I made derisory comment at Peter G's decision to release singles each new moon and found some of the releases less than inspiring. But!!! Today I listened to the bright side mixes of i/o and it really works for me as a complete album! Indeed, I would say Peter has released a very fine body of work!! Me and my big gob :) I eat my words ..
Me too, how wrong could we be. Possibly his best album, although Passion and Up are hard to beat. Should have known better.
Had my first listen last night in the car late after gigging..really liking what I'm hearing.

Thanks for the video. Does the inside mix play on a standard cd player, or do you need a blu-ray player?
Blu-ray discs generally require a dedicated Blu-ray player, which will also play CDs… 👍
You will need a4k blueay player that can decide ATMOS as well as a receiver that can't decide ATMOS and the height spreads in your house (usually 2 or 4 it more,) to hear the surround in 3D or ATMOS headphones that connect to your receiver

Got mine today too! Listened to dark side. Love it. Best album since “So.” I have no inside mix though. How is it?
The inside mix is my favorite way to listen to it. The individual instruments for each song seem much easier to define and have their own space. I'm sure this sounds like an ATMOS ad, but i heard some instrument parts that I had not heard with the other mixes. They were still there, they just seemed a little more buried
not a bloody comment about how the vinyl sound... very useful

i bought the dark side mix vinyl and the blue strip was not glued on, that is very strange...
Mine it stuck fast, properly glued down, like it was meant to be like that and then they changed their minds!
Thank you Darren for this unboxing ! The next one about a new record from Mr Gabriel will be in 42 years from now ( If i count it right 😂), so we have a lot of time to appreciate and enjoy this one ! So, from now on, Mr Putin can push the "red button" because, hurrah, we got a brand new Peter Gabriel album with new songs and we can say "goodbye" to Earth !! But, while i think hard about it, this is the main message of "I/O" 😅!!!

Decided to NOT buy the CD today. Was kn the libary her in Berlin. You can order books etc from all over Berlin. But that I/O wasn't to be found easyly.
I'm not convinced that this one is as good as US or even UP.
The arrangements have often strings atached. In a way I don't like. It sometimes to much. But some song are simply NO compare to older stuff.
And I have to admit eather Gabriel has changed or my taste has changed. Listened to some of the songs on youtube tonight. Not my cup of tea this album.
