    Very comprehensive review and to the point and hits the most important aspects, thanks a lot!
    You addressed grind adjustment, range, timer set up, retention, loudness, grind distribution, and more!
    One question: how stable is the grind adjustment, ie does it shift at all over time ?
    I own the Baratza Vario and I believe the burrs do shift which makes it frustrating to dial in espresso.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 роки тому +1

      Glad you enjoyed it! No I wouldn't say it has shifted at all through using it.. it did however shift when I removed the burrs and cleaned out the burr chamber ... the Zero point was no longer the same ... still looking in to why this was the case

      Should basically be the same thing. Except no timer, small 'blow up' hopper and a dosing cup! also some wood accents to compete with the Niche Zero :p
      The good news is, it's slightly cheaper than the XL. I guess due to less electronics? I hope it comes with the Portafilter forks though as an option.

    When main power switch is on, does the display stay on all the time or is there a kind of standby mode?

    Purchased this grinder and in your video there seems to be zero mess when grinding 18 g. On mine i definitely get grounds all over the place near the end of the grind. I’m also targeting 18g for my double basket.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  2 роки тому

      Thanks for sharing - it'll depend on the beans you're using - grind size etc - though I am surprised it sounds like you're having more of an issue than just different settings. Is it still the right grind size and all for you? as in you're able to brew coffee with it no worries?

    • @josemandojana6637
      @josemandojana6637 2 роки тому

      @@AlternativeBrewing yes, brewing is perfect. 18g in, 30 grams out in 30 seconds. Happy with taste and quality, just wondering why I’m getting the mess. Maybe burrs need time to season? For now I’m just stopping the grind before the last 2 seconds to redistribute and this seems like a good workaround.

      Ohh I do like the Libra - for dosing 👌 Built-in scales is where the future is at.

    Me acaba de llegar, lo estoy programando, estoy entretenido. Es Silencioso y bastante rápido. Lo que note es que no entra en reposo después de un tiempo de terminado su uso. Hay que desconectarlo. O yo estoy haciendo algo mal?

    Hello ! Thank you so much for this video. I just bought one, with the single dose hopper/blow up system in addition, and I am not happy with the regularity (nor with the mess created by the blow up)
    On classic use, I am 0,2gr regular so perfect. On single dosing, more 0,4gr, after blowing... Sometimes better but really not regular. But I think I understood that needs some times to be seasoned before being nice single dosing ? I am French so I missed the important word in this specific sentence 😅
    Thank you in advance for your feedback !

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  Рік тому +1

      hahaha! Yes, the grinder most certainly will calm down once seasoned in.
      Oui, le grinder se calmera très certainement une fois assaisonné.

    Beautiful machine, unfortunately it's priced out of my means. I've got my eye on the Silenzio's little sister the Facile. Then I'd like to upgrade it to single dose.

    Can you use this grinder for making 300+ coffees Per day? Or it is for home better ?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  2 роки тому

      It is a Home Grinder more than commercial. It would happily do 50 - 100... but 300 would be pushing it. Eureka has other grinders in their lineup better suited to Commercial environments

    I heard the single dose is delayed, is there any ETA when the Oro single dose will be in stock?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 роки тому

      December is the window of delivery. TBH though, looking back at the past 12 months and knowing how shipping ETAs have been wildly inaccurate - I would open that window up to early to mid Jan 2022.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  2 роки тому

      Yes you can! You'll need some thin nosed pliers - and let the the grinder cool down a little. Adding a small amount of lubricant may help shift them out too
