My parents are convinced that arthritis, diabetes, heart attacks, strokes and cancers are all just a part of getting old. I’m determined to be an example for others that this is false.

That must really hurt. I’m 82 now and I doubt I’d be this old if I hadn’t discovered dr berry back in my 70s. Back then I was a diabetic and on half a dozen medications for blood pressure and other issues attributed to heart issues Just Because I Was Old. Older than my doctors. And we all know how disrespectful the medical industry is about old people…….especially women. So discovering dr berry and the carnivore way of life literally saved my life. In only one month my doctor took me off all diabetic medications. ONE MONTH…… including my insulin . Within the next few months she took me off ALL medications. I I will be forever grateful for the advices of Dr Berry and the other hundreds of doctors who’ve come out of the hidden truths they had to adhere to or else lose their jobs connected to their hospitals. I cry for the mindset of your wonderful parents. Yet I understand how frightening it can be to take a leap of faith and science backed medicine. It seems new, yet it’s the oldest RX on Earth.

I didn’t have any symptoms, but my breast cancer was diagnosed early! 4mm removed lump and now on anastrozole for 5 years. I always had and have mixed feelings about mammograms! I always wondered if the process of screening might cause damage to the breast tissue and later turns to cancer! But thankfully so far 1 year cancer free.
Thankfully I have a friend that has recommended me to watch Dr Berry and she pushes me to excise! So I purchased a rebounder!
8 months carnivore!!! And feeling better each day! 🥓 🥓

I have been on the kito diet for 9 days. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. I’m on medication for it and I was still in bad pain all over the doctor wanted to up my medication. I don’t do well on medication. My son told me about the kito diet and in 8 days I am feeling SO SO MUCH BETTER. OMG this has changed my life. I can’t even believe how fast it works. Thrilled to announce after gifting all of them over the holidays Neishas Holiday cookbook, YOUR Labs book and your Kicking Ass After 50, my beloved brother is on Carnivore! I'm leaving him alone about it, He has found a Carnivore to follow ( I haven't asked) I'm so excited he's researching on his own.

The mammogram saved my life! No symptoms; just a mammogram. That was twenty two years ago! I’m thankful the procedures I went through in order to find my breast cancer. I only had a partial mastectomy and radiation. I’m here today because of the sharp eye of a radiologist.

Mine also will be 20 years ago this year. I had a 'changed' area from age 40 to 41. It was a DCIS stage zero. I don't think they use stage zero anymore. It was all removed during biopsy, nothing at all in the lumpectomy.
I went against conventional treatments and didn't take meds or radiation. They weren't happy with me but too bad.

I absolutely love your delivery Dr. Berry. People tell me I'm sarcastic, I just think it's because I tell it like it is without sugar coating things. We live in an "information overload world." There is absolutely no excuse for ignorance about what should and shouldn't be going into our bodies if we are at all concerned with living a healthy lifestyle. Not only do they not know how to take your blood pressure, they don't know how to take your temperature properly. When I got covid in '21, I went to a urgent care. Right before I went I took my temperature and it was just shy of 102 and I felt absolutely horrible. I get into an exam room and they put a temp probe in my mouth first thing, and take it out in a few seconds to tell me I only have 99.5. I didn't say anything. Got home half an hour later and checked it again, still right around 102. They didn't leave that probe in my mouth long enough at all.

So glad you talked about mammograms. I went through years of back and forth with tests like that; it can be especially common for women with dense breasts. I even had one "abnormality" disappear before they could do the biopsy. I've learned that sometimes the body can heal itself in the very early stages of any kind of disease, even breast cancer or especially benign growths. I gave up on the mammogram merry-go-round years ago in favor of annual thermograms, plus follow-up ultrasound if needed.

I am carnivore, fairly strict, meaning 29 of 30 days less than 10 carbs per day. I have heard this from other Keto friendly doctors, that for people on a carnivore diet, blood sugars are often "elevated" and tend to not go down. What is untold, is the BS remains at that "elevated" level all day without going up. This is true for me. I even purchased a CGM to confirm the data. My BS is basically 100 all the time. While sleeping it may drop to 90, but when up and around it is usually around 100, eating, not eating, doesn't matter. Exercise and cold showers seem to be the only thing to cause a glucose spike. It take me 2 days of fasting to get below 90 and below my 100 "elevated" BS. I had my A1c checked about 6 months after starting carnivore and it was 5.4 (still 200 lbs over weight at that time). It was about 4 months later before I began to check BS. The constant 100 ball park BS readings prompted me to purchase a different brand of glucometer. New meter and CGM confirmed the same results. 2 years carnivore thanks to Dr. Berry. I was truly at the end of my rope when I found him. Didn't care about life or living at that 430 lbs point. When he said eat meat, I didn't do it to heal. I love meat and not don't have to buy foods to throw away when they spoil in the fridge. Now, severe healing has happened and I am much happier and mobile again. Lost 130 lbs in 1 year. 1 year wt stall. cannot figure it out. I may have figured out that the hamburger I started buying in bulk is causing a histamine/inflamation reaction in my body. Switching to cheap steaks and pork chops again to see if that help.
I digressed... I am wondering if Dr Berry has heard of this phenomenon with nearly constant BS. I saw one of the comments of a listener go past during the video that basically they have the same thing with the constant BS. For what it is worth, that constant BS, I never feel the need to nap, almost never yawn, don't need caffeine and can eat without worrying about getting sleepy. I don't get sleepy because of eating. It is amazing! And, I still need to lose 100 lbs. Can't wait to get there.

Depending on the noise, it can trigger rage on a dime. Kind of like a rush of adrenaline but instead it is rage in your brain. So far, carnivore has helped a great deal on my anxiety where it is easier to manage, but nothing for the misophonia.

So saying that, my doctor wants me on statins for over the top cholesterol. I told him what my current diet is and he "scolded"me saying that cholesterol comes from animal fat and to stop ASAP. screening mammo saved me a lot of trouble. 1.5 cm I should have felt, but did not do self exams. DO SELF EXAMS! Did surgery/chemo/radiation and now on anastrozole for 5 years. All of the 3 were "minimal" because it was caught early. Mammos do not extend life, but they certainly enhance quality of life if caught early for sure.

I know some people cannot tolerate dairy, my wife is Asian and she cannot have it. Two, I like to have a small amount of fibre by eating 30 g of ground flax each day in raw milk. I know, we are not supposed to need fibre, but I find it makes my stool softer, so I will still take it.

PLEASE! Be careful on your decision to skip mammograms. If you currently are, or have been metabolically unhealthy in the past, this type of screening is very important! Possibly not every year, but being metabolically unhealthy is a huge risk factor for any type of cancer.

I'd love an episode (with Doctor Kiltz or otherwise but I know of no others that talk about it) about "glycobiology" and "glycokalics". What is meant by these and how diet affects it. And also what timescales are involved to get back to a normal state with regard to that.
Dr Kiltz ascribes great importance to this aspect of biology and I am intrigued by it.

One of the absolute best things you can do is reduce oxidation. Is you can control that, you're likely not going to suffer a cardiovascular episode. Add vit K2, increase water intake, and look into oligomeric proanthocyanidins to remove blood sludge.

Talking about poor carnivore, Australia is a great place to be if you are a poor carnivore. I currently live on an income that is considered to be less than half of the poverty line in Australia (by choice, don't feel sorry for me), and IMO apart from a nutritionally devoid highly processed diet on things like perhaps noodles and ice cream indulgent carnivore is perhaps the cheapest way to eat in Australia especially if you want to eat natural whole foods. My daily meat costs me about US$3 per pound using current conversions for the Americans but I'm not eating ground beef, that would be more expensive. I'm eating what South Americans call Picanha, the ultimate cut of beef IMO which just also happens to be the cheapest in Australia. In Australia we don't call it Picanha, we call it whole rump with the cap. But our cut of rump is actually the exact same cut called Picanha in South America. So I'm apparently living in extreme poverty but my diet is as indulgent as it gets. And the reality is I can eat cheaper and increase my nutrition because eggs and pork shoulder are even cheaper. But at the moment I estimate about 90% or more of what I eat is Picanha.
Now I've written before that I'm not convinced that carnivore is the ultimate long term diet for my ultimate health goal of longevity, I think that is actually something more like a Mediterranean diet that doesn't include any foods the individual has some kind of intolerance to. But I do think the carnivore diet is the best medical tool for reversing metabolic conditions and for healing the gut lining and I think of carnivore as the ultimate elimination diet which can be used as a tool to identify what foods one shouldn't eat. For me the Carnivore diet is mostly advantageous at the moment because it's so easy and time efficient. That's my main reason at the moment as I currently don't have time to prepare the foods I'd rather be eating but I'm also doing it as a new year reset to get rid of the weight and issues that are a result of some indulgence last year. I've also used carnivore for about 20 years as a 1-3 day reset after indulging especially when I did cheat days in the past. For a long time I lived on what would be considered a ketovore diet now but I had a cheat day every week which I always followed with 1-3 days of eating nothing but meat. Here's an interesting note for anyone interested that flies in the face of the energy balance model, I weigh myself multiple times a day as a curious mind and on that previous diet, my lightest weight in any week was the morning after my cheat day, the day I ate the most calories. And it's not like I was trying to be calorie deficient at any point since I ate meat 5-6 times a day every day along with veggies 2-3 times a day. Not my healthiest diet but I did have better results than carnivore. My healthiest diet was a diet where I tracked my nutrients and ate a diet that included even more veggies but focussed on food that don't have an inflammatory response. My goal is to return to that diet and I only gave it up as I no longer had the time to prepare my meals working 11 hour days at the time.

I've been on strict carnivore for three months, doing pretty good, but I'm having awful cravings for apples, I've never been a big apple eater, but today I finally broke down and bought 3 Granny Smith apples and devoured one as soon as I got home. I have always loved fruit and really miss eating my fruit, is it okay to eat fruit on carnivore diet?

    • @lindagutierrez6335
      @lindagutierrez6335 7 місяців тому

maybe there's something in the apples, your body is lacking. If you're concerned maybe you could cut down to 2 apples a day, and eat only half an apple at a time. I'm doing great on carnivore but I do have about 100 carbs a day in the form of bread. But my body feels satisfied and I'm content.
