Happy Tasty Tuesday! Today I'm going to show you how to make these amazing copycat Knotts Berry Farm Shortbread cookies! I've always wondered how to make these shortbread cookies and they are so easy! This is a perfect last minute Christmas gift as well! Enjoy!

✿ Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 cup strawberry jam
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (separate)
1 tsp milk
Bake at 350F for 14 minutes.

For everyone saying their cookies went flat, it might be because you greased your cookie sheet, which promotes spreading in cookies; especially shortbread cookies.

Hi Amanda, You asked if I used salted or unsalted butter, I used salted I really dont think it matters in my opinion to tell you the truth...

I use salted butter for this recipe also I use jam without the bits cos I find the fruit bits burn.
In Australia we call these Jam drops. Makes so much more sense.

These look fantastic!! If I'm going to make them in a stand mixer, should I use the paddle attachment or the whisk attachment? Thank you.
MrsM01...you always want to use the paddle attachment when making cookies unless you want to incorporate air.
MrsM01 paddle attachment is best. the whisk incorporate too much air and so it doesn't hold it shape and very hard to work with. I know from experience
