Why can't male hair loss occur on the crack of our asses or our ears or our nose or our back or our legs or our armpits or our chest instead of our heads??? Why does it have to occur on the one place we need and want hair but not on the places that we don't need or want hair at all??
Because unfortunately, DHT is stronger on the crown of your head over all other areas.. that area is exposed to the environment more and is weaker than all other areas.
Exactly, you don't need to use such medications.I went to Turkey to make a HT and no one said i have to take Finasteride or Minoxidoll it's just not neccesary.
in average, total donor area covers how much of a crown of the head? Even if all the original hair falls down, can't the total donor hair do the reasonable job?
We have other videos explaining that topic. There is no such thing as ‘average’ in hair loss, the diversity is huge between patients. ‘Reasonable’ is a subjective term which will also change dramatically from patient to patient.
Hello Doctor, thank you for this video. This is extremely well explained, one the best videos I've seen on the subject. Thank you! May I ask a question? I had a hair transplant two years ago and recently experienced a serious hair loss. I have to say I've been recommended to stop using finasteride after a while (but I was still using minoxidil). Also, I guess spending two months in a hot and sunny country accelerated my hair loss, despite of the precautions I took. Now, I read that getting back on a full routine (finasteride + minox + dermarolling) can help get most of the hair back. I'm quite doubtful when I see how my hairline has been damaged. What do you think about it? Is there any chance to regrow hair thanks to this routine after a while? Thank you so much!!
Hi doc , i just got my firsr ht 2 days ago got prescribed finasteride im just searching around i am scared of the side effects since i do suffer from anxiety and also gyno i know fin can cause diffrent types of sides should i take dutasteride instead or try topical version finasteride dutasteride or minoxidil oral or just go to the topical route. I do have a great donor area which doctor said i have alot of density but he did said i can loose hair from top if i dont jump into a medicine ive never taken anything i also had testicular cancer 5 years ago so what do you suggest i am 31 years old. I only got 2,100 hairline and sides for the ht.
I will give you a practical answer rather than a scientific one. I don’t think we can acquire clear data regarding the risks involved in using DHT blockers in patients with prior testicular cancer. A life threatening problem can not go into the same bag with a cosmetic problem, therefore I would not even touch DHT blockers with a history of testicular cancer. No matter what scientific data may say.
My hair transplant doctor said that the donor hair from the back donor area transplanted to the top isn't reciprocal to DHT hormone which causes male pattern hair loss so it's there for good after the transplant.
@@AnssiEriksson True, I think varies depending on far down of the donor area that the DHT effects & that why many suggest not to get a transplant until one's late 20's - 30's yr. of age.
@@RevDog777 yes maybe kinda, but the clou is, on trt your free-T levels are almost always way higher compared to naturally, even with the exact same levels of total T. happens because trt lowers SHBG in the body. anyway, apparently free-T can fulfill the roles of DHT (in its absence) quite good for the most part in order to uphold sexual function, libido and all the other stuff. so theoretically nuking your DHT should matter a lot less on TRT, or it's less likely to cause these types of problems/issues. hope i'm not doing a terrible job explaining it, but yeah maybe you can do some research, if necessary and youre interested.
Well mate. I’m 2 months on finasteride and Iv already noticed I can’t maintain a erection to save my life. It sucks that I’m Gona have to stop using this and let it go bald. How long did it take for you to bounce back to normal?
Hello Doctor. Thank you for the Valuable information. I just wanted to ask one question. I have alopecia Areata in my beard. Someone told me that if I get Hair Transplant, it might trigger Alopecia Areata in my head as well and I must therefore avoid hair transplant. Can you please comment on that?
It is the strategy and planning that determines whether a hair transplant was a good idea or a mistake. It has to be evaluated individually for each case. Feel free to contact us to find out.
Hello doc. Do i have to use minoxidil and finasteride at the same time ? Offtopic : can an overharvasted donor area be fixed by anoter fue using beard/chest/scalp hair ?
Hey, My clinic suggested some tablets like Ana DHT Plus, Ana Mineral, Ana Amino. Post one week of my hair transplant. Are these medicines really necessary? Cauz they charge a bomb for these. Just these 3 medications is around 7-8k(INR) Please let me know if it's very important or are they just trying to sell it to me.
Good explanation. Something that amazes me is that mankind has the technology and intelligence to get a Rover on the Mars and gather samples and information and data and videos and send it all the way back to Earth, however after all these years mankind still is not figured out a permanent non-invasive solution to hair loss. Or at the very least hair transplant surgery that doesn't require the use of medications to keep things from getting worse.
Excellent Explanation, combating hairloss is a combination between taking the medicine to prevent further hairloss maintaining what you already have... and the hair transplant to just replenish the bald areas, one without the other will not give you the best results. ✌😉
Wait till you get permanent ED from taking Finasteride that continues even if you stop taking it. Enjoy your hair with a penis that doesn’t work and no sex life, forever. That’s not a good trade off to me. That’s a lousy trade off. Finasteride is 1/2 the dose of a drug called Proscar, a prostate shrinking drug used to treat BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy - enlarged prostate). If you start messing around with the prostate, even with drugs, don’t be surprised if you wind up with erectile dysfunction. All for a little hair on your head which a simple hair transplant will cure? No thanks.
In most cases a high hairline in males indicates a slow and progressive hair loss. High hairlines with no hair loss is usually seen in women. Obviously, if you are sure you have no hair loss then you can avoid hair loss medication.
@@aekhairclinic I just already use accutane which I have to take for life and to add finasteride is really taxing on my libido to be honest. Thats my main concern. How can I know if it‘s highly likely not slow/progressive hair loss? Oh and do you take clients from switzerland?

Isn’t topical finasteride, minoxidil, and Nizoral shampoo a pretty solid combination without having to resort to oral finasteride? And just a tip fellas, if you actually do want to use finasteride….don’t get an RX for propecia. Get an RX for Proscar. Propecia is 1mg of finasteride and costs a retarded amount of money, and proscar is 5mg of finasteride and is a cheap generic. You can literally get 5 times the supply for 10 x less the cost. Buying propecia is basically setting your money on fire. Many other similar cases of the exact same medications being re-marketed for something else and costing ridiculous amounts. For the proscar - just get a pill splitter.

Minoxidil maybe.

You dont need those. Just having a healthy diet is enough and maybe a multivitamin with biotin.
The main scientifically proven anti hair loss medication are finasteride and minoxidil.
What about topical finasteride, iv heard there is no sexual side effects is that true?
The side effects should be parallel to its effect. If there is no side effect then I would expect it to have no effect too.

Current science doesn’t have an answer to that question. However, I think it is unlikely that topical finasteride is as effective as oral.
