They should've gone even more minimalist and built it with the same inline 3 but mounted it latitudinally and made it rwd only. It would actually warrant a sport cup 2 oem fitment and the weight and drivetrain losses saved would have it trapping above 105 mph in big boy territory no tune or bolt-ons required. They could've mounted some trick twin opening intake and had enough room to squeeze in a pair of double wishbones at the front corners. The rear tires would need an extra 10mm stagger to aid traction but then again when has a closed-torsen ever needed help ?? Shorten the final drive 15% and the word to the wise would be to only go full throttle in 3rd gear and up. Or lengthen the final drive 15% and let the drivetrain yank you along like an e36 m3 only 150 kg lighter but with the same redline..

Gees, everyone is pin pricking on the power statement. So I’ll do one more. You mentioned the fuel economy figure of 7.6 L/100 is just over 30 mpg. If you’re converting to imperial mpg then it’s roughly 37 mpg for the rest of the world who use 4.5 litres per gallon.

The rear is an abomination and the interior is so-so. Also, no auto, no deal for me. To the people that ordered one, I hope you enjoy it and it fulfils all of your expectations. In a world full of SUVs, these type of cars will become increasingly rarer and more niche.
Mine lasted 6mths and Engine BLEW...Toyota replaced it but I sold it 2 weeks later...IMO the little 3 Cylinder is just at its absolute Max capacity from factory and more than likely the reason they DONT run the 3 cylinder in actual Rally...they use a 4cyl and I can't work out how Toyota got homologation through as the Road and actual Rally version DO NOT HAVE the same engines unlike all the Legends of Rally like Evolutions and WRX etc...What the Rally Car had under the hood was the Same as what you got from the dealership...modified of course...but the SAME basic engine....BTW...I like the Megane RS...you still have it?
Bravo bravo! Toyota Toyota ! I love you I love you! Just build one that I can afford plz😁
Most powerful 3 cylinder until the Gemera gets here, although the gemera is helped by electric motors. The engine itself is a monster.
Arumai! ( In Tamil language it means Awesome 👌)
You covered all aspects. GREAT!
