come from my little town. And we definitely eat our share.lol

It always surprises me that you don't have 10x the subscribers you currently do. There's no other channel quite like this. I can't wait to watch it continue to grow, I hope it reaches a point where this can be your full time focus.
- At the moment one of the biggest annoyances right now John is that there is a rival channel ( who does similar videos ) that actively spams our channel and gets all of his friends to spam and dislike the videos with his video links and channel name.
@@TheFishLocker Some people are unbelievable aren't they? I wouldn't worry overly much though. Integrity wins in the end and your content is wholesome and your knowledge next level. No point losing sleep over bitter people.

There are always lots of things to love about your videos...but truly you could have knocked me over with a feather when you said those dog whelks were "on the march". To me they are just snails, and snails are always slow....and then they started going! Indeed those whelks were marching! Learned something new and got a good chuckle out of it as well.

Must be so refreshing to be able to walk through a grassy area without getting bitten, stung, poisoned, or maimed in any way. Im so jealous 😫. Beautiful area!
- Haha. We did actually go for a walk yesterday and found a baby Adder. The only poisonous snake in the UK. 😉👍🏻
On our last family fishing trip, we had to go to another mark because of a nesting ball of water moccasins. We ended w/ goo, gator gar and a couple of bowfin/chupik at the second spot.
