I am really tired of apple tbh, all these years and still can't multitask two apps in the big screen on the pro maxes.
I love iPhones but THIS is literally one of the only reasons I have been tempted to go back to Android lol. Rumor was Apple was going to add it for iOS 17. Whelp, let’s see if they finally do for 18 this fall. If it’s still not there in 1-2 years when I upgrade my 13 Pro, sayonara!
Then again, I highly appreciate being able to use Face ID for bank app and more, probably what I would miss the most. I am torn. I do like Android too…
I was so disappointed to find out after changing to IP 15 Pro Max that it cantaloupe run some things in the background. Like come on. All that power suddenly became useless. Anyway, there are a lot of things whre I say iPhone is prehistoric, not evolved, not thought of certain features/functions and more. So, basically I’m annoyed by the actual phone. This being said, it’s still a great phone otherwise that can actually deliver 🤔

Apple never gets criticized for their bull*** phone like Samsung does, people are fine buying the same phone year after year until Samsung does it smh
1. Apple iPhones are ALWAYS criticized (lets not finesse that narrative as you said "the same phone year after year"). No one would have said anything if Samsung and the fans never made the "same phone" comments year after year.
2. It's actually smart for Samsung to focus on refining and developing the best phone instead of trying to do too much year after year as I said refinements are good to a point. But you have to get the phone right for refinements to make sense.
3. The S24 Ultra is a nice phone
Although this may be accurate, the criticism is not comparable to that of Samsung or Google.
Both companies can’t continually change how the phone looks people also enjoy familiarity it’s the refinements that make the phones people complain about about iPhones but the s24 ultra looks almost identical to the notes of the old. Reason apple keep there notch is for its superior security and face unlock id rather have that notch over a dot to guarantee better security. I’m not a fanboy either owned both Samsung and apple but I always end up back on apple as the operating system simple and always fluid wether 60 hertz or 120 it’s silky.
@Sykotic187 I admit, I'd rather have a notch and have Face ID, but not for security reasons because the fingerprint is just as secure as Face ID. But simply for convenience.

CJ wassup? I too bought the S24 Ultra (although deep in the iPhone ecosystem) I love the 15 pro but Sammy did the damn thing with the S24 Ultra!
I’m not a Samsung Fanboy at all, but this phone is the best phone in the world right now. What more do you want from a smartphone? This phone blows my mind, and mind you, I’ve been into smartphones since the Nokia 3650, back in 2001.

I used to be an ios fanatic years back but in 2019 Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor magic, Google , Red Magic, One Plus , my 23 ultra multi tasking and emulation and Android changed my life
For me, the flat panel, the Gorilla Armor glass anti-reflective properties that us baked into the glass, it's not a coating, coatings wear off.
The main thing for me is the 5x 50mp camera.

Believe it or not, I considered the flat screen a “significant upgrade”. The main reason is because I could never find a screen protector that would stay in place. That simple fact prevented me from being able to adequately protect the screen. This would have led to a premature replacement of the S23 Ultra. I needed to move to the flat screen.

same here. came from the s22 ultra and I really wanted to move on from the curved display. though now with the s24Ultra's non reflective screen i kinda dont want to put a tempered glass screen protector now. 😅

Maybe because the features on Goodlock is not supported by Android but supported by ONE UI(That’s the reason why didn’t merge it) or Samsung just like you know preparing for the future when they make a move to go out from Android System and create their own OS(Just experimenting it using android system) JUST MAYBE.
I love ur videos i got my 24 ultra on 24th january its awsume bur one thing the volume keeps turning its self down have u any ideas mate how to stop it from doing that. Apart from that i love the phone

2) My lady and I pulled the trigger, and upgraded from our Galaxy Note 10+ phones to the S24 Ultra. She has Titanium Violet, (aka : "Thanos"), and I have Titanium Black. (aka : "Batman : The Dark Knight Returns") So far, we are loving the speed on these.

When it comes to phones, I decided to switch to Apple for privacy. Samsung was killing privacy when it released the Note. The fact that they are going to start charging a subscription for their "service" not only adds fuel to that fire, but it guarantees my confidence in making the right choice switching to Apple years ago!
Exactly. Especially their marketing campaign; galaxy ai “features.” Did u hear subscription in the keynote? False advertising. Apple is no angel but they may be well placed if they do well with Siri/ai, especially on device, free n private.

Remember when iPhone users didn't want to talk about specs because every Android device was out doing them? Now, they want to talk about the processor but ONLY the processor. Wanna talk about screen resolution? No. How about how every Android manufacturer has a folding device? Nope! Just the processor.
Literally have said and will continue to say that "Samsung has some of the best displays"(even said it in this video😂) but their processors have always been behind. Now their GPU performance is above the iPhone in benchmark scores but not CPU speeds yet.
Did u know that iPhone uses Samsung screen wow imagine that. I phone is trash same phone every year. No innovation at all with apple. All I have to do is stand next to a apple user and unfold my fold 5 and it's a wrap nothing they can say. Also they adaptive Island or whatever it's called is a joke on iPhone. Android has the same app and it's better that's sad apple came up with it and Samsung made it better

The curved Edge was amazing. I'm a mechanic / automotive detailer and customizer and I didn't have any problems with the curved Edge I thought it was an amazing feature on the phone just means your phone's going to be on the counter flat
Apple may have the better chip, but you'd never know. You can't even do stuff like multitasking on iPhones.

I am at a week with my 24 ultra. I do feel torn because so many of my friends and family have I phones buy I am really enjoying the phone for sure.

What features on s24u is effected by Gemini?

They're both fast enough........what Apple phones don't have? 1- 2,600 nit, 2-SIM card slot, 3-A anti-reflextive screen, 3 were enough. I used for 13 months an iPhone 13PM and the insane limitations you get with that phone are insane. I'm now back to do the things the 13PM cannot do, specially with the WhatsApp app.
You are doing this review like you know for fact that all AI features are going to be behind a paywall.. based on everything I have read that is not the case. There will be premium features behind a paywall and certain features but not all AI features..
I’m 64 years old and I have owned the iPhone 15 pro max and the s 24 ultra!
The iPhone is great no doubt, but the Samsung is so far ahead it’s not even funny.
My wife has the iPhone XR and it’s the same as the 15 pro max with the exception of the great cameras….
Apple used to be the great innovators, but in truth, they are now miles behind Samsung and android .

good review. waiting to learn more about tricks to take better pictures and videos. been a samsung knight from day one. having S22U. wife upgraded from S23U to S24U because of the flat screen. i am getting the S24U 1tb memory and don't plan to upgrade until i get the samsung fold with S pen included, good battery management and better cameras. so sticking with S24U for now. The processing thing,I think it depends on your usage coz sometimes the S twenty THREE Ultra outperforms the 15 pro max,I think they go back & forth with the benchmark scores
Why chase specs? That makes no sense, not even for Apple... There are plenty of things that are different. The flat screen and the anti-reflection, the side rails feel better, the 50 5 times camera...and then the AI features.
Wassup CJ. Been android since the jump and a subscriber for years. Appreciate the honesty in the reviews. People going in on you fpr being honest which is weird, but keep it up. My order comes in soon for this phone and its great seeing a realistic deep dive on it. We getting a pro video how to video for this one?
Never went too deep into the why goodlock isn't in one UI but from light looking into it, apparently its related to the anti fragmentation act (AFA) google pushed through some years ago. Im not an expert on it if someone is they can say more. But I will say goodlock is how my phones and tablet since the note 20 have been fun on top of the other good things. Phones seem to miss the enjoyment part these days from customizations, one handed shortcuts, motion backgrounds, so on and so forth. But you right, they should be backed up and transferred with new phones

How bad are corners digging into your palm, especially when using it one handed?
Not digging into my hand at all. If you shove it into your hand maybe you will began to feel pain. But why would you do that? You do not have to hold the phone that way.
Never had an issue with it digging into my palm. I don't hold it like that, and it's comfortable (more comfortable than I would expect). The iPhone 14 pro max was less comfortable to hold and dug into my hand more even with its round corners.
Is circle to search not going to be just a regular android thing?
I do believe Samsung just has it for now but it's not exclusive to them

I enjoy your videos. I bought the s24 Ultra. I have the iPhone 15 pro max as well as the Google Pixel 8 Pro. I had the s23 ultra but sold it last year. I like the flat screen on the S24 Ultra . I am still forming an opinion on it. I can say I prefer my Pixel for photos. I say truthfully the only read I purchased it is because I like technology and I liked the orange color😊.
I love the Titanium Orange.
I, too, have the Pixel 8Pro, love the cameras and that's it. Battery life is trash l, the Exynos modem is a battery hog. I take my Pixel with me with no SIM just to take pictures.

Hey CJ..long time no see. I went with 24U in titanium violet 💜 💜💜. It's a beautiful device, and I wish Samsung would return to matching the sPen with the color of the device, I've been loyal to Samsung since my N4. Terrific job on the review CJ..

The s24U is the best android phone I ever used! And its the first time that it felt like I didnt want to return to the iphone anymore! It is that good!
The s23 last year was far off. To me the upgrade is massive
I think the smartest move for Samsung is to just make like basic AI features free and if you want to use it more advanced AI features then you can do like a price tag on that but don't just turn off the features for all the AI cuz then the main selling point was pointless and people just bought a newer phone for nothing when they could have gotten last generation's phone for the same price
I came from note 10+ and for me i will not complain anything about the s24 ultra. Some of ya'll be comparing s23 vs s24 like its a big thing making yourselves contented and hating that a new flagship is out. Well both phones are great (s23 and s24). But still, id choose the latest chipset, ai tech, titanium frame and new glass armor with anti reflective.
A con was a rumored software update? What? I agree about skin tone issues, but a prerelease OS update is a nothingburger.
Circle to search removes 3 or 4 presses, you can circle to crop then save the crop, and use google lens which is the search algo they're using anyways. It's nice they streamlined it, but it's really just combining two apps into one more seamless experience.
I think the rear facing cameras did a good job with your skin tone, imo. But the selfie washed you out. One selfie had good cutout and focus, but two others came out pretty poorly.
I transferred all my themes and live wallpaper through samsung switch froms22 ultra to s24 ultra. Didn't have touch goodlock for icons or themes.
The S24 Ultra brightness is lower than my iPhone 15 pro that was the main selling point for me 😢😢

The fix for vivid screen is coming february 22.
Yes when you use goodlock theme park any theme you make does not carry over it needs backup feature so I'll either buy nice theme and use it with Nova launcher this way uou can use any custom icon pack I personally use icon pack studio it has tons icon packs plus it themes all icons... For now I'm keeping my S23ultra no need to upgrade

Hey, I also got the S24 Ultra, and I feel you on those complaints. It's whack that Samsung's putting the main features on subscription.
Ive only had my s24 ultra for 6 days but it feels like im using my S23 ultra lol. That said the flat screen is worth the change but my red s23 ultra isnt going anywhere i love that device.
Google is also charging for their AI software... Gemini isnt and wont be free... so I assume they charging Sammy also... which makes sense why Sammy in turn gonna turn that charge over to the ppl... it sucks tho
I see refinement in phones by not getting a phone every year. I normally try to go for the even-year phones but my note 20 Ultra was amazing for 4 years so it was time to upgrade
97 % or the time face unlock works perfectly on my 24 ultra finger print works amazing battery life surfaces iphone battery already so yeah Samsung is doing a great job 👍

The overbrightened photos (that sometimes become overexposed) are very annoying. Even for people with pale skin tones, it's just too much! Interestingly, my family members (all iPhone users) keep saying "Wow, your Samsung takes amazing photos!". I guess it's when you have Samsung products for a long time that you start noticing how sharpened and bright are the pictures. Not sure I can be called a fanyboy, as my mindset is more like "Samsung, I love your phones, but you can you better". Exasperated fanboy, maybe!
Yo Great video as producing videos goes. The only thing that stands out to me is that it's alot of incomplete information about the phone. But you've had the phone for weeks??? You always do the batman thing (The original batman show that was in TV many years ago) leaving the viewers in suspense. I guess that keeps most coming back. I really thought that you were going to give some conclusions about the phone. Of course you didn't and really left me with more questions than answers. Why did I say great video??? Because the way you make the video and maybe the equipment that you use. The appearance is great and the structure is very good too. To think that I'm just being difficult and critical isn't my goal. I am really suggesting that you should answer more definitively and be more clear about what your conclusions are. You leave most questions to the viewer to answer themselves. I wanted your expert opinion about the product. As I stated before great video and I really appreciate the effort you give into making these videos. Have a great day.

S24 ultra I bought, just went to samsung store again after 2 days of buying and compared with display demo phone. Way too much inferior of my phone was in image quality & display brightness while both are on extra brightness mode.
Returned it. Also complained to samsung but received no response.

Flat Screen. For an S-pen sketcher, this is the killer featue.
Youngins just don't really realize any cell phone with a pen internally in flat display is a Samsung Note no matter what you say. They can call it whenever they want to but it is a Samsung Note. I was only forced to get the s24 ultra / note because my note 24 Ultra just isn't working as well as it needs to anymore it still takes photos but it's lacking something I can feel it and I noticed that they're starting to gray out features in the background when I go to you something
If no upgrades from S23 Ultra why the price hike just to cover the cost of AI features??
For those that like to go caseless with their phone, this is one you probably don't wanna go full naked on, because it's a big and heavy phone, and the back is titanium, with dry hands, it's quite slippery. Dropped mine last night, thankfully on my bed LOL, But was surprised how easily I dropped it despite thinking I had a good grip on it, my case is coming in today 😅

As a Samsung user for the last 10 years. The Samsung fanboys are apart of the reason why it lacks today. They have been on a break and fix cycle since the S20. They are half assing releases now.

I think Samsung makes a hell of a phone. I wish the apps were better like they are on Apple iOS devices from the update perspective but at the end of the day, the feature of Samsung brings a pretty next level.

Excellent point, the AI features on the S24 Ultra are only available for a limited time. That would be the only reason why I would choose the S24 over the iPhone.

Im at a point where i may have an ultra phone but like iphones they have started to just not be for me, they all seem the same to me now. I just have to step out and away from to of the most popular bad boys, because im not saying they aren't good, they are beasts of the phone world, but i need something different out of these guys.
