    Thank you Dr Berry! I’m a 62 yr old female. Started carnivore June 3, 2023. Was feeling awful so decided to try it. I had bad arthritis pain in my spine, necrosis at top of femur, asthma, eczema and too many allergies. After 4 days on carnivore my inflammation was so improved it was amazing. It has only gotten better and now I’m able to walk with hardly any pain in my hip. I’m off all 3 asthma meds and eczema is improving. Energy is great and I was at 180 lbs and now down to 145.

    Hello, I'm a 50 year old woman who's in remission from chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was on a weekly biologic injectible medication "Enbrel," with other prescriptions like Celebrex, Methotrexate, Tramadol & Prednisone at times that made my immune system sick and my body obese & weak starting at the age of 27. I started eating a ketogenic lifestyle in September 2019, and now I'm mainly carnivore "Ketovore." This way of eating is the only thing that has helped my weight loss of 60lbs, severe pain, inflammation, and other metobolic health conditions. Also, I started implementing lifting heavy weights, strength training & balance exercises 4 times a week last April. It has been a new life for me! You can seek your true health every day, starting with what you eat/drink & don't eat/drink. Thank you,

      Hello, I started Keto in September 2019. Within 6 months, I felt so much better & lost 65lbs. I did wean myself off Enbrel, Sulfasalazine & then Celebrex. I was still on Tramadol until I weaned myself off on Oct 15th, 2023! I have moved into a Ketovore lifestyle because most plants give me inflammation. It's important to do your own N=1 experiment. If you have a supportive rheumatologist. I recommend that you ween your medications off with his are her help. So, Now I'm lifting weights, strength training & my inflammation is very minimal. Let me know if I can be of anymore help. Peace & Love

      I think a farm themed summer camp with barn shaped cabins, a big barn for dining hall and classes. Walking trails, farm animals, activities. Other influencers in the Keto, Ketovore, and Carnivore communities could arrange to come by to visit and teach as well. Then we'd have a place where we could go for vacation and not need to worry about the food and actually grow out PhD knowledge while meeting great people from our own community. Then we could all stay in one of Dr. Berry's barns 😊

    Good morning Dr. Berry! My husband and I started watching your videos several months ago. I had started losing weight a couple of months before because I had increased my protein intake quite a bit. I realized I just felt better eating higher protein and less carbs. My husband saw my weight loss and starting researching on UA-cam, and found your videos. We watched several and dove in to Carnivore eating. I have now lost 90 pounds, and he’s lost 40. We buy the Costco cold packs of Ribeye and New York steaks and he cuts them. I have also lost 38 inches and I’m well on my way to my 1977 basic training weight. Just 32 pounds to go. I am comfortably in a size 11, and almost in a 9/10 which I wore in 1981. Our doctor was all in favor of our eating habits when we saw her at the beginning of Carnivore eating, but when we saw her last week and we said we eat a lot of beef she was horrified and tried to talk us out of it. We told her, respectfully, we would not change. Of course she warned us about our heart, blah blah blah, but we are immoveable. Thank you for helping us change our lives. I'm 65, and my husband is 67 and we feel better now than we did 25 years ago. We celebrate our 33 anniversary next month!

      What didn't your Dr like when she saw your weight loss? My guess is she didn't like your labs! High cholesterol and high LDL. Both of those blood markers need to be high, indicating you are giving your body the fat it needs to function optimally. We NEED fat for our brains to stay healthy and to heal. The brain is made up of almost completely fat! We need dietary fat for our hormones to function properly, and for the cell mitochondria to function! My Dr hates it when I disagree with her and start explaining this phenomenon and why it's GOOD for my LDL to be 275 and Cholesterol to be 350. It's triglycerides that need to be low. (Mine is 85). Congratulations on your weight loss, improved metabolic health and for standing up to your doctor!!! Nice! 👍

      @@PhyllisWalls-nr2tl You are right, except my labs are perfect, except my sugar was high. Which is weird because we hardly ever eat sugar, or products with sugar. And we agree with everything you said. I used to take cholesterol meds but it gave me severe migraines. When I dropped my first 70 pounds, I asked her if I could stop and she approved. Now I told her I’ll never take that medication again, period. We agree with you about the cholesterol numbers, and that we need fat intake. Everyone else eats stuff bad and uses toxic oils, but not us. Our Dr. is from India and that says it all. She’s a great doctor, but she’s a vegetarian. What else can I say? Have a very blessed day!

    • @PhyllisWalls-nr2tl
      @PhyllisWalls-nr2tl 4 місяці тому

      @@susiecamerer384 I'm so glad you responded to my message. About your Dr being "horrified" that you're eating lots of red meat: being from India, don't they believe cows are sacred? Something about people from their past being reincarnated into cows? Did she say why she was so horrified that you eat red meat? Being vegetarian, she may be feeling horrible & be metabolically unhealthy but you would never know that. For 30 years I thought I was eating a perfectly healthy diet: organic vegetables, beans and chicken. It didn't catch up with me until 30 years later when I suddenly started feeling REALLY sick, exhausted, brain fog, malnourished and metabolically ill. If she's still young, maybe her unhealthy eating hasn't caught up with her yet. Did she tell you she was vegetarian because she wanted you to become a vegetarian too? At first she was supportive of your meat based woe, then at your next appointment she wasn't? Your glucose blood test has to be done between 12 and 14 hours (Dr berry's advice.) Otherwise it could make blood markers incorrect. You could ask him in a livestream why all your blood markers are perfect except glucose. Are you a member of his private PHD community? If so you can ask him in a private community live on Tuesdays at 6 pm CST. There are 300 people watching in his private livestreams instead of 4,000 people on his Monday Night Live UA-cam. What was your blood glucose at your last blood test?

    • @PhyllisWalls-nr2tl
      @PhyllisWalls-nr2tl 4 місяці тому

      @@susiecamerer384 I believe blood glucose can be elevated by eating any carbs, not just "sugar." Dairy turns to sugar and I think high carb vegetables can also drive your blood glucose up. I'm sorry I'm not well versed on elevated blood glucose. Mine is always 75-85 so I haven't had the need to learn more about it. Dr Berry will know! Be sure and put the letters QQQ before your question so he sees it

    Long time keto - I'm a 79-year-old man. I will admit that over the past few years, I have been doing keto but sometimes doing what I have to admit was dirty keto, of course, those chocolate bars with peanuts and all kinds of other sweet, tasting chemicals that have a big splashy advertisement on the label that says only 2 g net carbs they can't be bad, can they????? However, I've been pretty strict the last year, and you know, for the first time last night, as I was going to bed, I looked in the refrigerator and had a 100% beef meat stick that looked a lot better than any sugar-laden carbohydrate, that desert was only in my mind. I don't leave that kind of stuff in my refrigerator anymore. When they say carbohydrate addiction, I believe, in some ways, it is more addictive than heroin; it takes a lot longer to get over carbohydrate cravings than any other substance on earth, but remember, nothing tastes good enough to feel bad!

    Loving the carnivore diet. Will never go back to eating any other way. Me and my wife are doing it together. We are in our 30's, so we have a lot years eating the proper human diet ahead of us. We also strength train. One set to failure per exercise using Doug McGuff's body part split routine he laid out on his youtube channel. We don't have any health problems other than our doctors are concerned about our high cholesterol, so we printed the lasted study "Increased ldl-cholesterol on a low-cabohydrate diet in adults with normal but not high body weight: a meta-analysis", to take to them so maybe they will learn something.

      @sanekabc genetics in being able to live that long. If you look into to the actual diet of the those "blue zone" , which is a marketing scheme (they have to pay a fee to be considered blue zone area), they eat alot of animal fat and protein. @@sanekabc A more provocative question is how how do we explain the seemingly miraculous health comebacks of strict carnivores? Have you tried it yourself? I was once one of those who thought it sounded crazy too. All this dismissal with no curiosity is a bad look.

    • @sanekabc
      @sanekabc 4 місяці тому

      @@silasakron4692 I have a spidey sense for poor logic. The claim that this is the diet that humans were meant to eat is simply unfounded. Also, you are jumping to conclusions to think I lack curiosity or that I am dismissing this diet, again a sign of poor reasoning or you are just trying to insult. Humans are 98% similar to chimps not lions. I'm not doubting the health comebacks. In fact, I feel pretty darn good when I up my meat intake. But one size does not fit all when it comes to health and diet. One man's meat is another man's poison.

    • @YetAnotherCarnivore
      @YetAnotherCarnivore 4 місяці тому

      @sanekabc Any animal on this planet can't heal on a diet that it is not biologically adequate for. A animal will only get sick from something that does not belong inside them. I would love you to go eat any diet of any chimp and see if that 98% genetic similarity has anything to do with the diet of two different species. Guess your spidey senses have failed you on this one.

    My dad was a Chiropractor, now passed. Chiros learn more nutrition because they don't use Rx's. So if you need Rx's, you obviously need the MD. But, if you don't, the DC helps more with "health" care. However, that's finally starting to change! Thank goodness because that's where most everyone goes...to the MD which we need. Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not talking against them. Much of what they do is fantastic. Hey, I had a C-section. Thank goodness for MDs or my daughter and I probably wouldn't have be here today! Think of Rxs for infections...good stuff! You get the idea. But, health care?? No! That's why I'm so happy to see these videos. Dr. Berry is helping so many people who had no hope previously. I hope more and more MDs get on board. I'm not carnivore, kind of Keto. But, no crap! All whole food. Back to my dad, he used to say that if it comes in a box, bag, or can...(manufactured foodS) don't eat it. He was against margarine back when all the "evidence" said that butter was bad and margarine was good. He was against all the sugar, too. As he used to say, if God created it, eat it. Meat, eggs, (eventually against dairy for the most part) real fruit and veggies, and some nuts and seeds. Well, he was before his time. But, now we even know that fruit today is not the fruit that was originally here before we messed with it. So, now I eat fruit to a minimum as an occasionall treat. I've lost 20 pounds and have 45 to go. But I already have more energy and I would never go back. Keep them coming, Dr. Berry!

    Last 7 days been doing about a pound of full fat oven roasted brisket with minimum of 3 eggs onad. My average glucose actually dropped to 110 as 7 day average. It seems to work better for me eating my one meal between 11 am to 12 noon. 10 units of basal insulin at 8 am and 2 units novolog insulin for bolus and not more than 3 units. Dawn phenomena is super controlled. Eating in the evening increases dawn phenomenon for me.

    Just real quick, the FASTEST way to enter ketosis and make any diet (except vegan) easier is a 72 hour water fast. Add a little Redmond pink salt to the water to keep your electrolytes up. NOT for the faint of heart, day 2 really sucks, but afternoon of day 3 is the breakthrough.

    For a long time I have been urinating three and sometimes four times a night. This was both before and after I jumped up from Keto almost carnivore to carnavore with cream and cream cheese on January first of this year. I am still going three to four times a night and more frequently during the day. Also, by the way, I was trying to get my way back to the weight I had after I got out of the Navy, 160 lbs. I weighed 175. Today I weighed 158 lbs on carnavore.

    Dr. Berry. I have been on the Carnivore diet for 70 days. I have lost 15 pounds (195 lbs. to 180 lbs.) and I feel good. Recently, I had blood work done and I received my results today. In comparison to my last labs back in June 2023, the current labs have me a bit confused. June 23/February 24: Total cholesterol: 237/328, Triglyceride: 85/139, HDL: 52/37, LDL: 168/263, VLDL (calc):----/28. All of my other results were by far and large, perfect. My concern is that being on a strict carnivore diet, my HDL has gone down, and my triglyceride has increased. I do have a coronary artery calcium scan scheduled for tomorrow and I'm hoping for a low score. I guess my question is, what am I doing wrong? I expected the LDL and total chl. to go up but not the others to change to the negative. I am an L-3 paraplegic in a wheelchair but I lift weights 3 times a week with cardio and feel and look stronger than before the diet. Any advice would be great and helpful. I will re-do labs in May. Thank you.
